thank you. very good review. if only this device was on the market a few years ago. im currently using MLX90640 module+raspi+cam. same function basically(but bigger) 😊
I was looking for one for nearly 2 years before I bought this one, then I saw it for a good price. So far, it is serving me well - not only for my UA-cam videos, but also some special home repair situations.
I have an application for this infra-red camera. Any idea how accurate the temperature readings are? For my immediate application it does not have to be super accurate, just an indicator of temperature, but down the road something quite accurate say +/- 2 Deg. F. Thanks for bringing this product to my attention.
I honestly believe it is accurate withing the ranges you indicate. It's biggest drawback is the offest between the infrared and video cameras, and the overall resolution.
Do you think this could be used on troubleshooting electronics? With it low resolution and the size of the electronic component is it do able?
Yes, I think so. If you are looking for electronic components that are overheating.
@@PE4Doers i thought it will have a hard time pin pointing a small parts because of its resolution. I think i could get one thank you very much
What’s the distance or range to pick up heat signature?
I found it works from 2ft to as far as 8ft.
Hi my device dose not start, any ideas?
I wish I knew what to suggest. It could be so many things. I just tried mine and it works fine.
will it help to detect water leak?
I never tried using it for that, however if it is cold water coming out in a heated environment, or visa verse, I believe it should function to some degree.
Try the Flir-one attachment for your smartphone, then you can use the real estate of your entire smartphone screen with better resolution.
I will take a look at that - thanks.
Looks like the optical image doesn't line up anywhere close with the thermal image.
It's a bit off, but there are some adjustments that I had not done at the time of this video
How do you remove the dot on it
I assume you mean the Dot on the screen. I have not looked, but I believe it is a menu choice.
@@PE4Doers so I can take a clear picture without the dot on the screen I want nothing on the screen
Hey man you have Gmail I can email of what I mean
