Steely Dan - Black Cow Piano/keyboard Tutorial

- Black Cow is the first song on the AJA album by Steely Dan and one of my favorites. In this tutorial, the first sections are the various Rhodes parts and chords. Then (thanks to some really nifty subtraction software), I play along with the track with the keyboards subtracted, adding the clavinet bass parts. As always, a big gratitude to Fagen/Becker for giving us such a cool song to enjoy all these years. Hope this helps you figure out some of the chords and their inversions and thanks for watching!
This album was playing in the background of my senior year in high school at wild (by teenage standards) parties and the culminating prom.

Hey James, in previous tutorial you requested us to 'dig deep' ... well I'd appreciate your take on the ill-fated Second Arrangement. There have been some good 'covers' of it'd be handy to some of those chords nailed. I've gotten half way through but give up on the bridge. Cheers

Curious what keyboard/ sounds you are using?
I have a Korg Kronos. It’s a tweaked Rhodes patch with chorus and I think a little phase, then a Clavinet in the bass.
Don't write an A maj7 using. a Db...it's confusing. Use a C#, it's much clearer.
