I know it's been a year, but fr though, this game seems like one of the most insane and simple puzzle games I have ever seen. it's so simple yet so smart. Great job dude
No lie, when Tyler made a move where the snake barely got back to land before falling into the water, I said out loud "You couldn't do that in Snakebird." Tyler's immediate next words: "I don't think you could do that kind of maneuver in Snakebird." Got a good laugh out of that one
@@beeholland5946 I think the thing he was talking about not being able to do is moving into the space where the tail end of your character is. Going from supporting yourself by your tail to supporting yourself by your head is pretty standard for this type of puzzle
Absolutely. Puzzle games where you have to remember a million mechanics are hard to follow (red square does X. Blue square does Y. Red triangle does Z...)
I don’t know if Tyler figured it out at the end, but the food gets stuck whenever you try to eat it while your tail is close to the wall, because there is no room to grow.
This game's mechanics remind me a bit of Stephen's Sausage Roll, though the clean aesthetics make this game's levels a lot nicer to approach visually. Interested to see more if you find it something worthwhile.
It would be awesome if you had a chat with the devs about this game! Would love to have some context on it. They got everything right from aesthetics to sound design. The puzzles are really satisfying and the “adventure” style approach never breaks immersion, as compared to navigating menus. Definitely a wishlist item!
I think I noticed something that Tyler missed that explains him lacking 2 symbols: In the second to last room there was another ring redirection wire, and in the last one there was launcher pointing right at one in the previous room with a wire connected to it. I feel like that gives you access to the same puzzle but maybe in the different starting position or something. Also, mushroom part seems to have another “currency” indicated by symbols at the door
I spent 100 DAYS playing this amazing puzzle game, here's what HAPPENED also, according to UA-cam statistics, only a small percentage of my viewers actually play puzzle games. so please, play puzzle games, some are free, and are good for your mind
The robot arm shaking the can reminds me of how they used to program robot arms for nuclear chemistry. They would observe a technician, and assume every movement was necessary to the process, and try to reproduce it exactly. Upshot being that watching a robot perform human somatic behavior is uncanny, that aspect of the experience would get emphatic questions, and commentary from most visitors.
Tyler kind of summed up my thoughts throughout the video, especially around 7:30, but I’ll express my appreciation anyways. First off big ups for the art style, it’s exactly what you need for a calm puzzle game. More importantly, it’s nice to see a puzzle game that’s difficulty doesn’t come from fighting against the mechanics, but instead from the puzzles being precisely built to make you think outside the box with your simple, intuitive mechanics. For example, you can replace your tail with your head and not fall off the platform. That’s an intuitive feature but most developers would not allow that in order to avoid having to build puzzles around it. All in all, I hope to see more.
Bear in mind that some of the puzzles have been modified since this series was recorded - for example, 1-12 which is shown at 13:58 has had that two tile gap the worm is in shifted to the right by one tile - making this puzzle MUCH harder, requiring techniques you learn later in the game.
So I've come back to this video from way later in the series... First of all, great game, great series, highly recommend both. And I'll try not to spoil anything, but at 14:30 when Tyler says he feels he got one over on the designer... Ha. Haha. Ahahahaha hahaha No. No you did not.
I really love how you put exactly what game you’re playing and how to access it in every video where you play a new game. Somethnn I’m g more UA-camrs need to do honestly.
I tried this game today and got confused many times, then I checked this video. I have to say you are so intelligent. Not just that you solve puzzles fast, but also you adapt to new ideas and new methods really quickly. Intelligent man
haha I love how you say you feel like you got one over on the developer here, when tonight's episode showed that the developer very much got one over on you! What an amazing game.
There were what looked like extra starting points in some of the later levels played. Is there a secret way to access them? I doubt they’re just aesthetic.
“This looks like a cool game! I wanna buy it for mysel-“ “The game is not out yet so all you can do is watch it here! *maniacal laughter*” “fuck, now I have to subscribe”
i know people were talking about how it's similar to snakebird, but it also reminds me a bit of Room to Grow with the whole pushing things with your tail thing
I got an early copy of this game years ago! I really enjoyed what it had at the time but life was stressful and I forgot to properly review it for the creator, always made me feel so bad. Was so excited seeing the updated artwork and everything and a proper release date. Just been waiting for it so I can write a review to at least in some way repay them for being so kind to me
Hey tyler i've watched you play a lot of puzzle games. This one looks to be a very good one. Which made me wonder. What are some of your favorite puzzle games
Thanks for playing this! I've been working on this for a while and am excited to release it into the world
It’s a great game!

Am I stupid, or did he do it at 6:10 on his 1st snakebird video

@@jeezuhskriste5759 Oh yeah, sorry.
Finally, a puzzle game where I’m not confused in the first episode
what about the start?
Absolutely. Puzzle games where you have to remember a million mechanics are hard to follow (red square does X. Blue square does Y. Red triangle does Z...)
@@retrogiftsuk4812oh definitely
Quite literally the opposite for me. I generally do OK following whatever's going on but this game just...Doesn't process.
@@retrogiftsuk4812 Papyrus's square puzzle in a nutshell

Long cactus be like

the only similarity in mechanics is the importance of backing up, tbh
wormwhile

More like the amazing puzzle game we didn’t know we needed.

My brain is already filled with happy chemicals once I see a puzzle game
Hope this series continues aswell as the other puzzle games!

Love the fact that whenever there's an "oh okay" moment for the first time, the game slows down and zooms in on it happening.
the only way for Tyler to play any sort of Sokoban games is for that it can't be the main aspect. I am all in favor of the last shown puzzle
These are some of the favorite types of games for me to watch Tyler play. I love when there is a new puzzle game series
Holy shit this is so fun to watch. In most of the puzzle games I kinda feel lost. This one I actually have a grasp on and am thoroughly enjoying it

they 100% got inspiration for those little foam circles you used to shoot out of a small air gun
I feel like this one’s going to be a banger. It’s early but the puzzles seem really high quality
Having already played this I can assure you this will definitely be among the best puzzle games (and even games period) of 2023.
Thanks :) ❤
This seems like a great game, im looking forward to more videos on it!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TYLER 🎉🎉🎉
WOOOOO🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Reminds me a lot of the Cactus games core mechanic, combined with Snakebird. Im hoping that it evolves to incorporate the cool overworld more!
There were what looked like extra starting points in some of the later levels played. Is there a secret way to access them? I doubt they’re just aesthetic.
The plot thickens... :)
This is my second time watching this series and im enjoying it just as much truly a great game and a great player too!
Great job editing Dan!
man i kind of wish you would stick with a game for a while, I enjoy all of your videos but I get so much more invested when I see a series
This is fascinating! I'm instantly hooked!
With a name like that, I was expecting some trippy Patrick's Parabox type shenanigans...
But I wasn't disappointed by what I got instead
Game looks really good. Excited for more of this one
This game looks like a fever dream, I love it
the food mouth stuck is a genius design
“This looks like a cool game! I wanna buy it for mysel-“

This game is awesome!!
This puzzle game looks promising haven’t seen such a good puzzled game since Taiji
This game looks great! I hope that you will play more of it
Thanks!
Btw, if you enjoyed super auto pets, you will probably like beastrun
its the same concept but more in depth imo

There's no reason to feel bad!! I hope life has become less stressful :)
this game looks like it will become viciously difficult very quickly
The legs aren't even legs, the worms are just using themselves as legs
who else is coming back after seeing the ending to see if the beginning makes much more sense
Another new puzzle game that Tyler makes a video on, another game I simply HAVE to play!
Not gameplay wise, but design wise this game feels like Silicon Valley on the N64
Already know this is gonna be a banger
Really enjoy how happy you are and the enthusiasm you put in these games/videos man!
the ol wrap around this game looks so good
Oh, you'll love this game. Playtester's guarantee.
The worm didn't eat the ball because there was no room for it to grow, so it physically couldn't eat it.
Thank you for the video Tyler and editors!
this is a beautiful game with good mechanics, id love to see a series of it
The 12:00 AM watch time has begun 🔥
The best thing about puzzle games is that I forget the solution so if I ever play myself, I'd have to figure it out myself
I think Tyler should play n step Steve at some point, it's surprisingly fun and very challenging
2:50, the timestamp where he GROSSLY understated what will happen to his tiny brain
Gotta love the nightly uploads of puzzle games
amzing game amazing creator keep up the good work!
Thanks for the video!
this is good. more of this please
I immediately thought of snakebird when you started playing so Im very excited for this game
This has a weirdly nice art style
1:26 if you look closely you can see the background is the black ship's sigil.
"maybe it's fine, it's not fine" moment before disaster.
THIS IS A FANTASTIC GAME
New tyler puzzle game: exists
Me: checks the itch featured
6:19 actually, you can do a similar thing in Snakebird.
0:32 "pOUR The hAppy cHEmIcaLs iN The cAn"
Looks like some of the levels can be entered from different angles
The smug laugh at the end lmao
I love it, and hope you will make more videos of it
When I first saw the tile, i thought this would be a game about finding gems that were hidden
Barely a few minutes into the video and I absolutely noped the fuck out the first wormhole after he took the rocket
Insane puzzle design.
the 15min felt like I just started watching because it was so interesting
i loved playing this game
Nimbly navigated, impressive lenght!
Maybe there’s going to be a point in the game where you take the rocket ship back to the underworld
the weird symbol is probably the japanese character “ki” which could be a play on words as a key
6:50 I hope that's not something you try often
This might be the next Stephen's Sausage Roll
I watched the trailer to this game - it gets WILD.
he needs to play pikmin on his channel
super cool game!
When the snake stuffed a edible into it’s mouth, I felt that (I Stuff my mouth with food a lot, it’s kinda a problem lol)
just realized
those aren't food pellets
*_those are 1-tile worms_*
7:42
_squishcraft trauma_
love it
You should finish tametsi one day, it has some really hard levels later on
This is awesome
Really neat game
This game is reminds me of a mix of Snakebird and Room to Grow (the cactus game).
I like the concept of this game
Looks really interesting
