I have a 1980 2.6 two wheel drive that has a knock i am going all in and tear it down, I had two red 1986 d-50 rams brand new one was the power ram 50 i miss so much both were red, i got this one over paid but i wanted so bad for $800 2.6 it is straight little to no rust wish me luck
...the timing chain has a bit of slack, about 1/2" or so, on the driver's side ... passenger side is tight, the side where the tensioner is installed ...the chain, sprockets, all look good & shinny, no sign of damage as far as the eye can see ... should this be a concern ? G54B engine, 2.6L auto, gas
...the mikuni carb has 5 bolts, 4 around the twin barrels, easy to identify, the 5th somewhere, the manual doesn't say nor shows whereabouts ... where is it, anybody knows or has a picture ? G54B engine 2.6L AT Mikuni 32-35DIDTA carb

Definitely wishing you luck! We are going g to do an engine swap. Considering a trip conversion for it.

I have some confusion on the rocker arms, do they have to be removed?
