I just upgraded to this machine from the very first version, wanted to know if there was a way to change settings between 'load media' & 'load cutting mat'?
Uhh that's a good question. I have my settings on auto and that always worked out fine when I was cutting the vinyl without the mat. The machine was able to pick on that pretty well. If I understood your question correctly, those settings can be changed in the Silhouette Studio on _Page Setup_ - _Design Area Setup_ - there you have a bunch of options to choose. But I have never dealt with the previous versions, so I don't really know the difference... sorry I was not able to help you more :)
@@Seamstressed thanks for your response I think I figured it out. The cut area is different for media than it is for the mat There is a setting right where you suggested to look, that allows you to 'constrain media to cutting mat' That looks like it solved the issue I was having.
You asked if anyone knew how to manage the threads on your mat when you use the Rotary cutting blade. Just the other day I was watched this video with the answer. She explains HOW towards the end of the video. She very often has the answers we ask. Looks like your off to a great start learning your new machine. In time you will learn how to make adjustments and get the cuts your looking for! Enjoy!!! ua-cam.com/video/MxOBlfNP_gk/v-deo.html

Great to hear that! I'm glad you found a solution that worked out 😄
Does this machine have a Bluetooth dongle at the bottom of it how the Cameo 4 has?
It has integrated bluetooth, but the connection is very choppy
The best way I find to clean those sticky things is with a lint roller , but either way new to the channel and you are hilarious
Thanks for the tip and thank you for watching! I am glad you enjoyed it hehehe
I'll go lint roll my mats now :D
🤣🤣🤣🤣. I love it.
thank you!!!
7:18 i saw someone clean their mat with a layer of epoxy resin. let it dry. peel it off
Epoxy resin? wow... that seems like a lot of satisfying trouble lol

You're awesome! Thank you so much!!
Easiest way to clean the mats are alcohol free baby wipes
thank you so much! I need to try it out eheheheh
@@Seamstressed just scrub really good and let hang to dry overnight. They're just like new in the morning.
That’s what I used for years for my Cricket mats.
