@@themodifiedlife2774 It's lighter than the Moto 10, fairly similar fit (no hot spots for me when compared to a ATR-2), similar on ventilation (Moto 10 is maybe a bit better)
I hope the shell size is smaller. The old helmet shell shape was way too big and bulky. The price is ludacris!!! The industry keeps pushing the common man out of the sport.
They kept the price pretty much the same.. Have you priced a brain injury? You might want to consider that too.. probably much easier to rack up $1M in medical bills on a ventilator for a bit than you would think!
You guys really need to look closely at the acceleration graph… not only did the ATR-3 reduce the amount of peaks and valleys on the build up to climax impact, it did so with a substantial reduction of overall impact forces transferred into your brain. Most important part of the bike is the helmet. You’ll never be able to convince me otherwise. If this thing was $2000 it would be worth it. I agree that getting the absolute safest helmet on more peoples heads we need to re. Maybe 6D should’ve been the one they got famous and not stupid fucking MIPS. Then maybe they would be able to be a lot cheaper
Feel like all these $700+ helmets are only owned by ppl that get them for free. I'd like a nicer helmet than the $100 Fly helmet I bought in 2014 (10 years ago) but it still works fine, plus my '94 Toyota pickup 4x4 doesn't even have an airbag so it'd be hard to drop over $300 on a helmet lol
This is a premium safety product. I’d look into a cheaper helmet with mips. For example Bell has one around $200. If you look at the 6d charts the mips systems still perform pretty well so you’re getting good value for your money.
Dad always said if you have a 100 dollar brain buy a 100 dollar helmet. Definitely time to upgrade if you have a helmet from 2014 my guy. You can get modern MIPS helmets like an alpinestar sm8(which is the same as their $800 sm10) for $2-300 on sale.
Kudos to 6d for making the most advanced MX lid on the market! Gloss carbon black OMG!!!!!
Looks smaller. BUT, who cares in the name of safety. You only get ONE brain. 6D started the helmet revolution.
love my atr-2. Only complaint, they need cooler graphics/colors.
Agree, the only reason I did not go with a 6d
I bought the ATR-2 in 2022 for $750+ I believe. Time to pull out the wallet again.
Its good for 2 more years. You got that ?
Great. I just purchased the at2… last week
Their prices have always been the highest and they never go on sale. Even their sale price is more than most manufactures
It’s hard to put a price on top tier protection for your body. Especially your brain.
How was the air flow? This helmet seems like a bell Moto 10 😂 I’m bought to purchase one and may consider this one
Air flow was excellent, especially in the brow area. We rode in it shortly after this interview.
@@vitalmx how did it compare to the bell Moto 10?

I ordered one
Great looking new design. I’d easily spend this kind of money to protect my brain. Can’t replace it.

did you even watch the video?

Oh my god I know helmets are expensive but $800?
That’s how much the Fly formula S is, I wanna say the shoei is $740. High end helmet prices are wild.
If bell moto 10 and alpine star sm10 had a baby
