Interesting about Kairi's fighting style. It's very trained; like following a rulebook to the letter, and not trying to take liberties by experimenting. Sora has no problem using other people's weapons and environments, while Riku uses his own dark magic and strength. Kairi seems to rely on technique and singular training.
I mean, she still has her own flourishes. Specifically her willingness to use the Keyblade's ability to disappear in order to gain a surprise upper hand on her opponent and to circumvent some of the issues with having it physical all the time.
ReMind and MoM did give us interesting ideas and insight into how Kairi fights and approaches the Keyblade. Makes me hopeful that training under Aqua yields great results...and that we get an actual game out of that instead of it being off screen.
More like a memory figment of Sora like the Xehanort before her is a figment of her memories unless this is the real Final World and Xehanort’s spirit came to confront her one more time But even he said that this world is a product of her memories Anyway in Kairi’s defense she has potential but she doesn’t have the experience to defeat a true yet fallen Keyblade Master like Xehanort, he held his own to her barehanded She needs training, thus as this is her world of memory she called on Sora to fight for her and her memories created him for that So this seems pretty necessary here
@@christophersanchez7731 "Your voice can't reach us here, I'm certain of where your heart is". Makes me very much doubt that it's a figment of kairi's imagination. Unless Kairi just totally forgot what beloved Sora sounded like.

Considering that he killed her once, and not to mention everything else he did, it’s honestly completely understandable. But still, of all the characters I thought would actively want to genuinely kill someone, I wasn’t expecting it to be Kairi.
It amazes me that Xehanort is over 80 years old but, is still so physically strong and capable to fight like he was in his prime. I mean first time we see him is in Birth By Sleep and the dude grabs Ventus (who is in full armor) by the head, lifting him one handed, squeezing so tightly he cracks the helmet of the armor before freezing and then dropping Ventus off a cliff. And now against Kairi he's catching her Keyblade bare handed, lifting her up and throwing her around like a rag doll, and even pushing her back single handed when their Keyblades clash.
It’s nothing short of an amazing, and I heard he is supposed to 90 in KH3. It is unbelievable at how he can actually move that fast and has an ‘impossible’ strength.

Well she maybe supposed to be stronger than Sora as she is a Princess of Heart If a Keyblade can weaponize a Heart into power than someone like Kairi would have immense potential
She's honestly good, she just needs more real-life experience, since trainings can only do so much. The reason why other keyblade wielders are strong are due to their experiences. Now I want to see a whole new game with her as the main character that actually focuses on her fighting enemies.
Consider how Yensid and Xehanort are technically just regular people and yet they can do such powerful feats. Imagine what a Princess of Heart, literal fragments of the X-Blade, can do when trained to the same level. A veteran Master Kairi would be utterly terrifying in battle, essentially a world destroying cataclysm in human form.
I love how when she fights she does it relentlessly. She closes the distance fast and doesn’t give the enemy enough time to react. It was evident when she fought Xemnas that he was caught by surprise and panicked. Too bad Xehanort has an inhuman reaction speed
Even though xehanort seemed to "hold back" against kairi, it's nice to see her growth. Unlike all the characters, she is the one with the least amount of fighting experience (and not keyblade experience, considering she has just a little more than Axel/Lea since we see kairi fighting a few heartless by the end of KH2). So, it's quite alright that she can't beat Xehanort, the biggest schemer and antagonist of the whole series on her own. For her second sceen fight, she did remarkably well, as said by xehanort himself, learned a few tricks and will continue to grow. Still a little disappointed that she doesnt fight at the end, with sora by her side like in re:mind, but i'll take it, since at the end, she is useful for the whole finding sora and bringing him back plot and maybe will have more fights to see her growth again.
@@UchaNekome Yeah, and i seriously thought that even though he is a beginner as a keyblade wielder, his past as an assassin in the organisation would grant him better fighting ability, guess not

The girl has talent. Honestly every move she made is percised and unwasted, but what's the point of making sure you hit your enemy if you don't have the strength to overpower them? That is what she lacking. Throw in a little unpredictablity (not the Sora rescue) and she can be a real force to be reckoned with.
@@Ncholasbloom it is. But can you blame them. After 20 osd games, some training between 3D and all of 3, and the game still makes her a kidnapping victim, I’d be a hater too. I can see she’s grown. But they could have made Kairi even better by now
Well she isn't fully strong enough to beat him on his own she was trained well but not good enough this is where aqua comes in to help kairi gain more skills
You do realize as soon as master xehanort pulled out his keyblade it was game over for her. However she did get acknowledged for her technique, the only people xehanort has acknowledged by either strength or technique was Terra all the way back in birth by sleep, and when eraqus managed to get him to give up the x-blade where he complimented sora. So him acknowledging her technique is huge but he’s still leagues above her in power.
i mean she still need more trining you cant expect her to defeat xehanort even if its not really him, but she could take a really strong heartless by her own probably and probably a few members of the original organization XIII, sora did beat them when he was still young and not too much experienced.
It's wild because the battle between Keyblade wielders is also strength of hearts, so the fact a princess of heart was holding her own with training under her belt against a man with strong ambitions whose heart rivaled quite a lot of powerful people is quite surprising. Then again Xehanort was just holding back and if he truly got serious this scenario wouldn't of ended the same. Still I'm hoping on a game with Kairi where Sora doesn't need to play knight in shining armor since she can hold her own very well. Now just imagine guidance by Master Aqua? She'd have phenomenal amounts of potential unlocked.
The thing is Kairi is no fighter fighting was never her thing she helped Sora a lot not because she fought but because of her power she saved Sora when he is a heartless and she helped him stay alive in the final world it’s okay if Sora helped her fight but to be honest she need to be in more games and needs more screen time and her own game
I'm very much aware of her abilities of revival and such, but my point is if Kairi steps up and fights I'd be glad, however managing to ward off Xehanort was a bit much imo, especially with how much stronger his heart is where the power of waking was needed in the final confrontation of KHIII. She shows skill even Xehanort mentioned that, so hopefully Aqua can bring said potential out within her given the chance Terra is included Kairi will be a force to be reckoned with.

You know, I do think Kairi honestly did as well as she could of. Her natural skill with the keyblade is honestly astonishing. Of course, since she was fighting Xehanort, one of the most powerful Keyblade wielders, she could only do so much against him, and what she did do, was honestly very good. I’m not gonna get my hopes up too much, but I see her potentially becoming one of the most powerful keyblade wielders out there.
I miss Leonard Nemoy, but this new xehanort voice is awesome too! Nemoy is still number one in my heart but you gotta admit this new voice actor did “remarkably well” as Xehanort.
Seriously it's almost like the way Kairi takes Sora's form and Keyblade to beat Xehanort is SE's way of saying "Lol Kairi is weak without Sora, don't be silly".
Ikr. I see people complaining about Sora stealing Kairi's spotlight, and that this was suppose to be her moment. And I do agree that Kairi should have a moment of badassery, but I have to point out something. Even if Sora didn't get summoned and even though this wasn't the real Xehanort, you all are acting like Kairi had a chance to win. I'm being realistic, Kairi literally has NO chance against Xehanort at her current skill level. Xehanort far outclasses and outmatches Kairi in Power and Magic and although, yes, Kairi did do very well in the initial battle and this is not the real Xehanort, it is clear from the exchange that Xehanort was merely toying with Kairi and not putting any real effort into their battle. Although you might disagree, Kairi would NOT have won against Xehanort if it wasn't for Sora. And you seem to be forgetting something about Kingdom Hearts, it's that the whole concept of the series is that my friends are my power, literally and spiritually. It's about having friends at your side at every ordeal and not doing anything alone.
pretty sure kairi loses to pretty much any serious villain. MAYBE she can take some of the weaker organization members but any incarnation of xehanort really will wipe the floor with her

"I have had enough of this!" - The angriest I've ever heard Kairi and probably my favorite line in this cutscene. Kairi gets so little room to talk and develop her character that it's actually refreshing to listen to her interact with an enemy directly. Pretty much all of her lines in the past games are very small monologues and responses to other people talking to her. When she actually gets to speak her mind, show anger or a powerful resolve, use clever techniques such as the fake-out attack during this cutscene, That's when Kairi's character starts to shine. And then Sora shows up and steals her spotlight. Makes me picture someone Else at SE is writing this scene and then Nomura walks up and is like "You know, this actually isn't that bad. Let me just make one small adjustment." and boom, Sora appears.

The fact that people were annoyed that Kairi, who has less than a year of training nor even had her keyblade for more than a year, was unable to beat Xehanort, who had 70+ years of experience and managed to beat King Mickey (who has 10+ years more training and experience than Kairi) and Sora who is a prodigy and possibly the strongest keyblade wielder alive (who mind you only got beaten by Xehanort at first cause he acted in emotion and wasn't clear headed due to grief and exhaustion having just fought in every fight in the Keyblade Graveyard). Oh course Kairi wasn't going to beat him, she is a badass glass cannon and had tons of potential and obvious talent already but lacks the skill gained through experience like Sora and Riku to develop quicker than others who were trained traditionally. Kairi managed to fight and even seemed like a challenge to Xehanort at points and I am so proud of her for that, but she can't go running into fights with more experienced fighters like Xehanort or the possibility of dangers in Quadratum with Riku without getting battle experience first.
It ticks me off so much when Xehanort just grabs her keyblade and she just tries to pull it away. Even when YX did it with Sora in toy story world, it’s soooo annoying! They can summon the keyblade and make it disappear! Why aren’t you guys doing that?!
Most likely because Kairi has very little actual combat experience. She first got her keyblade at the end of KH2, fighting heartless shadows, the level of heartless Sora was fighting back at the beginning of KH1. Then she was sent to Merlin for some training and the only opponent she had was Lea. She looks like she's a technical fighter, sticking to the "rules" of fighting, whereas Sora and Riku are largely self-taught fighters who developed their own techniques and tricks. Kairi looks like she's currently at where Sora was at the end of KH1, or close to the end. She has some training but no real hard fought experience the way her boy does. But her getting training with Aqua will likely change all that.
As I can see, the series continues to jump the shark. Way to go making Kairi a total wimp in her own game. If a rookie Sora can lay the smackdown on Xehanort in KH1, why can't she? At least Christopher Lloyd is cool (though I really think he should be his own character and Doc Harris should be Xehanort).

Why are people mad that kairi didn't win against the one of the strongest characters in the series, The entire point of this game was a recap, a gateway to a kairi game and to show the 3 keys to summon sora, If he didn't show up, there would be no point to this game and no Kairi game cause she would not be needed, I want a kairi game too but we were told that this wasn't a kairi game
its them fighting as one like when riku became ansem or when xehanort took over terra or heck when vanitas merged with ven so why shouldn't kairi and sora be able to do the same thing its not that comp;icated
Because that guy isn't the real Xehanort. He's more akin to a manifestation made up by Kairi's psyche as she's searching through her heart/memories where she hopes to find a clue where Sora is. Kairi's not actually here, nor is Xehanort, nor the Final World. It all takes place in Kairi's Heart. So Sora showing up is fine. But not to the point of overtaking what is Kairi's fight IMO. To me, just the Kingdom Key showing up in Kairi's hand would have been enough, like how Terra and Ventus' keyblades protected Aqua in the realm of Darkness.
After seeing everyone get keyblades I started questioning wth is even special about the kingdom key anymore. I ended up concluding that since it chooses its master- it's the only keyblade that can be summoned back at will. By this, I mean most keyblade wielders should only be able to summon their keyblade not return it back if someone else decides to steal it. Take for example the boss fight between sora and Roxas in KH2- in that boss fight, sora can steal oathkeeper and oblivion from Roxas. Roxas can't summon them back either when Sora does it- he needs to physically steal them back. He's even surprised at the end when cornering sora when sora decides to summon his keyblade back from being trapped by Roxas with Oathkeeper. He's shocked as in his mind Sora shouldn't be able to do that. But after seeing this fight between kairi and xehanort and seeing her do the same thing that I thought the only sora could do as the keyblade's chosen makes me think there acc nothing special about the kingdom key anymore- a matter of fact its utter shit cause no other keyblade chooses its master the way the kingdom key does. Take for example kh1 when riku-ansem steals the kingdom key from sora. Because no other keyblade chooses its master its not possible for other keyblades to decide that their wielder isn't good enough and stick to the next best user for it but if the kingdom key finds someone "better" to wield it- it will fucking ditch sora in a heart beat like it did in kh1. The kingdom key is a dick.

At least Lea was shown to be just as bad if not even worse at utilizing the Keyblade in the war then her. He too has a long way to go.
@@UchaNekome Yeah, and i seriously thought that even though he is a beginner as a keyblade wielder, his past as an assassin in the organisation would grant him better fighting ability, guess not

I was mad that Kairi ended up being pretty useless in KH3 but this was dope. Now just give us a training arc with Aqua.

YOU CAN DO IT!
It’s Christopher Lloyd from back to the future
I absolutely love Christopher Lloyd as Xehanort. Nimoy's great but I feel like Lloyd is the quintessential Xehanort.
Same. This is basically as close to either Judge Doom (Roger Rabbit) or Merlock (from Ducktales) as we'll get at this point
Seriously it's almost like the way Kairi takes Sora's form and Keyblade to beat Xehanort is SE's way of saying "Lol Kairi is weak without Sora, don't be silly".
Ikr. Ik she cannot defeat an evil dark master by herself, even in her memories, and she'll need help, but the Kingdom Key appearing in her hand to guard her without her knowing felt like a perfect enough symbolism. She could have fought in her body with the help of Sora's Keyblade in hand, that way it would feel more natural, she's learning and going at it while Sora's still awaiting her though alternative means
@@lowhp_comic I agree with that.
I don't feel that it's gonna be like that, they showed sora in her imagination because she feels that she can't defeat xehanort alone, that she still needs training and that's why in the ending she didn't go with Riku and said that she needed to become stronger under Aqua's teachings, both Kairi and Lea lost right away in the Keyboade Graveyard, their training wasn't good enough to handle the bigger threats, I'm pretty sure she's gonna find her own strength, this game was just to show Kairi's state of mind evolve bit by bit and show what's gonna happen in the future
@@ricardocardoso1001 I like that. This is her memory. Her mind. Sora could take her over because she’s not confident in her own powers and abilities. She still feels that she needs Sora to protect her. I do believe that we will get a Kairi game in the future. But MoM was amazing

The only time they let her do smth and they face her against the main antagonist is crazy

Kairi vs Xehanort

@@laststrike4411 Yeah. Sora was a fresh Keyblade wielder and yet he soundly defeated Ansem in KH1. Then he beat the crap out of the Organization members at Castle Oblivion, and then, only a year later, he finished off the rest of the Organization and took down Xemnas.

WAIT if Kairi was in soras heart in Kh1 final mix then she is A SORA IN MOM
Kairi is my name 😳
Vlad is a name for all birds like dream clown I'm dream clown net hahahaha😮
Kairi can't even beat Xehanort IN HER DREAMS.... smh
Why should she?
