*Love this unit! Using upstairs in my sons bedroom **Fastly.Cool** and he’s finally able to be comfortable upstairs without me freezing downstairs. Works for more sqft than expected!*
For those who have tried this product, please post your pros & cons. Because this unit uses traditional fan blade style computer cooling fans, I'm thinking it's either going to have to be noisy to move a fair amount of air - or it won't move much air in an effort to keep it quiet. Too bad it doesn't employ a centrifugal fan which is much quieter for any given amount of air flow.
We purchased one of these for our son’s room and it works great!! We just had to finally replace our 18 year old furnace and payed more for a newer (?) feature - new to us anyway. What this furnace feature does is has a fan to help recirculate or keep circulating air through out the house to help balance out between our finished basement, the main floor and upstairs. Unfortunately, the builder of our home (we’re the 2nd owners) only put in ONE furnace, a.k.a.(single zone) instead of two zones. Our home is between 4800-5000 sq feet. We’ve had dual zones in smaller houses. we were really surprised there is only the one. Easy to control/change temperature . Yes, I would recommend this device!! I’m
It doesn't heat or cool, it inserts into the existing duct hole, and it works by pulling the air out of the ducts, with the aide of fans, and blows it out into the room. I have a room up on our second floor that is quite some distance from the basement blower therefore suffers from a lack of forced air out of the ducts into the room and i bought this device hoping it will help to draw more heated or cooled air from out of the duct work and into the room where it is needed.
Dont appreciate the sneakyness of skipping the high fan speed sound. Obviously done on purpose. Hint, people dont like to do business with sneaky people...
I am Considering buying this device, has anyone purchased one and tell me if it works? I live in a condo in her living room gets freezing cold in our bedroom is boiling hot and there's nothing I can do about it I tried closing the other ducts, And the temperature seem to go by maybe 1° I figured maybe you could steal some of the colder that usually goes to the living room by causing a decrease in pressure and deduct leading to the better. Let me know if you have a unit that works or doesn't
It works as they say. Seems to boost the flow of warm or cool air out of the vent. For some reason mine comes on and off a lot between cycles. I want to get it set to only kick on when the thermostat senses the air coming out of the vent.
I'd rather install wireless thermostat( such as Honeywell Redlink thermostat) and move it around the house where you need comfortable temperature). I am not talking WiFi thermostat. Wireless thermostat is potable not mounted on a wall.
Except when your house was built back in the day when no one gave s $#!t. You have an oversize cut hole in the main duct, and it leaks everywhere. Houses now, the main trunks are covered and wrapped with insulation and are less likely to leak. I had to go through every duct in the house that I could reach and seal them all. While it helped a ton, I now have to take down part of the garage ceiling to do the same.

Just wondering how many time he said it fits the standard 6 by 10 and 6 by 12 vents. I don't want it anymore now.
The only size that can possibly work for me is 6 x 11. Damn.
What size register openings does this thing fit?

Nice idea when the last vent happens to be in your bedroom, so the bedroom gets less air
the fan is on high after the edit. look at the light

So exactly how does it "Heat" or does it draw from other rooms through the ducts when the Heater portion of the HVAC is off?

Hi. Did it work for you ?
you took 2- 120 mm computer fans, put them on a register vent.. all this is going to do is minimum to none to help flow air out

Plastic will melt and warp
MIne hasn't yet for seven or more years. We have a gas furnace
and how much would it cost to fix the duct work? your a fail. not many people have thousands to rip out duct and walls
Fail. If proper duct and and system size are in play you do not need this.

Or your house was built by asshats then this isn't a fail, it's a necessity. Closed mind
That's a big "if" there
