The Acuity mods are just really cool to me because they're strong enough to be worth it, but basically demand you mod completely differently to normal. Like, status becomes so much weaker and less reliable without multishot getting you multiple procs so you have to think a lot harder about your expected procs per trigger pull, you have to know what you want to replace the multishot mods with which matters on Secondaries that like Lethal Torrent, and on top of all that, they seem to actually function on *Gun CO* logic, meaning projectile weapons seem to typically get 300% crit Multiplicative To Modded Crit Chance, which is absolutely insane. So, like, of all things, the Basmu is really good now. What a wonderful new meta honestly.
Basmu has always been really good. It lacks the AoE nukes that guns like Stahlta and Aeolak have but it does on par damage per shot with higher fire rate and can proc a whole lot more status on its own vs those other 2, and thats just the primary fire. Mod cold into the gun and a quick tap of the alt fire basically instant freezes anything it touches for any Frostbite/Ice Storm shenanigans
I feel like Basmu is not the best weapon for this kind of setup, it lacks accuracy and base crit. I personally like to run high multishot and as much statuses as possible, like electric+heat+viral+magnetic+radiation, then then serration and merciless for lots of base dmg and aptitude, since it's multiplicative on base fire mode, gives a lot of upfront damage
Jokes on you! I never use multi shot! Even if I'm not using the acuity mods! And I... Do less damage...

Id recommend trying Primary Acuity on the Kuva Chakkhurr, you get the multiplicative scaling from the increased Headshot Damage that comes from the passive weapon ability. Primary Acuity is also multiplicative of damage and crit sources, so some mods get more bang for your buck.
Explains why I was hitting for 100mil plus Red!!Crits. I wonder if it's intended.
Since this is not intentional, don't rely on it in case they do nerf it. And don't get upset if they do lol.
Ive been doing exactly this (without knowing its multiplicative) with blast and a single headshot basically wipes out everything caught in the blast proc range
I feel like it doesn't need any fixing because of how clunky the kuva chakkhurr is without any reload speed and fire rate. With a primary acuity build you dont have any space for those mods. But you get rewarded with millions of red crit headshots if you can handle the downsides, which I am happy with considering the competition is torid, burston, latron incarnon that all also have way better Aoe
6:30 with Cyte-09's help we can determine that Orokin drones in fact don't have a weak point.
Cyte-09 is going to spearhead the Crit Meta. No debate. And if anything, he can really shine in the Simulacrum to identify where weak points are on enemies. Or if enemies even have weakpoints at all.
The only downside are the frost bubbles from Eximus, but you can still kill them before they put the bubble up. They only turn those on when they see you, so his wallhack 1 can abuse their line of sight requirement.
I’ve been running all my precision weapons with some blast. Makes a lot of the crowds easier to deal with, especially when they have the enemies that cover their weak point.

Like you said, it's really good and powerful, but wants you to actually pay attention to the stuff going on in the game rather than spamming explosives or light melee
Free damage and crit on most weapons for nothing is wild, you'd think this'd be limited to like bows and snipers in the same way as cannonade
Knell is really interesting with the acuity mods but I just feel like there are so many eximus unitss(cc immune) and units with giant backpacks or shoulderpads that I find myself constantly reloading because I cant hit their head
That is my only gripe with it too, the Grineer with their chonky shoulders are basically impossible to headshot if they have their backs turned from you
I feel like DE needs to make it so if you have any amount of punch through on hitscan weapons you should be able to shoot through the oversized backpack on the grineer and still hit them in the back of the head.
Yeah but I've hit over 60M with it so it balances itsef out.
@@agent_of_nyar the only loadout I have the Knell perma glued-on is my Khora build since her snare can CC even acolytes and as soon as I get the ball rolling I can just spray groups down without dropping the buff, the only hard part is the first headshot in the chain for the ammo efficiency. It’s like a better incarnon effect and the big red math that appears when you start mowing hordes down is just worth it, the only drawback being the 1 round mag and slow reload in the event that you miss. If the Knell had a base 5 round mag it would be OP
The weapons acuity is multiplicative on is pretty much the same ones that GunCO is multiplicative on, weapons that can use both are insane

Just so everyone knows, you can still proc the stacking multishot from Galvanized Chamber/Diffusion, the Acuity mods only lock the ability to modify it.

@@lynlawson3862 the stat is locked at the weapon's base multishot but it doesn't stop you from putting in multishot mods or getting multishot buffs, just nullifies the effect

@@lynlawson3862 it's got one niche use in sentinel dps because galvinized mods on sentinel weapons can only get stacked up by stacking them on your own weapon but that's such a niche senario and it'd be horrible inefficient to do so

Here’s an idea: use the Secondary equivalents of the Acuity mods on any secondary weapon you want, then the Scourge to make all the bullets guaranteed to hit always hit heads!
oh man, the tiberon is really nostalgic for me (kinda wild to say about a gun in a video game that is still popular, but whatever.) It was my first real weapon with some HEFT to it back in like 2014. I remember back then running it on semi auto for BIG CRIT DAMAGE and using an auto clicker to make it into effectively chonky machinegun. Good to see the Prime getting some love with the new mods.
I like how we're getting more build variety. Use this on the MIGHTY SEER
I think the goal with that mod is raw damage over status. In a lot of cases status and multishot will chew threw enemies faster but in cases where you want maximum damage, that is the mod to use instead and just go raw damage and armor stripping.
It's crazy, I was actually messing around with Tiberon Prime and Primary Acuity myself just before this vid popped up in my feed that's amazing! :P
And similarly, I also had an Acolyte act funky too; Instead of laying on the ground mine got their shields burst'd down and then they just left. Like, didn't drop anything just faded from existence.
Galvanized scope makes the acuity absolutely insane, especially with deadhead. That combo mixed on my stahlta with blast let me hit a 375m red crit with 3 "!" At the end
Ive been having a ton of fun with making primary crux builds lately, dera vandal has been my fav so far, but there are so many cool options for nifty builds (I actually was having fun with the basmu, it gives you enough efficiency to unload, but you can still use the reload pulse from time to time. also very fun on the tenet flux rifle too, especially with the augment)
I have also been enjoying the new primary crux arcane. Especially with the soma prime and getting the hata Satya mod to work.
Tibby Prime was my favorite for ages, it's such a good all-rounder
The acuity mods have given new life to weapons that were way behind in the meta while also elevating the meta picks too for the trade off of loss of multishot which is quite fair. Ive put it on tiberon prime and sybaris prime as well and its a dream. got pistol acuity a few days ago and have loved it on my akvasto prime and tenet diplos. DE cooked with these mods.
I run it on my dera vandal incarnon and i deals millions per shot. I am very happy with it.
Good old single target boom, not the biggest fan of headshot builds but this does look interesting, thanks for the helpful video MC!
This mod is perfect when you want a single bullet to deliver your full damage output. Combining this with Limbo, breach surge, and his damage augment effectively gives you a damage cap number generator
the real winner of this video is that the crit chance is multiplicative with the Stahlta. holy shit, i just tried this and its the highest numbers with x3 red crits ive ever seen. fucking mental
If you haven't yet, you should try ax-52 with acuity, blast, electric, primary crux and elementalist mod! I've been enjoying it in steel path with my styanax for the free fire rate buff and seeing it do aoe damage. It's so much fun! Obviously crit damage mods too, aptitude and galv argon but for the most part, infinite ammo and aoe is hilarious
Also I need to say, you've been a big inspiration in me trying builds for fun instead of following the meta and using stuff like p sure footed on everything! I nuke steel path SD styanax but I do it in my way where I'm a dps, support and crowd control AND tank!

I usually only run blast build with acuity mod, you're losing out a lot of benefit from multishot for something that gives a even greater damage output, but it's only rewarded thru taking the time to go for headshot, it feels like some crowd damage from blast further justifies take the time and effort to aim for weak points, making it satisfying.
Acuity is my favorite thing they have added to this game in a long time.
I don't have a scourge to try it myself but you should really try out that mesa scourge setup you did but now with pistol acuity
and also this mod does funny stuff on certain weapons, you should try it on the tenet plinx, epitaph, or the laetum because it multiplies with crit from pistol gambit like aptitude & serration
brother I recently did the crazy cat guy volt build and it smashes steel paths. I also exterminate with it and its faster than ogris, which is crazy; its such a new way to play Volt. I love it, and I think I will keep playing with it for a while; primary acuity is not even the start.
If you're outsourcing viral, you could use the Radiation and Magnetic mods for Aptitude. You'd probably need to drop Deadhead because of the enemies turning away to fight each other.
this look like a neat setup. but to be honets, most of the new mods and arcanes havnt really been something i have gushed over. the invis = power strenght arcane is probably the one i have gushed the most over. the rest either have weird downsides like the summon arcane that gives powerstrengh for only 1 cast, or something like this mod and the impact = magnetic mods. the pet weapon mods are also great, and i really need to get into the grind for those both the new new and the new ones.
any enough rambling. 10/10 looks neat. add silence in the exilus slot and i would run it on my ivara.

My Boltor Incarnon felt better with acuity on it than a normal build, same with my Angstrum alongside the new secondary enervate arcane, just two examples of things that changed for me
I think you'd have been happy if you tried it on cyte's signature primary, a viral heat crit damage build slaps so hard with it. The only lacking thing is that his signature gun lacks punch through unless you're using it with cyte himself (honestly he makes even a twin grakata viral crit build more than steel path viable)
Acuity + Spectral on Ivaras bow with headshot boom arrows is pretty fun so far. Can recommend testing that out. I subsumed in Calibans ability to more easily get targets to be still for easy headshots. Other subsumes would also work, Sleep too but I find sleeps animation a bit too slow and some enemies are hard to headshot when they sleep.

Also yes, love the option to run the Acuity mods! Especially on weapons that really do not benefit too much on multishot or have low-ish crit and fire rate, but good everything else. Currently having fun with it trying blast on different weapons, mainly using it on the Nagantaka with a blast /- slash riven and elementalist... guaranteed blast on an a guaranteed orange crit headshot kill goes hard!

I crafted the Tiberion Prime the other day to combine it with its critical Precision mod
Acuity seems purpose built for eidolon killing, since the ONLY damage you can do is weakpoint
I've been having fun with it on my Sicarus incarnon, especially with a riven that juices the CC and CD even more. Will be testing it on my Dread with a riven as well once I get the incarnon adapter in a few weeks. Having some ideas to try it with Synapse too and praying we get a kuva equivalent for the weapon.
VERY IMPORTANT TO NOTE: Just like the Galvanised status mods, the damage and the critical chance from the acuity mods are multiplicative to base damage sources AND OTHER CRITICAL CHANCE SOURCES on projectile weapons making things like Red Crit Phenmor™ an extremely viable and potent option.

It's not on all projectile weapons, it's only mulitplicative on a specific set of projectile weapons. You can check the wiki page for Biting Frost for the full list
This whole mechanic is so great because I genuinely think it probably came into existence on accident (most mods probably take effect when the game generates a bullet from your gun; Gun CO and Acuity effects ask the game to do math when the enemy is actually hit by the bullet; these things are simultaneous when the bullet is hitscan, but would have to happen in two steps if the projectile actually has to travel), but it's seriously such a cool self-balancing thing because projectile weapons are usually* weaker than hitscan weapons anyway, so yeah no let them be significantly more powerful with these mods, that's fine
* exceptions always exist, here's looking at you, Arca Plasmor And Similar Such Weapons
Try the Acuity stuff on the Zenith, please I beg you.

I tried Pistol Acuity with the Knell Prime, and it was awesome:)
You just need to have good aim lol
so the new arcane that gives ammo efficiency and status chance on weak point hit stacks with other sources, so im using it on the ak and just spray and praying at head level because even with a non maxed out arcane you can quickly hit 100% ammo efficiency.

Its a really cool weapon, especially with the protokol skins, but cannot find an updated build on it so far
Primary crux on weapons with some other way of getting ammo efficiency (like dera incarnon) can reach 100% ammo efficiency, it's pretty fun
Also, primary acuity is funny on Vectis, I'd love to see what it does with primed chamber and depleted reload
Oh yeah and acuity on the stahlta does NUMBERS
I'm just gonna say secundaria Acuity is pretty pretty nice on epitaph, you loose area but the fact that if you need it is there to make some very very nice damage with o ly 1 mod investment

Hey MC, just a heads-up, the new primary crux arcane makes a quickfire kuva drakgoon build actually viable now :) use serration, gun co and the new magnetic + fire rate shotgun mod for best results
I Put acuity and cannonade on my kuva chakkhurr, which basically turned it into a musket
Kullervo, Collective Curse, replace the 1st ability with good old Gloom and put on your best Rubico Prime for old times's sake, have fun :D

To me, the real trick to these kinds of builds is that they show why we have a secondary weapon slot. Does your build struggle with Nullifier bubbles or small flying enemies? There's a secondary for that!
I realize that you said you're not much of a precision rifle guy, but build the Latron Incarnon with Primary Acuity. It's resurrected the Latron to levels I've not felt since Closed Beta when there were arguments on if it out did the Snipertron.
I’m a big fan of Tiberon Prime but I decided not to mod for the Acuity just because the multishot helps build Critical Precision faster. Also, this is not a gun I use without some form of CC like max slow Gloom.
I don't even notice the lack of multishot.

Id use this setup with kullervo with harrows 1 for cc. Lots of big damage that can be sent and chained to enemies. Thats also my main sniper boy as well.
I find it works well on 1999 and underground deimos areas, freeroam deimos not so much
I wonder if the acuity mods would work on Ivara and the concentrated arrow augment. Im thinking also to put evade on her since you want to hit headshots anyway. Concentrated arrow makes her arrows explode upon hitting headshots and it actually deals competitive damage

I use precision acuity on the sybaris prime since its automatic and has two rounds fired at the same time
Tiburon kind of makes me sad. It's such a beautiful weapon and I love the different fire modes but it is severely limited in Sqauds due to everyone just annihilating your kills long before its useful.
I want an ax riven so bad. Negative multishot wouldn't matter, it could still be a god roll

You should try this with secondaries, they have 2 multishot mods, that's a lot of wiggle room for builds

There’s an arcane that I’m surprised there isn’t much talk about, but I’m probably not looking hard enough to see discussion about it. Secondary Enervate is absolutely broken with weapons that have a low crit chance but high crit damage. I don’t think anyone needs to tell you what weapon this arcane works best with >:)
Revisit the Kuva chakkurr with this mod, I think it would surprise you, also subsume gloom on your inaros to slow then down to get Easyer headshots not just self healing.

I use it on the AK but i can definitely see it being used on snipers and say... artemis bow.

May I humbly suggest you start testing on eximus units instead? It seems like we are getting more and more eximus enemies, at a certain point outnumbering regular enemies.
Testing on regular mobs feels outdated. How fast can it kill overguarded units?

stats wise, doesn't this match up to about how much multishot would be providing for a weapon, in some cases less and more depending on the weapon?
This impacts cc/cd way more than status obviously since those are the weapons you want to be using this on but still. If you can hit your shots, I'd say this is just as if not more effective than multishot bonuses.
So... use this tib build on a frost....or with any gloom

Stuff like this makes me wish I didn’t play on ps5. Controller makes headshots much more difficult than on PC.
Not sure if it's a bug or not, but I'm reaching 200mil+ headshots on my Staltha with Acuity, and with my invisible Nova
How do you get it
I personally believed acuity mods are best on crit focus single hit weapons, since losing multi-shot is not ideal for most things status related.
So sniper rifles or old school semi weapons.
Also it requires skills, so it's literally unusable for me😢.
