I thoroughly appreciate your piano tutorials and the format in which you present them. The way that you avoid distracting vocal commentary really helps me focus on hearing each note of the phrases and voicings. During the isolated piano sections that you lead the videos off with, the pacing of your playing is "just right" for me, allowing enough time for accurate observation while still keeping the harmonic context alive. So again that helps me learn the song efficiently via ability to focus on "hearing" the song as harmonic function and progression (and internalizing that hearing/building the capacity for mental playback). Your avoidance of discursive interruptions really helps keep my mind in that "hearing the music mode" . The full-song, full-speed playalong at the latter half of your vids is great for learning the other less tricky sections of the song and fun to playalong to as well. If you had an entire catalog of piano tutorials, yours would be the ones I'd turn to whenever I want to learn a new song, because yours are really efficient for my style of learning. The fact that you are starting by filling out the Steely Dan catalog is the icing on the cake -- awesome track choices! Thanks again and happy holidays.
Wow, thanks for all the kind words. Love your handle, too. Midnight Cruiser is an awesome song. I’ll keep doing them as long as people watch and enjoy. Happy Holidays!
These videos are so great! Just figuring out the chords to a Steely Dan song can be challenging, but you always nail the exact voicings. Incredible work :)
@@jbradymd Yeah, not too worried about verses but darn that solo has been a challenge to learn. The echo they used on it makes it a challenge to decipher what is really going on.
Sorry, I learned this (and most of these) by ear so I don't have sheet music. If you email me, I can send you one shared by some else. It will not be exactly the same, but it's in the ball park. Thanks for watching
This tutorial is like a honey glazed Ham with sprouts and a long glass of jack cider. Tastes so good...
You did Omar proud here!
Fantastic! The Best version i have Heard!
Thank you very much, I appreciate the feedback!

You’re welcome. Thanks for watching
Kid Charlemagne, please.
Kid Charlemagne in the editing stage now! Stay tuned
This could be a great piano solo if you kept the Horace Silver samba beat throughout.
Good stuff! Maybe do the organ solo in Do it Again? Tough one I know but would like to see your take on it.
Hmmmm. Maybe a good idea for a short! The rest is very repetitive.

Do you have the sheet music used in this video available somewhere?

@@jbradymd Love the tutorial. Could you send me the sheet music you have that was shared by someone else? It would be so appreciated!
