Excellent, please do some more with this wonderful lady. Such clear explanations of why she does things in a particular way. I have never done any flower arranging - I've just put a whole bouquet in a vase so this has opened up a whole new hobby for me
gillian bc Thank you so much Gillian! Cindy was an absolute pleasure to work with, and we hope to get to do more videos with her in the future! She is one amazing lady. If you haven't checked out her Facebook page (The Succulent Perch), you should! It's a huge source of inspiration for me! ~Laura
Omy Laura this was 6yrs ago and look at you now!!!! You are so nice letting others get a video with you! She had to of been soo excited that you chose her to be on your show!!! Getting to see your accomplishments and grow is really neat!!
This was a wonderful lesson! I never thought of combining fresh flowers w/ succulents. I also like natural looking arrangements & this one seems like the Japanese assymetrical style I learned in the past. Loved this -- thank you, ladies!
Yes, please, more videos with Cindy! I'm wanting to learn about using succulents with fresh flowers for our church as a sustainable resource. This is the best tutorial I've seen by far--and I look forward to being able to "recycle" the echiveria. Thank you!
WOW!!! So pretty! Would love to make a bunch of these and give them out to all the special ladies in my life! My daughter in law, soon to be daughter in law, my sister in law and of course my mother in law. It feels so good to be taught how to make something so beautiful. Thank you two beautiful lovely ladies for sharing this inspiring, creative video!
Laura, this was so informative! I always wondered how florists were able to incorporate succulents into cut flower arrangements! They both came out beautifully! Great job and thank you both for sharing!
Great video, and beautiful centerpieces! Can you list the materials that were used? (wire, tape, flower food, different greens and flowers and succulents, etc)
I watched the beginning of this video back six years ago but I didn’t finished it ,I felt so bad for the poor succulents 😂😂 I didn’t know what I knew now 🤦♀️
Amanda Welch succulents are super hardy and propagate easily. It will probably grow new roots if you put it back in soil and take careful care of it, but a better idea is to just pop off all the leaves (except 2-3 in the centre) and propagate each one of those as new plants. The stem will recover faster into a full plant without having to support all the leaves as well.
Suprisingly most succulents will last several months without water or growing medium. When the leaves start to get thin is a sign its time to plant them. And yes you can replant them. I have had succulents like this for up to 8 months.
For those of you who are upset about cutting the root system of the succulents it doesn't hurt them ! First they will last several MONTHS like this and then you can simply remove the succulent and plant it. Succulents are very hardy and very easy to replant.
Wonderful video! I am planning to add succulents to my daughter's wedding bouquets and table arrangements and this video was enormously detailed and helpful, I now believe I can do this! How far in advance would I be able to prepare and stem by succulents prior to adding to the flowers before the wedding?
Ronda Van Dyk You could cut and prep the succulents a couple days before, but I would do it as close to the event as possible. Thanks so much for watching our video! ~Laura
Absolutely loved watching this video. Very informative. But the background music wasn’t so much in the background. Would have been better if there wasn’t any music.
That's cute but how long do the succulents live after that? I don't really 'dig' the idea of destroying the succulents to make something pretty. Every time I'd look at how pretty it is I'd think about it dying.
***** Have you any idea as burning hot glue? I have no doubt that the plant may survive independently at all, it is a succulent, BUT That of putting hot glue on it is very rather unorthodox, do not you think so? :(
Cindy has such a calming voice! Love the arrangement!!
Laura, I love your facial expressions as you were attempting to follow her.

Absolutely beautiful and a great learning experience....Thank you!
Beautiful well done Laura
How long do the succulents survive on the wires? Do they recover if put into a soil mix or is there too much damage to the stem to survive at all?

I’ve never seen Laura chew gum before, idk why Laura just doesn’t strike me as a gum chewer.
AMAZING!!!!

Anyone see Laura's face light up when the lady talked about using the roses...

Although the arrangements are beautiful, there is no reason to treat those beautiful succulents that way!!

Snippers😂😂
Poor succulents! :( Pretty but..........
***** Have you any idea as burning hot glue?
I have no doubt that the plant may survive independently at all, it is a succulent, BUT That of putting hot glue on it is very rather unorthodox, do not you think so? :(
***** jajaja sorry, I confused response to another video of this girl. She used the hot glue and apparently I continue traumatized by that, lol.
No deben maltratar asi a las plantitas.Mal hecho.
The caption seems computerised and not helpful. Infact it's coming in the way of the activity happening on the table.
Turn them off then
succulent slaughterhouse. A pretty arrangement, but....sad.
Your not hurting the succulents at all ! They will last several months like that and then can easily be replanted.

Gorgeous!
