WOW....what a blast from the past. "One Tin Soldier" was one of the first songs I learned on a guitar and the meaning of it still has a place in my heart. Rest in peace Billy
Billy Jack was one helluva inspiration for me. I just adore the movie, fighting for the underdog and all that. What a message for today!! I look forward to meeting the hero on the flip side, may he rest in peace!❤️🙏❤️
My daughter somehow had got the DVDs it took her a little bit to find them. I am 65 years old now. In the seventies that was the first movie I ever seen. And One tin soldier is going to be played at my funeral. The most powerful song of My Life. In and Billy Jack The Best of the Best he is the the greatest inspiration of my life to protect people. It made me fight harder for what is right cuz I got kicked out of school a lot in the seventies for fighting but I did it for what was right. I hope his daughter is the same way God bless them people and the rest of the actors and actresses they did such a great
what a movie!! Billy Jack was the epitome of toughness and no nonsense!! he would strike fear in the bad guys when he came on the scene.Yet he had a heart for the mistreated and downtrodden.
I was 13 years old in 1972 the Billy Jack movies we're absolutely awesomem. Not like this shit that comes out of Hollywierd these day's. Billy Jack movies had substance to them.
@@daleemrick9816 Dale I don't know how you feel about growing up in the seventies, I'm just great full that I got to experience an amazing time to grow up. I grew up in Golden Colorado, horses, dirt bikes, mountains, ditch trails. Things truly we're simpler back then Best music ever in the history of our country. Rock n roll, disco, country music was starting to really come along. Not all the woke bullshit racism being pushed today by our federal government.
I remember Tom in South Pacific, he was the pilot ,but when he gave Billy Jack a life he tapped in to a state of mind that was following the times the 60s. To think no one wanted to do this film, so he did it himself ,great insite .
As a Martial Artist, I appreciate Mr. Thomas Lauglins integrity and honesty ! I'm a huge fan , but did not know until recently that he knew vary little about karate . He told us that before doing the " Billy Jack " movies , he only had about 6 months of training . All of the fight scenes were done by an expert , Not Mr. Laughlin . Thank you sir and I would make you an honorary Black Belt !
The mind and body are a great example when an individual express a sounded disciplined that comes from ones spirit guided by heart. 1971, Billy Jack the best film , I ever saw, since. In Memory of Richie 63. SUNSET PARK, BKLYN. N.Y. DON1.
Tom Laughlin was a very inspirational man. I always believed in standing up for your rights. I carried that attitude even through my military career. Some people don't like that mindset, but it has always kept me sharp. His movies will live forever! God Bless you Tom!
Yes.the adage" bad men succeed when good men do nothing" is so true.i ' have told some people courage is doing something when you are afraid but will yield long lasting results when it's the right thing.
Magnificent piece of truth , there is a Billy jack in everyone of us , no one is coming to save you - you are the one you have been seeking ,imagine 1-million Billy jack’s awakening all at once , it is coming but 1 million is being very conservative speaking ! It is painful to really awaken but you only have to do it once ! Meditation is the key to success in all situations. This movie has inspired me since a child in 70’s and I fully intended to follow the lead of a true hero ❤
Although the movie itself was filmed in Arizona, the film itself was based on true events that happened in Rosebud SD. Some think it’s fictional. I’m here as a Cree Indian to tell you, it’s all true.
I seen this movie when I was a kid and have the movie. This is a movie that when I was young couldn't or didn't understand what it was meant to be prejudice. This movie taught me a lot when I was young and love the movie today.....I just wish there was more "Billy Jacks" in the world today!
He taught me, he showed me, and I became him in life. Throughout my life I have always stood up for those that could not stand for themselves. I gave a voice to those that could not speak for themselves. And I Loved those that no one else would Love. Thank-you, Tom. You are missed already.
Thank You for this great recall !! We saw these movies at a drive in in Austintown Ohio in the late 70's or early 80's...brings back SO many GOOD memories !! THANK YOU !!

It's amazing the truths some songs told us back in the late 60s and early 70s, "One Tin Soldier" is one of them. It's probably more true today than in 1968 (69?). Sad, isn't it ?
😢WOW,SORRY 2 HEAR ABOUT MS. TAYLOR I SAW TRIAL WHEN I WAS IN MY TEENS AND I NEVER FORGOT WHAT A IMPACT IT MADE ON ME. REST IN POWER TOM & DELORES,REST IN POWER!
Kenneth Tobey survived the the giant octopus in "IT Came From Beneath the Sea" and "The Thing From Another World", but Billy Jack was just too much. RIP Tom Laughlin.
In 1969 , I saw Coven(the band that sings that) do a free concert in Indianapolis at a downtown park . Their music was harder rock nothing like that song but same band.
Billy Jack loved his fellow native Americans. The only people in the history of the world (to my knowledge) that were given rights after being conquered.
Kudos, power for his vision of the Americans to make right for the people that lived before the first President. Sad to see the first people are still living in a third world. Glad to be Canadian.
Natives had it all figured out; living with what Earth provided. Once, we determined to mine /take it all for profit and denying those coming in the future, we stepped off the cliff. If we can go back, it will be to how the natives did. We should let them be our guide now.
pinkfloyd2120; Thank you! Well done tribute. I like the credit for Coven/Tin Soldier just used from the original film. Hey, remember “Bless the Beasts and the Children?” That was very good too!
Hey great to see these clips! My dad is David Roya (Bernard Posner).
It's a pleasure, thank you for reaching out all those years ago! Your pops is an inspirational man!!!
Louis Abramson your dad was a good actor very believable.
Small world. I used to work with a guy who trained with Bong Soo Han.
Totally cool! He did such an awesome job acting tell him we all appreciate him helping to make the movie.
Awesome!! How's he doing these days? Great movie.Great performance. Lousy clip. 2-21-2023
Saw Billy Jack at a drive-in with my girlfriend and it was so good we actually watched the whole movie.
I did too. With Lucy from Jeff HS. Cinema park theatre, on Montana rd.
Most violent movies , don't protect children like this man , he hated racism , he hated bigatry , and child abuse .
Just heard Delores Taylor passed away. Tom Laughlins wife and co star. RIP Billy Jack, reunited with your partner at last......
Very sorry to hear that
May she Rest In Peace 🙏 They are both reunited 🙏 😢 ❤️
She was a fine actress.

I actually have this movie! Love it. ❤
That neck chop to Bernard had to hurt
he stood for what's right, a champion of his people.
A real Green Beret that stood for his country!
Bullshit. I can't find and evidence he served. Also 6 months of karate training.
He portrayed and ex-green beret in the move!
@@paulseabrook8179 I think he was talking about the character, not Laughlin himself.
Billy Jack was the Best of the Best, A Great Man
Yeah these were and always be epic movies no doubt
I loved watching Billy Jack at the drive in when I was a kid
One tin soldier song was my favorite when I was a kid

Great tribute; RIP Tom!
I was 4 years old when this classic film song came out Maureen McGovern
Not Maureen McGovern song is done by the band Coven
As an adult, it's difficult to take these films too seriously, but if you were a certain age when these movies were reeled, they meant a lot.
My uncle Neal was friends with him he was a person with a heart of gold
R.I. P. Billy Jack
Wish I could find these movies on Netflix or somewhere..love him
He was my super hero back in the day 🐾🪶🪶🪶🪶🪶
This movie was my motivation for studying Taekwondo. I just love that scene where he kicks Posner in the face LOL
I think everyone does.
Billy Jack was the greatest man
iconic character!!!
The best native movie series ever made!!
great movies!!

The hat is bad ass..................
Agreed. I lost my father in 2008, and still haven't broken down to wear the hat. Shadow box.
The hat has it's own language, speaks to Billy's enemies before he says a single word!
Billy Jack was "The Legend", of all times.
Billy Jack could have been the last real man America had.
Trump Now ...

Love the movies he made
Yeah, I'd seen the movie a month or so before ending up in Prescott, in '74. When I recognized the Plaza, it seemed like a good sign (and it was!).
Rest in Peace, Billy
he was almost like Bruce Lee for us in the 70's. we liked his twisting turning and jumping kicks.never seen before in japanese karate.
beautiful
God bless billy jack

So do you walk everywhere you go, or ride a horse? You do know that "natives" drive cars and have guns, don't you (among many other things)?
It a good movie

He did well to fight for his people, as an Inuvialuit he rises above for his people.
