- Final boss of ReMind's main story. This version of Armored Xehanort is way more enjoyable than the story version. This is probably my favorite story boss in kh3. Still has fast recovery when beside the wall unfortunately. Sometimes you just can't move right away when picking Kairi either which is pretty annoying. Wish there wasn't a checkpoint either so I could do this in one clean run.

Party members in the KH series have been known to forget what the hell it is they're trying to do. At least, in NieR: Automata, your compandroid actually helps wreck face, and allies in the Sword Art Online games actually utilize their skills. This series can't really say that, sadly. Otherwise, Nomura would have had to make the bosses more difficult, or make allies' attacks/defenses weaker to compensate.
@@KingdomKey-ik4xk Truth to be said, Kingdom Hearts 1 was the only series fully utilize Party member. At least for Donald and Goofy. Both of them were helpful and powerful to aid and deal decent damage if done right.
Donald has been memed to oblivion in the KH community because of his tendency to just refuse playing the support role he is. Don't even bother with items, cause they're probably gonna waste them if anyone gets the smallest scratch.

It's just a shame that Riku couldn't have been better, but then again, he already had 2 games where he's playable so it's fine.

I like Aqua combat more
She has more spells than Aqua, a better guard than Roxas, an easier Shotlock than Riku, and seriously outclasses all the non-playable guardians in damage output. If it weren't for lacking the Airstep option, she'd be better than Sora, too.
The way she throws her keyblade then teleports to it is my favorite part her combo
She clearly slipped into some Dissidia Final Fantasy territory and learned how to Warp Strike from Prince Noctis, another "Chosen Lightbearer" of sorts. Anyone can summon their weapon back to their hand from wherever, but sending _yourself_ to where your weapon is? that's a Lucian Royalty special there.

Thinking back on keyblade styles, the spinning element seems to be a call to have elemental affinity associated with it in general.
At least until you know a lot of things she does is similar to sora in the end.

Let's see Kairi achievement through the series:
KH1: got captured by the Maleficent and made Sora return in his original form after he turned into an heartless.
KH2: got captured by Saïx, killed 2 heartless on screen and summoned the door of light that allowed Sora and Riku to return to their world.
KH3: killed one heartless on screen, saved Sora from dying completely like the other guardians, went pretty much toe to toe with Lea against Xion and Saïx, broke Xemnas guard and then got captured by Xemnas, died, got saved by Sora and proceded to beat with him the fusion of the 12 replicas.
Quite the escalation.

Hopefully. I would like to see her fighting alongside the others at some point as well as having her own battles that are not part of a DLC. I have nothing against DLC's as a rule just to be clear.
She had a steep learning curve. A couple Shadows, then Xemnas, then Goatnort at his strongest. Two out of three ain't bad.

I find it fitting that a Princess of Heart fights the original Seeker of Darkness seeing as how the first time they all appear is when the Door of Darkness is created. Also, Xehanort getting beat up by the one he abused the most is satisfying in so many ways.
Technically this isn't Xehanort. It's the 12 replicas fused into one.

I love how you never have to actually end the battle. You can turn on EZ Codes and style on the old man forever! Plus, if you turn off the game before the cutscene ends, you can load an autosave at the start of the fight.

@@Yurei2Kactually canonically yes she's stronger than Sephiroth and technically Sora and Riku but not Aqua or Terra but pure power not all out skill. Of which she's just before the four mentioned above who are separated by mere points. With the exception of Sora now standing above them all solidly.
However her power comes from being one of the seven pure lights in the universe. She revived Sora without a body. She reassembled a big chunk of the universe by just thinking it. She moves at the speed of light since the day Sora stabbed himself (the cut scene is happening in slow motion when she almost catches him to everyone except her). With the skills up until that point. Then training with Lea who had ten years of combat experience at that point.
Canonically she's the heaviest hitter of the bunch but also the least experienced. The members of the real organization even comment on how reckless they're being dragging her into this. But they'll take her out if they have to. Which they ultimately do. By restoring an old overpowered move lost to time. Sleep. Worked on the magic mirror. Worked on vanitas works on Kairi. But only barely on her. Epic.
She's still able to mumble words despite the most powerful keyblade master so far cast it. EPIC!!!

Sora was pretty much absent for the entire fight except for throwing the occasional Firaga spell and helping Kairi doing the One Heart thing.

I really wish that they had allowed her to go to other worlds in Kingdom Hearts 3. It seems to me that thanks to training she has a solid base on how to use her abilities, now she just needs experience in a variety of situations. That is how Sora became as good as he was, he worked his way up gradually and in spite of him losing his strength each game he is able to bounce back quickly as a result. It seems that in Kingdom Hearts 3 she went right from the tutorial to the final boss battle. I have played games where I needed to face final bosses near the start, they rarely go well the first time the opponents are fought.

I pulled off, was most of pride, sora was lvl 99 so i could obliterate goatnort with him but no i knew this fight was desing to be played with kairi and i pull it off.

I'm pretty sure they're done with DLC and updates but it would be amazing if they gave you the option to play as the other playable characters in the Data Battles. Would be extremely difficult but so fun.

Also, HP doesn’t translate to story, so getting hit will incapacitate/kill characters
Characters parry so many hits but they can probably get knocked out with just one
Also, if you play critical mode, he puts her in critical health with one hit lol
If you want to take in game abilities into account, Kairi has second chance and once more and several of the harder bosses are designed with those in mind
So Kairi’s HP could have been 1 and Xehanort immobilized her, then finished her in one hit
She was knocked out, which lowered her def and hp. Also you forget characters get a massive buff when played by WillJV2 =D

Nice fight. Kairi’s the most well designed playable character in Re: Mind and this boss fight is fun with both characters.
If I may ask, what is the stats for Armored Xehanort (creates by the replicas)? I’ve heard he’s level 60 or so in this battle (HP 4000, Strength 73, defense 37) with the same secondary stats as his main story counterpart. Did they change his RV? Damage limit? Elemental resistances?

If he's Level 60, that'd explain why the Darkside takes so long at Level 50.
@@binkyboy448 Yeah. You aren't supposed to start Re:mind right after finishing the game (normally around level 35 to 42 in the first playthrough) because there is some hefty difficulty spike in the last few fights in the DLC.
I tried a level 35 run against Goatnort and a level 1 run. It doesn't have much difference to it. If you get in any of the attacks in the first phase you can still survive, second phase is another thing because the meteors are annoying with their timing.

There's something really empowering from those four words. Kairi has been a character that the entire KH fanbase roots for. She has a place in this story and due to some lackluster writing, she never got her place to shine, until now.
Kairi is a bit insecure of her powers. She's hesitant, but that's understandable. But she fights none the less with all her heart.
So, in the face of the greatest villain in the KH world, she stands against his might. Her power lies not on her light alone, but the connection with Sora by her side. They empower one another and she stands fearlessly against Xehanort, keyblade in hand.
She declares to Sora, Xehanort, the player, but most importantly, to herself...
"I can do this."

Everyone always hates on Kairi saying she almost always needs saving but guys this is a story where basically everyone, even the protagonist himself, needs saving at least once.
Ventus needed to be saved from Master Eraqus by Terra.Ven was also saved from his sleep by Sora. Terra needed saving from Xehanort, after getting possessed by him, by Aqua. Sora also saved Terra from Xehanort. Aqua needed saving from the Realm of Darkness by Sora, Riku and Mickey. Riku and Sora needed saving from the realm of darkness, which only happened because of Kairi's letter to Sora. Namine was saved from Marluxia by Sora and Repliku. Sora was saved by Kairi in KH 1, when her princess of heart power was able to turn Sora back to a human again. If it hadn't been for Kairi's lucky charm, the only thing that kept him grounded to his memories, then Sora would have turned into the Organization's puppet exactly according to their plan. In DDD, Sora was saved from Xehanort by Riku, Mickey, Axel, Donald and Goofy. In KH3, Kairi was the only reason everyone was able to come back to life after they lost for the first time in the war.
Kairi wasn't the only one saved, her saving is just more emphasized by for some reason. However, Kairi learnt to grow from the recklessness and is now aiming to become even better.
In KH2, Kairi didn't fight Xemnas alongside Riku and Sora because she only had a keyblade for like 2 Seconds. The two of them only win because they'd had more time and experience with the keyblade.
If we're going to be honest here, Kairi alone didn't stand a chance against Xehanort in Re:mind because she didn't have experience. She won because of both, her training and Sora.
That's why in Melody of Memories, Kairi wasn't able to fight properly against Xehanort. Because Let's be honest. Would it really be realistic that Xehanort, the main antagonist of the series (also one of the strongest characters), was defeated by some girl who only had a year's(?) worth of training and no PROPER experience? Hm? No, it wouldn't be.
Sora, however, had that experience. Because he went to countless worlds and fought just as many heartless and nobodies, defeated most of the members of the Organisation and defeated both, Xehanort's heartless and Nobody (both of which were the main antagonist of their own games). Still, Sora had outside help. The guradians of light, Master Yen Sid, Donald and Goofy. Sora almost always had help in his journey whether the help was small or big. So, if Sora had difficulty in fighting this much and only then was able to defeat Xehanort. Then why did people expect Kairi to be able to defeat him? Yes, Kairi is not weak but come on. She only had a year's worth of training, from a retired master no less, and still became strong enough to be praised by Xehanort. Now, she's going to train under Master Aqua and receive proper training from a full-fledged Master. Is that not enough evidence that Kairi is going to become and even more astounding and powerful character than she is now? In a game series where the main focus is supposed to be following Sora on his journey across the world. I think this is a great time for other characters to shine especially now that the Lost master Arc has begun. This includes Kairi.
As of now there are not many new announcements for KH4 but I'm sure we'll get to see something new and awesome this time. Not only with Sora but Riku and Kairi and the other characters too.
I gotta admit, she has better attacks then most Keyblade welders.
She is also a Princess of Heart. That might factor in.

My jaw is on the floor...When I tried this fight as Kairi, even on Normal, multiple times I failed. This kept happening until I got fed up and went with Sora and proceeded to demolish Xehenort. Completely ripped him a new asshole. How you managed to beat him without taking any damage is beyond me.
