- Picked up a salvage 1466 to tear down for parts for my 1456! Hopefully it’s not to far gone.

The hinicker and yr. around where close to the sam. I liked the hiniker it has a window a young kid could sit out of in the summer. 70,s
Most cabs around here were excel, Ansel or egging.
Big handle weights a plus😊worth more for parts😊

@@tmonteIH it's sad when they make modifications from factory originals, I know a lot of Case tractors that have been shortened.

We had a 1206 that was doing the same thing and we ended up splitting the tractor and found out that the spacer washers between the gears on the shaft for high, low, and reverse were smashed from someone slamming it from high/low range to reverse I’m assuming. We replaced all the washers and it fixed the problem. Dad says that they are thrust washers and since they were smashed it was letting the gears slide past one reverse and not letting it slide far enough to get into High/Low
Some people are good at tearing up tractors.
Not a bad looking tractor for a salvage unit.

I've seen several Hiniker cabs but l don't think I've seen one with a sliding rear window.
Somebody probably needs it then.
