- The final boss fight of Kingdom Hearts 3 Master Xehanort without taking damage on proud mode. I'm continuing my tradition of making a video like this for every main Kingdom Hearts game. My Xemnas kh2 video is the most popular video on my channel. There aren't many challenging fights in this game, but Xehanort is one of the few that I find to be somewhat difficult. No damage was not very easy either because of the last phase and the crazy desperation move. This fight is pretty cool, but I prefer the final boss of kh2 more. I included the Ending, Epilogue, and Secret Ending as well. There's a timestamp below for anyone looking for a specific fight or ending.

Can we take a moment to appreciate that Donald and Goofy can actually do damage to bosses in this game AND stun them out of an attack for an opening?
can we take a moment to pay attention to most allies being so op, they can do the bos for you no problem? like roxas and xion killed saix in no time, while i was rolling and laughing about how much damage they deal.
DrOinkman Only roxas kills saix. Xion prefers to stay next to sora and support him rather than go for saix on her own like roxas. She will only attack him if sora is close too.
You can actually easily win the first phase of that battle by doing Nothing, too (not even healing yourself). Kairi and Lea are actually strong enough to take on Xion and Saix before you die.
Yeah, Kairi and Lea. Those two. They can handle the whole boss fight.On proud mode. No typo here. The game is actually that easy.

Saving Kairi has a consequence and Sora aknowledges and accepts that. In turn, saving him might also have a consequence

Lol well....actually due to Dark roads ending.....it was actually fortold that the Child of destiny, would also rewrite destiny 😅 so therefore, it still technically was destiny that Sora go back an rewrite the fates of everyone, including Kairi lol. So....it was never really Kairis destiny to die there. But also, what Sora was really saying was. It’s not fair to *control* peoples destiny, which is what Xehnaort wanted to do. Create a world which HE thought would of been best for everybody.
Xehanort tried to be the sole controlling factor of what happens to literally everything, and ultimately failed.
Sora succeeded in helping things along in a positive way by being just one part of something bigger than himself.
It's not "you shouldn't change destiny". It's "you shouldn't try to go full dictator on all of existence, because it just doesn't work".

the real reason sephiroth wasn't in this game: Xehanort was using his moveset.
Really interesting but he could have came in handy against master Xehanort but isn't he still fighting Cloud in another world. Cloud is basically the one that can destroy the darker half of himself

Can we appreciate that Donald and Goofy will stay by Sora's side to the very end? The fact that they came with him to give one final fight, not Riku or Kairi, but the ones that went on a journey with you since the beginning.

The reason KH3 took so long to come out:
The team had a hard time translating Donald's quacks.
I love how this fight is segmented: land, sea and sky for the destiny trio
Such pleasure to see someone who doesn't make me question if there is a guard command in the game.
I have watched so many people not bother to block a damn thing i thought they removed it from KH.
You can even block midair, that's amazing.
Why bother to block anything? I didnt and beat the game lol the game doesnt make you block so why would you?

You gotta really time them blocks tho alot of the time I would try to block and it wouldn't let me or I would still get hit because you really gotta be on point with the blocks.
you need to stay still to press a block or you end up doing an evade. i'm mostly running around or doing a dodge.
If Square Enix is seriously trying to convince me this is the last we'll see of Xehanort, here's my only response.

@@keeganlafferty1395 Honestly I feel like this game pulls a lot from Undertale. Its the only one in the series where Sora dies multiple times, but due to Kairi's love and his own determination, he keeps turning back time again and again to get stronger and rewrite the timeline. No other Kingdom Hearts game does this.

@Ramen Forever I do wish it did it slightly different. Like it's in a cutscene, so you know that's the way it's supposed to happen (KH doesn't do "special cutscenes" for failure, it just gives you the retry screen). Instead, they should have made him do a bunch of attacks with invincible frames that are unblockable and literally take out all your health then do a mega blast to take you out, so that you actually THINK you were killed in battle by the game's battle mechanics.
THEN do the fake out.

R.I.P Rutger Hauer and R.I.P Lenord Nimoy. This role must of been cursed. I really wasn't a big fan of his voice from Rutger but it still is sad that he passed.
I think it takes heart to try and take up the mantle from someone as renowned as Lenoard Nimoy so even though the voice doesn't excactly fit it still is pretty awesome that Rutger went ahead and did it.

The music when Xehanort gives his “connections” speech-very Rachmaninoff. It is so obvious Shimomura had her own final boss music in mind. Nomura had specifically requested she make “Dearly Beloved” sound like Liszt’s “Transcendental Etudes.” From this cutscene music, it seems like the true final boss music would have been structured around “Xehanort’s theme” with some “Destati” for good measure-and likely “Dearly Beloved” since they complement each other musically. Such a missed opportunity.
On another note, the facial animations for Sora and Xehanort in that scene are fantastic! And the way his fingers twitch so independently, it’s almost lifelike.

Speaking off Goofy's Japanese VA passing away, apparently he's the 2nd voice actor from the Japanese version of KH3 who passed away, the first was actually Koji Tsujitani (Woody's Japanese voice actor in KH3), who just passed away in Oct. 2018, just 3 months before the game came out.

Prye Magruta Yes! I thought I was alone. It’s one of the best pieces in the game imo and I hope they include it on the album. It sounds very much like Shimomura, and to me it indicates that she may have had her own final boss music for Xehanort in mind. You can hear his theme in this piece, almost like a funeral dirge.

First time doing this fight I was in complete shock when Donald and Goofy were calling for Sora through my playstation controller. I loved it so much, made that final fight so much more!

my first time fighting Master Xehanort.. i cannot remember how many times i have died, probably less than 50, but i was freaking happy and crying in tears for finally beating him. this was the fight that will always be my favorite in the KH series

Young Xehanort's voice is soothing when he's not being a body stealing jerk. XD
The fact you ended the fight with both Donald and Goofy having low health somehow makes it more epic. It helps that this game finally included “critical” portraits of party members as a nice detail. Really emphasize how exhausting the fight was against Xehanort.
For anyone confused or upset by Xehanort's seemingly different motivations, he didn't switch from being obsessed with darkness to being obsessed with light; he knew perfect balance between the two forces was impossible with the way the world is now, what with so many Disney villains (a.k.a. "the weak") trying to exploit the power of darkness and disrupting the balance, so he decided to destroy it all, leaving nothing but a blank, white void where he could rebuild all of existence from scratch.
Actually, no. Xehanort's motivation up until this scene was understood to be a pursuit of knowledge. He didn't have the noble goal of resetting the world to purge darkness, or the ambition to rule over a perfect world of his own creation- he was simply curious to see what would happen if Kingdom Hearts was unleashed again.
"We know so little of the Keyblade War- only that it was just the beginning. Amidst that crisis a precious light was found. It is a curious tale- and one worth exploring. They say ruin brings about creation. So what, then, would another Keyblade War bring? When the darkness falls, will we be found worthy of the precious light the legend speaks of? *I must have these answers*. He didn't want a perfect world. He was driven by nothing but curiosity: an obsession to know what was within Kingdom Hearts; what was the connection to the Keyblade War; and what would happen if it a second war were to occur. That's what made him dangerous, he was driven mad beyond reasoning by a need for knowledge. Nothing mattered to him except forging the X-Blade to open Kingdom Hearts, and nothing could stop him from pursuing it.
That is why the sudden switch to misguided wannabe-saviour at the very last minute, doesn't make sense. Not once in the entire saga does he express wanting to give the world a second chance; not once does he announce an ambition to rule the world; not once does he even allude to his motivation being at all noble, or comment on the morality of his means. It's just a huge misstep in the writing to try turn him into a sympathetic character at the last second.

I can jive with his "new" motivation, because it isn't really new. It's a logical progression of an experiment, if you think about it. He had his war and drew the conclusions he needed from it. And now that he concluded that there was no way to create balance, he decided to reset everything. I think it makes sense.

I like that Donald and Goofy were there in the end, but I still think it would’ve been dope to show like the “auras” of every other friend he made along the way. It would have been a sweet way to show tribute to the original game where he makes his whole speech about friendship to Riku.

In spite of flaws in KH3, this is the best dark mad-crying emotional climax battle ever after Darren Shan's Cirque De Freak and Devilman Crybaby. I never felt this for a long time. :(

To anyone who still hasn't done so yet, I recommend watching the cutscenes for "Kingdom Hearts: Dark Road" and then come back to this scene. It made me sympathize with Xehanort.
Music at 26:38 is one of the most majestic melodies in KH don't @ me.

Main disappointment for this game is that Kairi, who was hyped being the next guardian of light in DDD, had all the training time she had with Lea, and being a princess of heart with a keyblade, was not beneficial to the story in any way that seemed major. She did help him by hoping he would not give up to retain his form, after he almost dies, but nothing that could help turn the tides on the conflict. I wanted her to at least be playable once. Everyone who's heart is connected with Sora's has been playable, even Donald and Goofy, but never once has Kairi been playable in the entire series...
Feels like Nomura really rushed this just wanted this saga to end. Feel like he's more interested in the MoM etc lore. TBH so am I. MoM is the one that set everything into motion is way more interesting

What is everyones opinion on Master Xehanort Scala Da Caelum palace in the video because I have never seen anything like this before. It's beautiful but has this been where Xehanort hideout was at. He has been hiding in a lot of places so is this is secret base Sora riku, king mikey, donald goofy, and the rest ever knew about. I never heard of scala da caelum before. @@incrediblefunk7220 opinions are opinions. Apples to oranges. I loved KH2’s ending and still do; but prefer this one way more as it actually concluded the story of all these characters and not just Sora’s like KH2 did. But opinions are like assholes; everyone has one.

The prequel of KH3 was DDD for 3DS on 2012. Not so much time since then.
@@Raiken132 The problem was that every single one of the spinoffs they made between 2 and 3 just _had_ to fit into the story somehow, and that's why the story is the infamously convoluted mess it is now. If it came out any earlier, the ending wouldve been much more satisfying.

Remember how DDD No Damage runs are almost nowhere to be seen? BBS dependent on constant iFrame abuse to get no damage?

Lyrai Celestine DDD was a joke. There were no competent mechanics to warrent a no damage run. BBS did have them. KH3 is way to easy so the no damage isnt a good thing imo
@@jangaman7823 Easy or not, what I'm saying is that it's an improvement. Osaka team has certainly matured in some regards.
I don't think difficulty is the reason for a "no damage" run... the biggest factors is the ability to dodge/block, punish the boss, and know when to stop attacking so you are not too greedy. As far as I am aware, BBS had bosses break out of combos for no reason, and DDD the bosses didn't seem to stagger at all.
@@shade3385 Exactly my thoughts. KH3 made sure enemies have stagger and revenge value just like KH2, and it worked very well to ensure consistency and eliminate unfair difficulty for every players.
