I think with quality concerns like tolerance yes, although the balance on some of the cheaper balis are not as good as they could be. If you like flipping and are moving up the price range highly recommend a prysma. It will show you which bias you might prefer
we are in an overall balisong renaissance, i remember even when i joined that there weren't that many options that weren't obscure or kind of bad(which is part of the reason i collect those pieces), then like a year ago its like the amount of people coming into the hobby went like this ^ and the amount of people making or saying their gonna make a bali went like this ^ and the surprising quality of those balis were getting better as well, i remember machinewise's first balisong because i have one, its chonky, now he makes some of the best balis ever and now even mediocre companies from back when are coming out with balis that look awesome, the fox/fiore phi, the andux balisong that looking way to good for a ccc company, im just waiting for brous blades to correct their mistake on the blackcell and not pressfit the bushings into the blade and making the b3 by making something awesome because if fox knives can make the phi, brous blades has like no excuse.
as everybody been saying, if you wanna get into the hobby, this is the time.

Man, I got into Balisongs around a decade ago and have been flipping my cheap-ish knives for years. I was still flipping in my spare time a little, but I was out of the "community" for a long time. I'm "back" now, and wow, the choices we have and the size of the community is amazing.
Started in 2017 and wanted to finally get back into it with a new balisong and glad I chose now to buy a new one!

i started flipping with 3 sticks that I drilled holes in and tied together with string, best $0 bali on the market in my opinion
now I've got a $20 andux balisong now tho and with a lil lube and locktite, its great. my mate had a shit comb he bought off ebay and after trying mine, got a sqiddy-b coz he realised how bad his was. then i tried his sqiddy-b and I'm so jealous of how well balanced it is so ima buy a mako v4.5 and I guess we'll just keep one-upping eachother until we both have thousand-dollar knives

You asked how people got in before. 7 years ago my first bali was a bm 52 that my friend lost then I got a replicant and then I got an alpha beast. All within the first year while not learning any real tricks lol. I lost interest pretty quick honestly and now all this time later I just started again because I bought a vulp 😎

@@jnyc96 I had my first butterfly in 2005 and I don’t think they had trainers at the time, at least as far as I knew. After getting back into the hobby last year I am shocked at the developments. Got me a krake raken and holy shit we’ve come a long way boys. Let’s go!

What is the white one called, i got a random amazon bali, it was a good flipper back then, and it has been through everything, the play and tap are way beyond repair. The peeve i have with it is that there is no screws. So im just using it until it breaks and the vulp or the white one in the vid is my next choice. EDIT: i found it, Glidr 's Bermuda, its all sold out so i guess im goin with the vulp.

they definitely are, I still have a bunch of cheap chinese garbage from 10 years ago that is so bad. i am just now returning to the market after years away and looking now it is incredible the options available and stuff that is actually usable.

Where can I find a blade to put in the Bermuda? If that would even work.
I want to learn more technical tricks but I think it would be best to use a trainer instead of the real deal like I have been doing until now, but at the same time I would like to be able to put a blade in it some time in the future.
