Not to high but nice and wide? I notice a lot of the high rise freaks look like shit or have shit designs. I have some mid and high rise. High rise, is just uncomfortable as all hell. And feels like its going to ruin your thumb if you play alot. Mid rise is just right. It takes some getting used to as you're moving your thumb differently than normal. And your body isnt used to it. But it does make a signifigant difference on accuracy. And the wideness and grip of it, is great. I do recommend the mid rise. I buy the galaxies and only use the mid rise on the right stick. Cause for grip and feel. Its the most popular they make, and for good reason. They really do enhance your game in fps games with some practice. They also usually only come in purple and white...bleh. But they have some limited edition black ones right now. I ordered 2. Cause Iv been using them for quite some time. And havent worn any out yet. Pro tip. If they're getting slippery. Get yourself some dawn and a gentle pipe cleaner. And clean all the oil and finger gunk off of them. And they'll feel even gripper and better than if they were new. Cheers!

They really should make some more LowRise sets so that we have more variety to choose from instead of only having a choice out of Alpha and Omni. Personally I want to see a LowRise version of the FPSFreek Inferno thumbstick get made that is for PS4/5 and XBox One/Series X (the Turbo set they released a few years ago is the closest one to it, but was only for Switch JoyCons).

For me, I've got clam hands. So if the convex tipped sticks are made of not-so-grippy material, they become unusable for me. Despite being easier on the fingers when playing for long hours. For example, PlayStation 1 and 2 controllers. I always had difficulty using them as soon as my hands started sweating 😂.
Low rise feels the best for me, the extra grip and wider cap helps me aim in close range. Because it’s not as tall you get less leverage which keeps your stick tension higher. So I’m my opinion low rise is the best all round

Agreed.. I went a bit nuts on these dumb sticks, and now have 3 sets.. why? bored out of my mind and too much time I guess? I have galaxy, fps something something and the MW ADS ones.. and the MW ones are my favorite.. why? The rubber is really sticky and the domed design works really nice for keeping your thumb in it's place. Mid rise galaxy are also good, especially for the fatty as fuck PS5 controller.
I don't like the extra effort to click buttons when using high-rise sticks. Not to mention my hands get more fatigued after long play sessions compared to the others. Mid and low rise are the best way to go for me personally.
I have VERY bad nerve damage in my left hand (From a broken neck) and my left thumb does not work very well, the only way i can still play is by using the Kontrol Freaks High rise and it allows me to use more of my hand instead of just my thumb, it is weird to explain but i LOVE them. The one i am using is the green MW-2 Performance thumb sticks and they saved what little gaming i am able to do for a while.
Convex are the best ones IMO. much better accuracy for small adjustments and you play with you thumb straighter instead of all cramped up above the thumbstick. With that said DISLIKE UNSUBSCRIBE REPORT FOR HARASSMENT
I have the convex and hybrid set on my ps5 controller and love them. I play destiny mostly so my left stick is forward like 90% of the time. The convex left stick really helps my thumb pad not hurt from pressing sprint a ton when playing for awhile.
I just bought the alphas a few days ago (low rise) and they’re awesome. I don’t like the taller thumb sticks and the alphas feel like I’m on an Xbox 360 again which I love
I love the „FPS ultra” high-rise concave on my aiming stick, feels like a cursor (or something just feels right about them). Left stick any lows or mids will do (prefer convex). Only downside is the KF material can make the fingers feel sweaty a bit.

The ps4 control has a hybrid tumstick design and that's one of the cons of the controller. It gets slippery. The tire tread on the Xbox is far better with it's grip but honestly the Nintendo switch pro controller feels the best for me because it's flat but has a ton of grip.
The shit that drives me up the wall is....KF will make some BANGER sets and then stop selling them after a few years. I LOVED my Alphas, but I wore them out fast, but by the time I got around to finding another set, they were anywhere from $30-$50.

if you're using xbox series x|s controller high rise will be good for you because series x|s controller is smaller than the old gen xbox one controller. it sort of balances it out and makes your thumbs fit nicely in place on the sticks
Total waste of time, Turtle Beach sound whore fan service of a controller, didn't even have trigger stops, do yourself a favour and buy Power A Spectra for 30$ less and with trigger stops
If the height is too tall, I think that actually limits your accuracy because how much control you lose due to the added high which makes you reach up to the stick.
i stopped using my mid-rise galaxy kontrol freek Monday last week. ive been playing the best i ever have. broke my wz pr twice in one week. i always thought there was a reason most of the best controller fps players don’t use them, but still can’t explain it. some might use the low or mid but very low % compared to the rest.
Most of the best controller FPS players already have controllers with higher sticks, so they don't need kontrol freeks. At least in Warzone all the top players I follow have high(er) sticks on the right. i.e JoeWo, Exzachtt and Mutex
Higher the stick the more theoretical accuracy but theory is where it ends, now your dead zone is larger and the stick needs to be moved more and so accelerated more to do the same thing which provides the same overshoot as short sticks. The extra length reduces the spring resistance and so provides a higher likely hood of overshoot. The long stick make it harder to reach the triggers without moving the sticks which reduces accuracy. Higher stick in actual fact give NOTHING. You would have an advantage if the sticks were like 3" long and gripped with thumb and index finger with the buttons and triggers rearranged to allow easy quick access.
Long Sticks don't increase your deadzone, that's done via software or in game. Increasing length does not increase your deadzone. And while it does make it more difficult to reach the triggers, you're really blowing it out of proportion. I've used extended sticks on the biggest Controllers in my collection (PS5 And Eswap X Pro) and I can reach them just fine, as well as the buttons on the back. No issues. Overshoot isn't as much of an issue because of the width kontrol freeks give you. You have more control, way more. If you want, you can try them yourself since it really doesn't sound like you have. Or is sounds like you've tried them for 4 minutes and decided you didn't like them before giving them a chance If they don't work for you that's cool, but the facts about longer thumbsticks still stand. They're slower, more accurate, and used by man many professional players who would also discount your claims here
long sticks themselves do not increase deadzone. what determines deadzone is the WIDTH OF THE SHAFT of the stick, and since kontrolfreek's do not increase the width of the shaft, they do not alter the deadzone.

With sticks twice the length you have to move your thumb twice the amount to get out of the deadzone so in effect the size of the deadzone relative to thumb motion is increased with stick length. The width of the shaft only effects the maximum throw of the stick so if the outer deadzone is not changed then wide stick shaft limits movement and therefore limits max turn speed.
I got the black battle Royale ones same as fortnite but black. First time I used them I hated them. So a week later I said I would try them for a week without taking them off. I started hitting hard shots and now I can't play without high-rise. They were uncomfortable but now feel normal now and I like that there rounded and not concaved. If i don't have them its just weird and uncomfortable.You just need to stick it out for a week. NO pUN INTENDED

I use low-rise on my left stick so it doesn't wear out and it gives better grip, only downside is that you want minimal height for responsiveness. I like the high-rise vortex on the right stick, so does joewo, but it might be a taller person thing. I feel like concave gives you a more inconsistent grip personally... I used to use the galaxy, but fell in love with vortex

Using two high-rise ones is so weird to me. They're supposed to be for the right stick only. I use the 'Edge' ones, which are high-rise and low-rise. I'm thinking about getting the 'Vortex' ones soon, which are high-rise and mid-rise. I hope I like mid-rise, I've never used one of them them before.

I feel like the low rise thumb sticks help when using lotta melee in halo infinite, basically really cqc I can hit odd angles very quickly and can only do that with the lows

Control freak = 15 - 20 dollar

The extra length reduces the spring resistance and so provides a higher likely hood of overshoot. The long stick make it harder to reach the triggers without moving the sticks which reduces accuracy.
Higher stick in actual fact give NOTHING.
You would have an advantage if the sticks were like 3" long and gripped with thumb and index finger with the buttons and triggers rearranged to allow easy quick access.
Long Sticks don't increase your deadzone, that's done via software or in game. Increasing length does not increase your deadzone. And while it does make it more difficult to reach the triggers, you're really blowing it out of proportion. I've used extended sticks on the biggest Controllers in my collection (PS5 And Eswap X Pro) and I can reach them just fine, as well as the buttons on the back. No issues. Overshoot isn't as much of an issue because of the width kontrol freeks give you. You have more control, way more. If you want, you can try them yourself since it really doesn't sound like you have. Or is sounds like you've tried them for 4 minutes and decided you didn't like them before giving them a chance
If they don't work for you that's cool, but the facts about longer thumbsticks still stand. They're slower, more accurate, and used by man many professional players who would also discount your claims here
long sticks themselves do not increase deadzone. what determines deadzone is the WIDTH OF THE SHAFT of the stick, and since kontrolfreek's do not increase the width of the shaft, they do not alter the deadzone.
@@shawn1357 Inner Deadzone is percentage of the overall, so if it is 5% then longer sticks don't change that.
With sticks twice the length you have to move your thumb twice the amount to get out of the deadzone so in effect the size of the deadzone relative to thumb motion is increased with stick length.
The width of the shaft only effects the maximum throw of the stick so if the outer deadzone is not changed then wide stick shaft limits movement and therefore limits max turn speed.

I got the black battle Royale ones same as fortnite but black. First time I used them I hated them. So a week later I said I would try them for a week without taking them off. I started hitting hard shots and now I can't play without high-rise. They were uncomfortable but now feel normal now and I like that there rounded and not concaved. If i don't have them its just weird and uncomfortable.You just need to stick it out for a week. NO pUN INTENDED

I use low-rise on my left stick so it doesn't wear out and it gives better grip, only downside is that you want minimal height for responsiveness. I like the high-rise vortex on the right stick, so does joewo, but it might be a taller person thing. I feel like concave gives you a more inconsistent grip personally... I used to use the galaxy, but fell in love with vortex

Using two high-rise ones is so weird to me. They're supposed to be for the right stick only. I use the 'Edge' ones, which are high-rise and low-rise. I'm thinking about getting the 'Vortex' ones soon, which are high-rise and mid-rise. I hope I like mid-rise, I've never used one of them them before.
