4 Union videos and you are the only one to explain what its really for, with a nice real world application. In the last 4:20 video the "expert had 10 second of screwing a union together and 4:10 of closeups of his "happy" smiling face, he was really in love with himself. Nicely Done, thank you.

Lol, that's wild! Thanks for watching and the compliment! I'm a cold war vet myself, 59th Ord Brigade, late eighties.

Love your videos!! Do you have a video for figuring out the mainline size for a system

Thanks for watching! I don't have a video ready to release for that particular subject yet. That will be part of our installation course to drop in another month or so.

Let me ask you, can you mix and match different union halves? Like I was wanting to have threads on one side and slip on the other side and shop doesn’t sell that. Oh I am talking about plastic not brass. Thanks a lot!

Yeah definitely if it's the same manufacturer. I've done it before. Sometimes you just have to work with threads, but I always trust my own gluing more than threads. So I will switch to slip whenever possible.

@@Proirrigationtraining not quite following you. I probably did a poor job of explaining that I was trying to get a threaded female socket on one side of the union and then slip socket on the other side. I know in Brass unions since they are cast as a unit, this rarely works well. However plastic being injection molded or cut threads I thought they might be much more forgiving. And the spot I am speaking of “not working” is the actual seal that is created at the O Ring where the union halves are joined together creating the water tight seal. I hope that clarifies my inital muddy question and perhaps that changes your answer? Oh yes, sticking with the same “style” and manufacture would be critical for this to work properly, your dead on considering that part for sure. Thanks again! Look forward to seeing if you are still thinking the same thing. Cheers. Chad
