We sold several of these units from a dealership in central PA in the 70’s. Just an industrial version of the 550. The 2/44 LL had an industrial loader with a front engine mounted hydraulic pump. Looks like someone was into the hydraulic system on this one as the bolts that hold the hydraulic pump manifold are missing. Great to see one being saved!
I’ll probably use it as a parts donor for my 550 and then sell it.
Those were tough little tractors. Don’t forget to cover up the holes so it doesn’t fill up with water.
Today is March 25. Guess you heard about Garden City? How much snow did you get? We got a little rain and a lot of wind! The neighbor had a 550 Oliver , I don't know anything about them.
We had 1.5” of rain and probably 3” of snow. Hard to measure when it’s all in drifts.
Dont give up on it! Proud owner of a green 550. Fun little tractors.
I believe I have a solution. Will know more this weekend.
We had a yellow 550 industrial with the 4spd/shuttle till my brother knocked the reverse out. 2-44...2wd 44 hp
I got a white 2-63-15 backhoe, 2wd 63hp 15' dig
Would probably be a fun little tractor once it was complete again.
They are fun. Beats a 9N ford all to hell. That’s for sure. I love little Massey Ferguson 50 & 65s. Pretty comparable to those.
Really rare one is the red "White" 550
Was also cockshutt 550 made by Oliver, not to be confused with the actual Cockshutt 550s pre-merger
I’ve got a buddy with an Oliver 550 that was a red Cockshutt 550 that allegedly was repainted at the factory before shipment.
Oliver was known to repaint anything to make a sale....
The grille would be similar to the 770 and 880 series I think.AL B.
You’re correct
I think those were built by Fiat
Fiat stands for... fix it again tony
My bad, I was thinking of the 2-45 which was built by Iseki
The fiats was 1250, 1265, 1365 ,1465s . 2 or 3 series of them
Those were later models.
Cute little guy😊
