I think Jack is the whole package. He should win this Season
It’s refreshing to see such a genuine natural pure musician. Approach to this one reminds me a bit of the Lumineers.
The fact you can see how much he feels each note makes me love him more. He is incredible.
Jack killed this song!! When I saw what he was singing I thought he made a bad choice. Man did he prove me wrong!! Lol
Normally I'm against the stereotypical, stationery, guitar playing winner, but allow me to describe why Jack should win: Diversity. Diversity of performances and diversity of traits.
PERFORMANCES: I don't recall him singing the same genre twice yet. In my head it goes Rainbows (ballad) to some (Country) song I forgot to Post Malone (Rap/Rnb) to Bob Dylan (Folk) to The Weeknd (Club/EDM). No other contestant is quite matching this.
TRAITS: RASP like (Will, Kaibrienne?, and Mckenna)
VULNERABILITY like (Emmy and Kayko)
STYLE in his song arrangements like (Abi)
The likeable GUITAR thing like Triston
Does a great job with PITCH much like (Mia)
Enough POWER to not get completely washed out by a powerhouse like (Julia) and what some like Kayko are lacking in my opinion.

What is wrong with the judges? They’d been trying to get rid of Jack since day one. They acted like his song was terrible, when it was actually one of the best songs of the night. They were oohing and awing over some pretty terrible performances.

He's definitely the most unique of the bunch with a strong voice.
Still on the Blocker Train! He sang that song and owned it. He’s unpredictable when it comes to song interpretation, and the way he delivers the vocal. He’s exciting to watch, and to all the complainers about Jack not deserving to be in the top 10, well, sorry that your favorite didn’t make it. He’s one of a few who keeps you locked in, from start to finish.

Sunday’s show was better (as a whole group) than tonight which shows everyone cannot be perfect every night. The only reason Jayna is not in the top ten (and Will Mosley is) is that AI just does not have a big following by the black demographic. Triston, Jack and Mia are still my favorites but Jayna had the best voice of anyone, she was terrific! Not that anyone cares, but if Will wins instead of Triston, I will scream fix.

It's fine to not like a rendition, but it was an interesting take on autotuney club music like the weeknd. I feel Jack is able to push clean notes and rasp in his performances while using great dynamics, which entertains me personally. That's an honest answer as to why someone else like him, if you care.
@@RednGone bingo! Jack goes for an old folk take on things with very artful choices. I loved his rendition better. He takes and old folk vibe and makes it more contemporary somewhat like the Civil Wars did or the Punch Brothers. Or even Watchhouse. He is at a different level from the others in my opinion. Whatever happens he has a career out of this.
@@bearnpici haha, thanks. Not familiar with literally any of those, I'll have to check them out! My favorite thing on idol is the new takes you get on songs. Favorite contestants tend to be ones that make me see songs a new way. His version of Rainbow I've added to the rotation for sure.

Man, I was a huge Abi fan at first, but every single song of hers is the exact same. Her voice is amazing, but it's not as interesting as this guy's anymore
Jack has beautiful vocal ornaments, but needs to step away from his guitar and 🎤 just sing. The audience needs to see his showmanship like Kayko and Roman has! Kayko and Jack will most likely beat out Will and Tristan because they can sing several genres well! Kayko also plays the piano 🎹, so he might shine ✨ brighter if he gets behind the keys.
I’m not sure I agree. I don’t think the advice from Luke to work the stage is what everybody really needs to do. I don’t mind Abi behind the piano or Jack behind his guitar - it is what they do and represents who they are. They performances don’t suffer from it. Now this advice might be good for someone whose singing isn’t all that great and so showmanship must make up the difference. I put Luke in that category actually.

This was honestly his weakest performance so far. It was just okay. His facial expressions is back which I don't like. He was way better on Sunday night.

His mouth is so distracting!!!!!! Hes great but i cant get past the mouth stuff.
Why is that? I’m not troubled by it at all. His singing is just wonderful. I see he has worked to overcome some of his mouth movement but it will take time. And I prefer some emotion and facial expressions to none at all or simply a smiling pretty face.

This was one of the absolutely WORST COVERS I HAVE HEARD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. What a HORRIBLE song choice! And yet the panel praises him? Anyone who sings, plays an instrument has to agree this was a DISASTER! So slow, plodding, lifeless and whiny!

Absolutely loved it. Jack is able to really make a song his own as though he wrote it. This level of style and command of his vocals is really outstanding and rare for AI. His inflection and choices with sometimes a rasp and sometimes clear tone, his ability to play with timing all adds a sophisticated dynamic quality. He really feels the music and interprets it his own way. I’m glad he isn’t just trying to do a copy of what someone else already did. And frankly the judges pointed this out as well. He is a great artist and has his own signature style.
