These people are mad a single show got cancelled. Meanwhile real fans witnessed the entire eu get erased.
The EU was never canon little bro. Get the fuck over it. Lucas’ plan for his own sequels would’ve “erased” that shit too. Acolyte is garbage but don’t act like the EU was a legitimate timeline. It’s multiverse shit at best
Bro, you just used Thor’s hammer to hit that last nail!!!
Fr the real fans have been struggling for so long 😭
Don't remind me I won't get the continued story of Starkiller... Gods I hate that shit to this day.
@RazielTheUnborn
DUDE that is literally all I want!!
The Acolyte was a disgrace to everything Star Wars stands for.
The truth!!
At this point what Star wars stood for is so long gone. When you take into the merch sales, Disney park ties ins, its been essentially pimped to death to the point its unrecognizable.
Also a disgrace to life in general. The morality of that show was something that could only come from the mind of someone who worked for and probably covered up for a rapist
Hard to argue against this I mean the show literally ended with Osha turning to the dark side as if that was a happy ending.
I did an acolyte this morning. It still smells.
When The Holiday Special is more fondly remembered than your multimillion dollar show is, you know you done f*cked up big.
*happy lumpy noises*
Life Day, this is your Life Day! 😂😂
I mean, it's so bad it's good (Holiday special). So yeah, i like it for that. Watching it a bit drunk with the friends is a blessing
Lmao yes it is memed to hell to not watch it by how bad it is but it still is loved for the memes and at least being watched to LAUGH at how bad it is but acolyte?? We hate it key word difference hate and bad
@@GeekezfI agree. I was laughing while watching the holiday special. I was not laughing during the acolyte.
“Twice the pride, double the fall”
The Dooku quote was gold 😂
So true
How about the truth that Skeleton Crew also sucked and nobody watched. And that Dave Filoni and Favreau suck too.
Crew wasn't sucked, but nobody watch it, unfortunately.
@@lexiusugrymius9392 Yeah I thought Skeleton Crew was good! It just got the “Last Jedi” effect, same as Solo, unfortunately. People were so sick of Disney Star Wars because of the acolyte that many didn’t even give it a chance
The acolyte fans LOST IT?!? Oh no! What are we going to do? If those 13 people get together that could be a minor inconvenience!
The “acolyte fans” are usually the people that don’t like the originals and prequels
Yeahhhh or they’re part of the woke fan base. Like it’s crazy the lack of self awareness they have to act and claim like the show was successful and they defend it like their life depends on it as if people are directly attacking them.
They don’t like America either and are miserable hermits. Just like Mark Hamill.
They don’t like America or themselves either.
The ones that made fun of the real fans 20 years ago
haha yeah true and their usually disney execs that actually thought this show was gonna do good 😂
The moment they completely lost me was the episode where the team of Jedi were searching for a vergence in the Force, taking samples, and using what was essentially a Force metal detector to locate it. That scene made it painfully clear that the writers and producers had little to no understanding of the Force or how it works, and that lack of comprehension was evident throughout the entire production.
Literally just throw that 1 line, "That's not how the Force works!" right back at them. Their own idiocy writes itself, at this point!
The irony is that this shitty continuation of star wars is where the expression "that's not how the force works" originated. Even more ironic is that the man who didnt believe in the force said it. But i mean that's what happens when you get writers who dont know anything, and dont care about the material
honestly i knew it was fucked with "yaaaaaaaaas, yaaaaaaaaaaaaas" but i still gave it a chance...regret doing that tbh
The line that got me was "mae was my apprentice, that was her name, mae"
They lost me when Boba Fett didn't kill all the Tusken Raiders that captured him. Haven't watched anything since
19:52 no no no. Disney isn't pitting Star Wars fan against each other. They're pitting Star Wars fans against a "modern audience". The people who undoubtedly used to bully people for liking things like Star Wars. I have yet to meet another genuine Star Wars fan that has enjoyed modern Disney Star Wars, aside from Rogue One and The Mandelorian.
It's fans vs tourists
rebels
clone wars (last season)
mandalorian is a toss up
rogue one and the siege of mandalore are peak
Have been a fan for years. Started out as a prequel fan and in my opinion star wars never got better. I loved the end of clone wars and I was obsessed with Bad Batch. I think that show got way too much flak. Mando was great till season 3. Andor was very enjoyable and skeleton crew was pretty fun too. Acolyte, obi wan and ahsoka hurt my soul on unspeakable levels.
@ fr and it’s all the sequels fault. everything has to abide by what the sequels did. that’s why nothing will ever be good. they have to retcon it. or just do old republic
Only Disney Star Wars projects I've ever liked are rebels, rogue one, and some of the Lego stuff.
I will never forgive them for bringing Plagueis into this mess
In the summer of 1977, at the age of 10, I went to see Star Wars for my first time... that year, I would see that movie another 8 times.
I wore Star Wars tee-shirts, had (and still have) all of my Kenner action figures, have EVERY Star Wars comic book (Marvel, Dark Horse and even the BIG version comic books), I even carried a Star Wars lunchbox (Tatooine version) with a little yellow thermos, which I still have to this day... although still slightly dented in the back by a bully, as there were many, who thought and cared very little for 'Star Wars Fans' in the 70's...
I had ALWAYS BEEN a Star Wars fan...
...until the Acolyte.
That was the end of my soldiering on for Star Wars, the straw that broke the Bantha's back... I will ALWAYS love the original trilogies, I even RESPECT the Prequels and Mando Seasons 1&2... the rest, I watched them... even the god awful movies of Rey... but the Acolyte, I will NEVER return to Disney, nor Disney Star Wars or to anything that Disney ever produces... I am done, I won't ever return.
I am apparently not the Fan they want... which is fine by me, they aren't a production house that I want.
I'm surprised Luke dying from being tired, Leia Jesus posing, and Han being killed in the most dumb way that made you not even care that he just died would have switched you off before the acolyte even came out lol
when you bleed a Kyber crystal because you had a temper tantrum ***Turns off TV, buys bleach***
Bleeding kyber crystals is dumb anyway, lol. Retroactively added garbage
@idiot_city5444 I think it's cool but it should be really hard to do and only used by the most evil sith like my brother
Lightsabers arent mood rings
I chose to wait a few days so I could save some money and now I don't need to buy the bleach
I like the concept...i think the Acolyte did it in a terrible rediculous and pathetic way...exactly as you said, it was bled by having a temper tantrum. Just....no. Very stupid. Acolyte needs to be removed from canon.
"corporate slop" is the perfect description of the vast majority of Disney Star Wars.
I'm glad they're remaking episodes 1-6 with a more inclusive and diverse cast.
Making Anakin a trans POC is what Star Wars needs.
True, and as saddest part it, the franchise could very easily be a money printer, but instead Disney did everything possible to destroy the franchise
They really bastardized SW
The minority is andor, solo and rogue one, oh and clone wars and bad batch
Not even corporate its full on libtard ideology. Corporate slop would actually try to make money lol These folks wanna blow money to rub it in our face...
most of the "acolyte" fans were never really fans of actual 1-6 star wars . Tourists and activists

Thissss!!!!
they probably adored season 3 mando with jack black and lizzo🤣🤣
To be fair I wasn't really a fan of 1-3! lol 4-6 forever.

When the Prequel TRAILERS came out they were only shown at certain movies. I went with friends to see a movie we weren't really interested in JUST TO SEE THE TRAILERS. Now I can't be paid to sit through a SW show.
It took hours for my friend to download the trailer.
Ah, the days before UA-cam.
I went to see Space Jam for the Special Edition Trailer and Monster Inc. for the Episode 2 teaser trailer.
That is fucking crazy❤❤❤
I worked in a theater at the time. As soon as that trailer came in, we strung it up on its own and called the owner in. We closed one of the smaller theaters for a show and watched the trailer for nearly an hour.
Literally - string up the projector, start the trailer, run down to the theater, watch the trailer, sit there stunned for a bit, run back to the booth, repeat.
We ran Phantom for 48 hours straight in two separate theaters when it opened and sold out every dang show. We had customers there who watched every showing for 24 hours straight.
Yeah.
I still remember my sister surprising me with episode 3 tickets on my birthday, was a broke college student and couldn’t afford a ticket at the time… best birthday gift from my young adult life

I’d love to see a detailed production budget breakdown for The Acolyte because there is seemingly no reason it cost over $200 million dollars to make. Where did the money go to? Not the script, for sure.
Or the effects. That crap looked so cheap.
Money laundering scheme for sure
It’s possible the pandemic caused them issues that were unforeseen or just the Four year period from being announced in 2020 - it wouldn’t be any better if it was only 10 million - it was just a bad show…like the bad shows that came before it and the ones that come in the future -
I was the little brother at the Phantom Menace release, but my brothers friend was in full Jedi robes, duel sabers, and started directing traffic with em. It was hilarious and everyone was cooperating
The Acolyte was simply not very good. The story wasn’t very good and the acting was boring. That’s it. No agenda no politics behind that opinion. They need to get over themselves and do better on their next endeavor.
Yeah I agree I mean they had stone temples burning down and people surviving crash landing from space
It was the very worst production I have ever seen in my life, and I'm a 51-year-old nerd who's seen just about everything. It was truly the worst.

The constant lesbian inferences as well. I'll happily make it political.
I walked out of the theater at Leia Poppins and swore off everything Disney for life when they attacked the audience as racist, sexist, bigots for not swallowing their terrible writing, bad storytelling, and blatant character assassinations of beloved heroes and I'm happy to say all these years later Nothing Of Value Was Lost.
Spot on
I wasn’t prepared for Leia Poppins😂🤣🤣😭😭
Mandalorian first 2 seasons and Clone Wars and Andor and parts of Ashoka and Rise of Skywalker are pretty good and by different, more caring filmmakers than TLJ (who have mostly been banished)
Maybe nuance is more important than an ideological approach to life
And then everyone clapped
Theory, we're about the same age and I recall when I grew up that if you admitted you were a Star Wars fan you would get beaten up because you were a nerd. You had to have conviction to be a Star Wars fan back then. I don't think people realize how true it is in saying that we bled for this fandom.
They used to bully us for it, Now they're trying to force their way into the fandom.
I remember being picked on for star wars as a child, now im picked on for not liking disneys star wars. Theres no winning!
@@nasherowdey2618 haha, this is so true. Picked on For liking the original Starwars trilogy, Picked on for liking the prequals, picked on for not liking Disney Starwars. Worse told we're not real starwars fans, because they took something we loved and destroyed it.
@nasherowdey2618 even my kids have said the sequel movies and the Acolyte were garbage.
Our favourite Disney era stuff was Andor and Rogue One and pretty much everything else we found to be meh at best.
I'm so disappointed that Star Wars has hit this low point. I remember how excited I was to see TFA and TLJ in theaters (TFA at least left some interesting plot threads that gave hope for the next movie). I forced myself to watch TRS just so I could say I made it through the trilogy. I couldn't even make it through the start of the second episode of The Acolyte.
I'm sorry I'm starting to ramble. It's my Disney Star Wars trauma coming out. I hope KK leaves and someone can come in and save the franchise.
It was the same for anime too. Before everything got used for dei and cash cows, the masses weren’t attracted to these “nerd” shows. But when it became popular the og fan base who know the true art and form (even with its lesser flaws) knew that the current state of our nerdom has been changed to please a modern audience. It was inclusive to the those who enjoyed it so there wasn’t much to change or observe when the core was small and lacked big impact. Once money gets involved it’s pretty much over for anything that was once genuine art.
After episode 3 of The Acolyte, I cancelled my subscription with Disney +. I have no regrets. I am about to do the same with Paramount after the last Star Trek movie: section 31. I just can't take it anymore.
I remember camping out the night before, or maybe it was just really early in the morning, to see the Revenge of the Sith premiere with my dad. I was dressed as Jango Fett with those toy blasters, and my dad was in costume dressed as Darth Vader! I remember all of us kids, who had NEVER MET BEFORE, bonded over blaster fights, lightsaber duels, and reenacting our favorite scenes while running out the clock. Each minute that went by made us all so euphoric and excited. I remember everyone yelling with excitement once the doors finally opened. Just thinking about it still gives me a dopamine rush!
Thanks for such a real take on things Theory! P.S. Have you had time to play a game called Lethal Company?
They now feel the pain we have felt since the Sequels. Welcome to the club.
the sequels gave me pain
They gave me a level of disdain I didn't think was possible for me to feel
The Acolyte suffered the fate of a failed Sith-mercilessly struck down and forgotten. 😂🔥
It’s incredible that it’s gone this way. No offense to Lucas but Star Wars isn’t that complicated. It’s about people choosing the light side or the dark side, and how friends and family can influence us on the way. The themes weren’t complicated, with all the resources behind Disney it should have been easy to make good movies and shows.
I would bet more than half of the people in these comments could make a Star Wars movie or show that is better, more satisfying, more interesting, and more consistent with Lucas themes than the Last Jedi or the Acolyte, because we know what Star Wars is supposed to be at its core. As a matter of fact I wrote a short story for my son set in the Star Wars universe that I would gladly put up against most of Disney Star Wars. It was about a Padawan (my son) who escaped order 66, and his father (me) trying to balance hiding from the Empire, but also trying to do good in the universe when they can. I love Star Wars, and I love my son, so I wrote the story with love, whereas most of Disney Star Wars seems to be them just trying to crank out content to make money.
@@ErikDayne Lucas had nothing to do with this crap

The silence would be earth shattering.😂
Would then be an instant haymaker from the force itself 😭
Just respond and tell them your favorite star wars movie is either the holiday special or star wars carivan of courage both are still better than the acolyte
The thing that hits the most is the fact that we lost 35 years of content in the SWEU for a flawed and disrespectful take on our favorite fictional universe.
When I watched the first episode of "She Hulk" my eyes were cursed, not blessed.
I watched the Acolyte once. That was one, two, many times.
That spelling really set me off but then I realized what you did. Bravo.
Lesson learned right? When you feel the crunch of particle board and taste the glue, you should just go ahead and stop eating that. I felt that particle board in the premiere episodes. The glue taste was sharp and disgusting in the first 3 minutes of episode 3. I stopped ingesting that rotten show right then and there.
Genius level troll sir. Well done.
In better news: Jake Lloyd has completed his most recent bout of therapy for his mental health and is doing better than ever. Has been playing Star Wars games as of recently and seems really positive and happy.

There are no fans of the Acolyte. There are only virtue signalers who heard the trigger words and saw the signs from Leslie and Amandla. And just like brainwashed servants or drone like insects, they must react, love, and defend. No original thoughts, no passion, and no criticism. Only surface level "praise". Real fans who actually love something will love it when it does well and constructively criticize it when it doesn't. Why? Because they want to see it continue with quality and consistency.
Couldn't have said it better myself.
The acolyte was the best show ever bro wdym? 😂
@Arthur-cb3bs Thanks
@ZifyIsBadAtVideoGames Tell me you don't understand good writing, a consistent plot line, and solid dialog without telling me you don't understand those things. Hope you are being satire.
Well that’s a flat out lie. My favorite film is return of the Jedi, my friend is an OG 1977 fan & prefers the stormtrooper boba fett backstory & yet we both liked the acolyte.
I'm a life long fan.. I was 11 years old sitting in a theatre in 1977 having my little mind re-arranged for life. This is only important because from my perspective this 'star wars' trash represents a small percentage of the last fifty years. When Lucas sold it to Disney (I knew exactly what Disney was) I had a funeral. I didn't even go to see Disney episode 7. Star Wars is dead.. it died years ago. What we see today is a shapeshifter from the depth of hell.
“Acolyte fans”…all six of them
Star wars died when Disney said the legends story's were not canon
Well, in the end it's a good thing they didn't continue in legends and ruined only their own timeline
Agreed. I stand by the fact that the Thrawn trilogy should’ve been adapted into episodes 7,8, and 9 instead of what we got.
Theory's editor has gotten progressively more meme happy lately, and I'm not mad about it.
He has fully embraced the meme side of the Force.
One thing that I have learned over the years, if people keep telling you over and over again that something was successful, it's just because they want it to be successful, doesn't matter if it's true or not.
The same exact bullies who used to bully us for liking Star Wars are now the exact same people, the exact same, who bully us when we don’t like the Star Wars we make.
An average of a million views per episode that costed almost $30 mil per episode and well over $250 overall budget with marketing for the series is wild.
Listen I’m 53 and I truly grew up on Star Wars. if it wasn’t for me making my parents buy me figures and merchandise, watching the movies over and over, going to sleep listening to the Walkman cassette version, it wouldn’t be around today. It was me and every man around my age. This Disney Star Wars isn’t worth my time yet I still watch because of the fan I am.
So an Old School turned Brand Fan. Cool. If we were friends I'd keep all SW talks to only the originals so we could remain friends. As a friend, would you be able to agree to that?

You should make a T-shirt available for Acolyte fans with "I love The Acolyte" on the front and "A Canceled Series" on the back.
Savage! I like it!

Reality is that the IP is just not worth much anymore.
Even if they have a show which is good, most fans walked off... because too many bad shows. Like The Acolyte.
To many "Who cares about Lore?" moments for the hardcore fans. And that New Audience hasn't shown up.
This is reality.
Doctor Who fans are experiencing the same problem. The hardcore fans like me who grew up with the reruns of the original are walking away in droves.
They don't understand that we want good writing and characters. I don't think they ever will. And what makes me very angry aside from hurting the lore and making fun of the fans, they claim to be the ones who are all about equality and diversity when in actuality they are the real hypocrites, racists and sexists. They just don't wanna accept it.
Disney should be more concerned that viewers are not watching their original content, than trying to gaslight their tiny audience that it's popular.
I went back to watch some of Theory's older videos, and I think the truth needs to be told...
Those videos are so damn good, I just want to binge everything now. If you just watch some of his theory videos of old, you will understand why this channel is so huge.
He is a deep starwars fan, he understands the lore, this is legit. Not a money-grab channel like others. He DEEPLY cares about star wars.
I was a fan before, but I dare say, I love is old videos even more than the new ones. Trust me. If you love star wars, you need to watch the older videos. He has no idea who I am, I'm saying this as a 40+ year old that grew up with star wars.
The fact that the only way views go up is if there are established prequel/original characters show up is SURELY telling
If there are 4,380 hours in 6 months = average of 1,826 views per hour, this UA-cam video with 17,754 views published 1 hour ago has x9.7 more views per hour than the Acolyte does

Yeah sad how tarnished the star wars name is right now, we never knew how good we had it back in the early 2000s getting tartovsky and then clone wars.
Noticed how they went with amount of minutes to brag about how many watched the show. Not even hours. Minutes. Because they damn well know that it'd only take a minute for normal people to realize that it's garbage. I also did the calculations as to how many people that would equate to, the 2 billion minutes thing. If we give them the BIGGEST benefit of the doubt and say every single person watched every minute, that's 33,333,333 repeating hours with a 5.5 hour run time, making it about only 6 million people watching the entire show. That's not just bad, that's abysmal. I know of meme videos that get more views.

They subverted my expectations about Star Wars so successfully that I've subverted their expectations that I'll ever watch one of their shows again.
Bruh imagine if Obi Wan was a good show, they had so many viewers in the beginning, could have broken some records.
And if the Acolyte haters are all just bigots and racists, that would mean that basicially everybody is, because nobody watches this show anyways

Skeleton Crew might have got lower numbers, which is a shame because it was actually pretty good.

@BALLCAPSports it will be like a slow cooker and get love . The acting of those kids was better than Amanda and those child actors in the acolyte
Goddamn Disney for burning down any hype I had for new projects, despite the fact that they're good, I can hardly bring myself to watch them not only because of the many responsibilities in life but also because for every good thing they do, they then proceed to make something worse to stain the legacy of George Lucas.

It seems like the main thing you can say against it was that it wasn’t popular, which says nothing specifically about merit of the show itself. Just because a bunch of whiny man-babies who get their opinions from UA-camrs decided to not watch this show for no reason, doesn’t mean the show was bad. The arguments you have boils down to basically useless nitpicking and hive mind mentality.
The Clone Wars and their follow-up shows are peak SW. My kids used to come over and we'd order food and have watch parties. Vader: "Revenge is not the Jedi way." Ashoka: "I am no Jedi." We need a full Vader show.
Correction: They were never even a fan of "the acolyte" they were/are fans of the woke far left messaging attached to it. When the show was being criticized, they took it not as an attack on the show but on the message attached.

I 100% agree with you about them shining the spotlight on the side characters. And it's always trash side characters. They can't even make anyone cool. Cob Vanth? Lame. Fennec Shand? Lame. Etc. Etc.
One of the greatest failures was the Ahsoka show, which I had been stoked for. All of it was focused on the dumb Rebels characters (which I hate). How can a show be called Ahsoka, and she essentially be a side character in her own show?
There is nothing quite like a Star Wars premier. I was fortunate enough to attend the 8 o’clock showing, opening night, of The Empire Strikes Back in San Jose, California. It was freaking magical!
Going to see the Phantom Menace on opening night was an experience on par with the first Avengers movie, in my opinion. Not just a movie but an event.
That’s amazing!!!! Too bad you can’t package that feeling! As young genxers, we were too young to go to any opening night of original 3 😩 but the love & mania grew once we were introduced to Star Wars. Andor hands down had the best writing of any of the SW Disney shows. Was very interesting to see the other side of the SW universe when no jedi or Mandalorians are involved.
Absolutely agree, I remember when Andor was announced and I was annoyed because I thought of everything Lucasfilm could make, why make a series about Andor. HOWEVER, I was blown away at how good it was, the writing was fantastic, the acting was great, all scenes with Luthen were some of the best Star Wars I’ve seen and it also looked fantastic. EASILY the best Star Wars content Disney has put out in my opinion.
It was well written but I found it boring af
Also agree. Solid fucking show. Wish they would continue it
@@codyblackmon2454 Thats your attention span issue
@codyblackmon2454 Hard agree, gets glazed online though.
I was a senior in high school when the Phantom Menace hit theaters and I remember seeing it opening weekend with my friends it was a great experience. I want to capture that feeling again with a Star Wars movie.
Literally had a guy argue about how Rey is a brilliant character and embodies everything Starwars should be, how the acolyte was incredibly written and makes Starwars so much better, how Luke was a Mary Sue too and Starwars fans are bigoted incels and how Theory can go f himself because he uses his platform to hate on Disney star wars.
There was no point arguing with him. The man said he wants an Old Republic movie starring Bri Larsen as REVAN.
😐
that sounds like a bot if im being real
Those people are crazy man what a weird and twisted interpretation of Star Wars.
I had an Acolyte fan tell me Ki-Adi Mundi being born in the wrong time and hiding information was "great character development to show just how dogmatic the jedi really were" 😂😂😂
Lives in my head rent free til this day. They say some of the most absurd shit man.
Much love to Theory and the Community.

They’re so mad their one show got cancelled, when having it air was the biggest destructive entry to the entire franchise
The edited clips are pure gold!! Keep fighting for us theory!!
16:11 andor is what everything Star Wars should have been. It’s what mando s1 and 2 were, and it’s what all the prequels and ot were
I always learned in business school to always market the 13% of the population because half of that will resonate with it and a half of that will watch it so rather than appeal to 87% of a possible audience I wanna make sure I lose money on this.
The sad part about all of this is how there is so much info in front of everybody to see, and some peeps are continuously in denial about The Acolyte and what happened with it… A lot of peeps, especially other content creators we all know, need to stop the immaturity about everything and just come to terms with how bad everything turned out. You can’t continue to say things just to look good to Lucasfilm PR and Influencer managers when everyone in the audience can see what is right in front of them… At some point, something has to give… Even the most stubborn media critics and personalities in entertainment have been open about how bad this show was, and how much it damaged the Star Wars brand… The bottom line, Lucasfilm and ultimately Disney need to take steps to ensure that something like The Acolyte never happens again. 💯🤷♂️
Homie, people believe in ghosts and will want you to stop breathing if you debunk the "evidence" they idolise. People are stupid. They willfully exist in a fantasy.
I’m fine with people liking bad shows the problem is they won’t admit it’s bad. They act like it’s perfect which is actually crazy to me. Barely anything to defend in this show. 😂 even shows I love I’m able to admit their shortcomings or stuff that doesn’t make sense
as soon as I heard " THE POWER OF MANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I knew we were screwed.
Clearly, the Acolyte fans are not even Star Wars fans. They only like shipping and such.
Last time I was this early, the Death Star was the scariest thing the Empire has built.
the last time I was this early Alderaan was still a planet
@@jayg1438 the last time I was this early, there were jedi walking around
I had such high hopes for the Kenobi show...only to get heavily dissapointed and abandon it after just 2 episodes. I was upset after hearing about the original plans for the show...Of course they'd switch Luke (which would have made WAY more sense) for Leia, Disney hates him with a passion.
Disney hates men. Straights and Yts.
If it weren't for the arrow on that thumbnail I don't think I would have noticed that detail.
Dude thank you for being the voice that so many of us Star Wars fans don’t have the opportunity to have for whatever reason. You speak nothing but truth.
I remember the day i saw the phantom menace. That day I was in 6th grade behind called to the office my mom called me out for a dentist appointment. Turned out that was just an excuse to take me to see phantom menace. One of the greatest days of my life.
Dude your dash rendar episode had me gleeful because he is my favorite and I did get all of his stuff after the n64 game shadows.
@@joejustjoe5496I had similar experience, except i was 6 and the movie was StarWars(a new hope).
I wax 8 years old in 1977. I used my lunch money every single day for six weeks to go to see Star Wars while my parents were at work. I was that level of fan my entire life until five minutes after the midnight premier of TLJ. I guess Rian Johnson turned me into a racist bigot.
Damn... I wish we just had gotten a good show instead of this garbage.
I wish too, but yeah didn't happen sadly. Pure garbage.
What she said: "Algorithms that reinforce our biases".
What she meant: "Algorithms the reinforce our preference for Star Wars content that doesn't suck."
I've been a fan ever since my parents took my sister and I to see A New Hope when it first came out. They were all into Star Wars back then. My Mother is now a senior I take care of and we watched The Acolyte together she asked me asked me during the horrible ceremony with that chant. She asked me what is this mess you have me watching?? Even she thought that wasn't Star Wars. I remember very clearly what Amandla Stenberg and Leslye Headland in that video interview. Their comments came back to haunt them with a cancelation. Along with bad story telling and dialog.
Its insufferable that Disney seems to have a "no losses" policy. It doesn't matter how BAD a product does, its reported as a "win". The spin doctors over there spin faster than Jake Skywalker in his grave. I would have a lot more respect for them if they could just come out and admit "hey we missed the mark here. Lets have an open round table with fans and see how we can do better".
Agree with 98% of what you said … BUT @StarWarsTheory You do have the power to sway the audience somewhat! Majority of us Star Wars fans believe in you as corny as that may sound. In this fandom at least, your voice does carry some weight my friend.
EDIT: this comment was not meant to be disrespectful in any way!
The Acolyte "fans" were only there for the DEI. They hate the Star Wars portions that get in the way of their grift.
oh they really showed up in force to suppot it lmao
You’re not really that dumb, are you?
Look, i have to say i did enjoy the Acolyte. Was it good, no. Did i get enjoyment out of it? Yeah, i did. It had some good stuff going for it like Qimir, Sol, Jecki, Yord, and had great Lightsaber and martial arts choreography as well as great visual effects. The first 2 episodes and Episode 5 were good episodes. Im a little bit disappointed that it got cancelled cause i dont get to find out more about Qimir, but otherwise, i dont think it being cancelled is a huge loss.
If you think the light saber fights were good watch the fan film Dark Jedi .
Makes sense, I personally didn't find the choreography this epic though. Chris Hayden is impressive, Not them.
The austin powers going "ya baby" 😂😂😂😂 i was dieing . I love them movies
15:08 Yeah like this was crazy BS. They sidelined Mando in his own show and made it the bo Katan show. Then they put jack black and lizzo in Star Wars?! Like what?
Yeah that was 🚮
the show is called “the mandalorian” not “din jarin”
i don’t understand how you guys don’t appreciate the nation building and cultural reclamation of the mandalorian people.
it’s fucking cool, sure u could make the argument that din should’ve been the leader, but bo katan had a claim din did not.
At least it didn’t completely kill a franchise, unlike BioWare with Dragon Age.
Disney killed the franchise gradually. Acolyte was just one of the last straws. The fanbase that has developed apathy is too large for Disney to recoup this generation. and most likely the next as well.
@@GiblixStudio the franchise died when george lucas sold it.
To me, “dead” means it can’t come back. I still think Star Wars can come back if they focus on characters and story telling.
@@ErikDayne Not sure about that
@@ErikDayne Yeah, but disney care about money always has. the special thing about george lucas is that he didnt care about money, hollywood and all that stuff. He just wanted to make a story that people relate to. That is the main thing about telling a story. that u see that character in ur self or other people.
When can we get to the point where we never hear the words “The Acolyte” ever again?🤦🏼♂️😩😂😂😂💩💩💩💩
My favourite bit is when these "new fans" accuse people whose entire job relies on a continuous supply of new Star Wars to show off of intentionally destroying Star Wars. That doesn't even make sense lmao
Ask your doctor about Acolyte Today:
“Once I tried Acolyte, I immediately kicked my prescription of hypnotic sleeping pills. I have never got to sleep faster.”
Side effects may include: Severe night terrors or debilitating sleep paralysis about the Disney show Acolyte or Hypnagogic hallucinations about Acolyte Season 2.
The acolyte is the Dragon Age the Veilguard equivalent of the TV show industry 😂
lol
Op you're so damn right
Bring it back so Disney can lose more money
I love that "highest number of minutes watched original show in 2024" qualifier. Reminds me of movie commercials "The #1 Animated Family Comedy".
To be fair it was the most successful Star Wars show directed by a former personal assistant to Harvey Weinstein in history.
Velma's "best animated show on HBO" tagine. Streaming platform metrics are tricky

Ironically enough, acolyte made me a star wars fan. I kept hearing how bad it was compared to the original star wars, so I thought: "Okay, my curiosity is peaked." So, I watched the prequel trilogy, and I thought they were pretty good. I then thought: "Okay, I got a general feel of star wars. Let's see how acolyte compares." Yep, it was as bad as everyone said, but I went back, watched the original trilogy and now watching star wars: the clone wars! I can see why they are so beloved!
Whoever edits your videos always does an amazing job but they ATE on this one 😂
