In this video, we’re going to talk about why it seems that everyone is getting shingles.
Shingles is a viral infection caused by a virus called herpes zoster, the same virus that causes chickenpox. This virus often lays dormant for many years before creating a severe and painful rash.
Normally, 1.5 to 2.5 out of 1000 people will have shingles on average. However, from 2000 to 2007, there was an average of 3 cases of shingles per 1000 people.
In certain areas, this number can be even higher.
Shingles hides in your nerves in a dormant state until you experience a suppression of immunity.
If your immune system is weakened in any way, you can potentially develop shingles if you have the virus.
Someone with a strong immune system is less likely to have a severe case of shingles.
Certain things can be a trigger for this virus coming out of remission and causing shingles, including:
1. Cancer and asthma drugs
2. Prednisone
3. Radiation
4. Stress
5. A poor diet
6. A lack of sleep
7. Pesticides and insecticides
In more recent years, our exposure to pesticides has increased significantly. I believe that this is causing poor immune function and increased cases of shingles.
The best things to help detoxify the harmful pesticides in your body are:
• Fasting
• Vitamin D
• Vitamin C
• Zinc
• L-Lysine
• Melatonin
• Cruciferous vegetables (especially radish)

In the Fall of 2000, my 5yr old daughter got the shingles after her school forced her to get the chicken pox vaccine. I explained to the school that she had the chicken pox when she was 2 and didn't need the vaccine. They didn't care and wouldn't allow her to continue school until she was vaccinated. She got the shingles a week after being vaccinated. I never heard my child scream so loudly for so long due to the excruciating pain. I felt so helpless! I took her to the doctors and they were shocked to see she had the shingles at such a young age. Clueless doctors!! Pharma corruption? I think so!!

@@mar13keta public schools require all kids to be fully vaccinated prior to starting school. I know in some states parents have no choice but to vaccinate, in some you can right off vaccinations.
I'm going to jump on the "got it after vaccination" train. About 10 days after my first booster (and my last), I broke out tremendously around the rib cage and STILL have occasional pain to this day. My doctor told me he was (as well as his colleagues) getting swamped with shingles cases all around the same time as this booster was given en masse. It is horrific to get and takes a long time to get rid of... if ever.

I believe this also. I got shingles in May 2022 and believe that Covid vaccine could have been the culprit.
I also got shingles after my first (and last) booster for covid. If I had known all I know now, I would never have had it in the first place.
As a country Ireland had the highest uptake of Covid vaccines per head of pop in the World... We now have a Shingles epidemic in this country. Our immune system build up since childhood has been decimated. I got shingles last Christmas, am still suffering, 4 months on... My Doctor confirmed to me last week that my immune system in under the floor.. We were never advised about this when vaccines were developed... It is very distressing...

My Mom started getting shingles chronically after she got her shingles vaccine many years ago, Also being the stubborn person that she is...and after getting the pfizer cv vaccine about three months ago. She ended up with terrible migraines and body aches for two weeks. Then boom! Shingles has been chronically reactivated. I'm praying she won't get the booster that they are currently pushing.

I have been fine after my Covid vaccines but at 50 I got shingles so severely, I'm permanently blind in my left eye. I take prophylactic Vaclovir instead of getting shingles vaccine bc of how severe I had it and my immune issues. Maybe she could talk to her Dr about taking 500 mg a day of Vaclovir

I live in Alaska, I know this episode is old but, seems like every other person of all age groups have been breaking out. We haven’t had much sun this summer and they are still breaking out horribly. Most of them have had the “shot” .

Dr. Berg, I broke out in Shingles last Wednesday. I bought L-Lysine, took double dosages of it, elimimated sugar (very difficult for me), increased cruciferous veggies, and it seems in check now on Sunday. Thank you. You have helped me in other health issues too. 🙏
Lady, L-lysine is very helpful for shingles. It’s how I got through it 15 years ago. It is very painful and seems to lasts forever. The amino acid, L-lysine helps to shorten the duration of shingles.
What dosage did you take?
@@lindajustice2000 Quantum Health Super Lysesne 3 tablets am and 3 tablets pm. 1.5 g + 1.5 g= 3g👍 also i was on a Grand Jury for 2 months and my 22 year old cat died and work stress. So i tried to really control my emotional reactions and stress levels. That helped too.
None of this helped me. I still have the pain as well as the rash, 10 weeks later.

My friend got shingles after his second venom shot! I'm in my 60's and I've only known one person prior to my shingly friend to have them... and his breakout was caused by stress after his small child accidently drowned. Our government, health authorities, GPs et al.. never talked about shingles in my lifetime. People knew about them, but they were extremely uncommon. Around the same time as my friend had his shingle outbreak, there suddenly began appearing large billboards in our shopping centres warning about shingles! Then came the adverts on TV and other media. Just saying.

Everyone needs to limit a vaccine to only one vaccine for a specific disease at one time not multiple vaccines in one shot. Limit the vaccines by time a month for each vaccine!

I have shingles at the moment and it is(apart from childbirth) the worst pain I have experienced. I have so much sympathy with older people who get this . I am surprised at how many people have shingles at the moment. Very strange
I have it right not too, I'm 66. the 4th to 7th days were the worst. Right now, it feels like bad sunburn. I am getting a sharp pain in my right chest that actually makes it hurt to breath. Comes on strong in the evenings.

I’m 41 and healthy, about 2.5 wks after my third booster shot I got shingles. And I’ve never had an outbreak before. Even my dermatologist told me she’s seen quite an increase of shingle patients after the round of vaccine.. fml 🤦♀️

And yet, you still see people living in fear of a virus that has a 98% survival rate and where masks everywhere. I got shingles a couple weeks ago due to having the most stressful year of my life. My body just broke down I think. I did start an antiviral medication about a week after I realized it was shingles. I also started Dr. Berg’s complete protocol that he talks about here. One week later it’s virtually gone and I have almost no pain!!!! I've had residual pain from a very bad case of the shingles in May of 2019.. Thank you Dr Berg for providing me with a way to relieve the pain. I say this tearfully in thanks because it's the first time I am experiencing less pain in over 2 years. Tears of gratitude.
Have you tried CBD oil? (Full spectrum) this may really help with nerve pain. Also sulforaphane is shown to have neurogenesis effects (nerve repair). I hope your postherpetic neuralgia has gone now though.
Vitamin B complex is brilliant for nerve tingles and pain. I'm speaking from experience. I took it for 6 months after my shingles.
My mom was stressed, not sleeping well and wasn’t eating right. She not only got shingles, but 5 years later she still has nerve pain and damage. Keeping our immune system is the best way to ward off disease.

I'm 60. So I've been "up there" in age for 20+ years. Not one doctor, nurse, commercial or friend told me about the urgent need for a shingles "vaccination" in all that time. Never once mentioned that I was in grave danger of getting this painful affliction. No one discussed shingles. Suddenly the world is abuzz with shilling for shingles. By suddenly, I mean post 2021. @@bluelava4282 Yes, shingles is an outbreak from an earlier case of chickenpox. Chickenpox is caused by the virus varicella. After chickenpox which mostly people had as children, the virus lays dormant in the nervous system and later in life can become reactivated as the painful outbreak known as "shingles", the medical term is herpes zoster. Interestingly, I had chickenpox for the first time at age 53 and my PCP at that time said, "well at least now you have immunity". I'm not sure if he meant I'd have a longer period of immunity against shingles or what. He has now since retired so I cannot ask him and my new PCP (30 years old) told me I should have the shingles vaccine but so far I have not agreed to this. The side effects and reported efficacy are concerning.

Shingles saved my life. I was under extreme stress as my mother was passing away and came down with shingles. I waited for a few days to go to urgent care as it wasn't too bothersome, but I started to feel the discomfort in front of both underarms. Urgent care nurse practitioner confirmed shingles then did an overall check. He found lung cancer, which was stage 3b at the time. I never smoked, had no symptoms. I'm so grateful for both the shingles and the nurse practitioner

@@ayishaclark1952 I was 61 when the lung cancer was discovered. I'm 68 now. It's stage IV-B, managed by a spiffy new med that didn't exist 6-7 years ago. Super expensive, so I'm fortunate to be able to keep my day job (which has insurance). It's been a ride...

Its bc when you're a baby, the pediatrician gives you the chicken pox vaccine. That vaccine only lasts up to 5 years.
Bc they gave you this vaccine instead of allowing you to get chicken pox and build a natural immunity, we now have adults getting shingles.
Had you never had the chicken pox vaccine, you would have built immunity to fight shingles.

Thank you for all your helpful advise. Last year during the lockdowns I knew that I had a few of the comorbidities and needed to take charge of my health. I started to diet to not a lot of success then my wife and I found you and healthy keto and things took off. We started last June and I am down 110lbs and my wife is down close to 70. She is off her BP meds and mine has been cut in half and I hoping in September removed permanently. My A1C went from 6.7 to 5.1. I know I have a long way to go, but you Keto and IF has helped me greatly. Now we watch for all different problems that we might be able to recommend your videos to others.

Came down with the " virus " a few days after I was at a family July 4th, where four of six members were vaccinated. I think I picked it up from shedding. Two weeks later, came down with shingles.
My husband had the shot not me but from the shedding I’m on my 3rd outbreak of shingles!! It is very very real. And I also have inflammation in my lungs.

@@candacemenard4229 I don't remember the name of the virus, but it is one of the viruses we all get when we are young, the immune system fights it off as we are healthy, but then when we are old or the immune system is weakened, the virus triumphs.
First shingles outbreak I was 24. Stressed. I've had it many times in life w 3x in one yr alone. I have lupus as well. When I incorporated lysine four yrs ago along w the others you mentioned, I've not had an outbreak. Thanks Dr B.! You help a lot of people.

My 22 yr old Daughter got shingles after the vaccine, which happened to 2 other girls she knew, which is rare in young people. The public nurse I talked to said they were seeing an increase in shingles case after vaccination. It can reactivate any herpes family virus (or more accurately temporarily disable your immune system to it), whch can cause gullian barre, bells palsy, hearing and vision loss (usually on the infected side)

I got shingles a year ago, on my face. It was extremely painful. I went into homeopathic remedies and recovered within a month. A couple of weeks ago, I had strange sensation on my face and around my eye. I now have trigeminal neuralgia. I started on Ly Lysine,vitC and homeopathic remedies.

You could try apple cider vinegar, undiluted on the lesions. That helped me so much more than the messy cream. Dab on with a cotton ball as many times a day as you want. Keep it out of you eyes. Use Bragg brand with the mother. It's organic.
The acv treatment was for shingles. I dont know about the other.

I tried to apply aloevera to my shingles couple times a day and the next day it's gone! my shingles usually lasted a week but luckily I found this remedy
Take benfotiamine and stabilized R- Alpha- lipoic acid daily to treat nerve damage and regain healthy nerves.

I got a shingles vaccination a few years ago to be on the safe side ! No shingles as yet ! Happy to say ! 😄
I can tell you Dr Berg, the information you’ve given me about what’s in our food is really helping me to what I’m eating and keeping me from being tempted and going off diet.
I’ve lost 28lbs since the beginning of the year and 81 from my highest weight.

About 10 years ago, I was working 5 twelve hour shifts a week. I was also commuting 1.5 hours each way, & only sleeping about 4 hours a night. Within a few weeks of doing this, I got shingles.
My husband is suffering from shingles at the moment. It started within 48 hours of getting theCOVID vaccine.
It’s coming out that this is a possible side effect, of the virus vaccine,

That's because he already had the virus living in his body (dormant) and getting the Covid vaccine suppresses your immune system. That activated it fronts dormant state. Shingles is not a side effect of Covid because you already have the virus

Four years ago (41 yrs old) I updated my vaccines and developed shingles 2 weeks later. Then after another month caught a horrible cold/cough that lasted the whole summer. The rest of my family perfectly healthy. Since then no vaccines including covid or flu shot, just healthy diet and exercise, feel great and am never sick despite kids bringing home typical colds/flu. Done with vaccines.
I haven't had shingles in over 10 years. Back then, I had a stressful job dealing with difficult people. Since I left the job, my shingles went away completely. I believe it's because of all that stress. There is no other explanation that I can think of.
Shingles broke out in my body because of stress. Stress is the worst thing anyone could have.
I had a A1C of 11.8 and a kidney rating of 57. I went on a intermittent fasting and green leafy vegi diet. And worked up to one meal a day.Cut out all carbs,grains and sugar.(It's amazing how addictive sugar is) I went from 11.8 A1C to 7, Kidney function went up to 74 and I lost 15 pounds. Blood pressure meds got adjusted down, I don't get up to pee every other hour and no acid reflux .(I now sleep all night long, That's Huge) and it all happened in 3 months. I have been doing one meal a day for a year now and I feel great. People can't believe how much weight I have lost and I still sleep all night long. I can now have that slice of bread if I want and have a desert if I feel like it. But fruit is still my sweet tooth go to food. Thanks Doctor Berg

At 24yo I got shingles after receiving the H1N1 vaccine. Holy hell it was painful.
I've had it twice, yes it's so painful and soooo itchy. I even scratched in my sleep, should have worn gloves while asleep!
I hope you don't get it again, it is awful that's for sure.

I got shingles 13 years ago when I was under extreme stress. That's what triggered my shingles.
At that time, I didn't know about you, so I went to my GP. She prescribed some medication, and my shingles disappeared.
I overcame it very well and didn't have any permanent side effects from it.
Here in Australia on TV, "shingles fear" is pushed into our faces every day, "get shingles vaccine so you don't get shingles."
I've been doing intermittent fasting and keto and feel very good.
My educated decision since watching your videos is "NO" to Covid-19, shingles vaccine, or any other vaccine.
I've chosen a healthy lifestyle, real food with some supplements, that's my defence against shingles.
Just some feedback Awareness info. I had Shingles about 1&1/2 Years ago. I used Lavender Essential Oil. It worked at isolating it, DRYING it up and helping me heal. It tried to come back. I repeated the Process, along with taking Benadryl, and it was Completely eliminated the 2nd time and much faster.
I also got a light case after vaccination. I even had my first shingles shot under my belt when I got it!

I’ve had shingles 6 times in my life, so I know it wasn’t a rash. Light cases aren’t particularly painful. They are very similar to a rash. They usually go from an itching stage to a sore stage. Sometimes the skin gets real sore and the shingles don’t even break out on the skin where it’s real sore. I’ve been real lucky and only have had light cases of this stuff. I’ve gotten my second shingles shot now and hopefully I’m good. The shots made me a lot sicker than the COVID shot did. COVID shots were a breeze. Shingles shot put me down. But I don’t want to keep getting that stuff because shingles can get real nasty!
The root cause of shingles is "waiting for the other shoe to drop". Fear and tension. Good affirmation to say daily: "I am relaxed and peaceful because I trust the process of life. All is well in my world".
That’s a whopper in everyone’s life except for the ones doing this crap to us. I can’t lie to myself like that.
My son back in 2003 ish 🏴was awarded a golf scholarship to USA 🇺🇸 McLennan College Waco Texas…he was 17 years old…a few weeks before he was due to travel he developed shingles…he was a super fit teenager who was never sick so my opinion leans towards stress…all turned out ok…love to all 😘
# 3!!! A week prior to having Shingles I was at the dentist and stopped the assistant from taking X-rays because she didn’t put the shield over me. She apologized and provided the shield which I made sure had the thyroid guard but it may have been too late. A few days later I felt sick to my stomach followed by excruciating lower right back and abdominal pain. Please always insist on the radiation shield!
Both my parents had shingles when they were sick with cancer. I had shingles when i was stressed.
Same...I got chicken pox as a kid and got shingles in my late 20s. This actually happened when I was super stressed at work as well as personal life.

I got it in 2006. Have post herpectic neuralgia from it still. It's the worst! But took your advice and it's improved
Had it in my eye and had spot on optical nerve! Was crazy! Almost died a couple times. Took 8 months to get over. Still have 20/20 vision.

I got shingles 4 times between sept and dec last year. I was going through a severe emotional time.

Take a zinc supplement every day. It helped me with covid and even with sinus and allergies. I have chronic ear infections and I haven't had one in a year since taking zinc.
Hope you are better. I may I suggest to you to find a functional medicine doctor. It helped me so much. They find the root cause and treat it not just the symptoms
As someone who has had shingles multiple times, my advice is this: If you think, but aren't sure, that you have Shingles...get to a doctor, urgent care, etc. immediately! Waiting will only severely increase your pain. Pick your meds up right after diagnosis and get them started right away!
If you are getting it over and over you need to do some work on your immune system, perhaps on your life situation.
Very good advice. My auntie had shingles very late in life. She had some pain and lumpiness on the left side of her face. I was driving her back from a blood test at the blood test clinic. I suggested we stop by her doctor's surgery so we did. She saw a nurse then her (excellent) doctor and the diagnosis was shingles. She got meds to take immediately, which stopped the spread but she still had a kind of scarring around her eye, even something on the eyelid of her better seeing eye, which was highly aggravating.
I got shinhgles at the age of 23, right after getting a ton of vaccines in order to travel oversees.

I used to be an audio and computer projection technician for huge conventions and conferences. During busy seasons (3 months) of back to back to back convention and conference shows, we had to build, operate, and dismantle and move on to the next one the next day, we were overworked, exhausted with very little sleep some days 3 hours, and eating crappy fast food. It was always during busy season technicians would start getting sick with the flu and one guy would get the shingles. I used to get the flu every year. I don't do that work anymore and I now eat properly, 8 hours sleep a night, and stress levels down to almost nothing.....I haven't had the flu since.
I successfully treated my shingles with Vit. C, D, E & zinc, the recommended daily dose three times per day, AND echinacea and goldenseal tincture 2x per day for one week. I took my first round of remedy before I went to bed and the blisters were obviously receding by the next morning. This combination worked quickly and extremely effectively for me.
I treated mine with famciclovir as prescribed by my doctor. Improvement showing within 12 hours, resolved in a week. One tablet only

Depends how early one starts medication during onset of blisters, can relieve some pain

DR I just went through my first case of shingles, I have been on primarily keto diet with intermittent fasting for 2 years with greatly improved health, so my shingles showed up and I immediately used all the steps you mentioned, at day 4 the rash showed up it didn't blister, at day 10 the rash is gone and 3 days later the pain is all but gone, I hardly believe I got away with such a mild case, thanks for your work
