- Strap in, y’all, we’re getting intellectual in this one. We read about De Broglie wavelengths and we tried to use ‘em to let us enjoy a special frozen drink while watching the new Grease TV show, but that got too complicated. So instead we traveled to an alternate universe and set ourselves up for a PERFECT callback.

Griffin's wish for a Christmas funeral "because you're gonna be thinking about ME!" is so funny.
That couple getting married probably went down the thought process of "everyone has thanksgiving off, and my family will be coming to town for that. Might as well roll them together". but didnt consider that their friends probably wouldn't be able to accommodate their plans.
It's still wild to plan your wedding on Thanksgiving. That's asking for people not being able to make it.

That's fine for a family only wedding but you have to expect like, NO friends make it.
I actually think that may be their plan. They probably want a small wedding, but didn’t want to awkwardness of not inviting people. By having it on thanksgiving, it’s both giving their guests an easy excuse to not go, and gives them the relief of having asked all the “right” people.

My grandparents were married on Thanksgiving Day, but that was in 1948, so I’m guessing it wasn’t as big a deal then.
They may have just capitalized on a day when most family would already plan to be around.

As someone who hates Thanksgiving for Toxic Family Reasons, I could absolutely see this person using this as an excuse to have a small wedding without having to make an excuse for not inviting all the people they "should" invite. They know they "should" invite like 150 people, say, but they only want like 20 people to show up. How do you pull that off without offending 130 people? Put it on Thanksgiving.

@@mothergoose9383 all jokes should be valid, might not be the funniest on it's own but metal gear solid has kind of beloved 9/11 jokes and they are not meant in ill will because the whole purpose of it as a franchise is to be anti war
