I live in a two story townhouse (built in 1957; never designed for central air.) The central air/heater is in the basement. Basement is freezing (when air conditioner is on.) Main floor has the house thermostat, and so main floor temperature is comfortable. But upstairs (2 bedrooms and bath) are 9 degrees warmer in the summer than the main floor with air on (even after I tightly sealed off the kitchen and basement registers with plastic and double sided stick tape.) All 4 units in this townhouse have central air and experience the same thing. Fan blower is REALLY strong. Any suggestions out there, (besides installing a ceiling fan in the bedrooms, re-doing duct work throughout entire house, or installing additional bedroom A/C window units) to get the bedrooms cooler?
I had that issue with my two bedrooms were the sun hit the most . I cleaned my coils. Installed a new filter , cleaned all of my vents , went in my attic and checked ductwork for leaks ( some were poorly connected or ripped) , I replaced a duct . If that doesn’t work you might have to add an extra vent in each room
Can the fans be turned around, as to pull warm air from one room sent through the ducts to another area? I have a wood stove in one room, I'd like to pull that warm air out and sent through the ducts
You can, but some of those devices have to have wires running back to the furnace to trigger it. That, or an inline device that detects the air and provides power.
from what i read not that much 100-150. enough to make a little bit of difference. What they ought to do is put a delta computer fan in. Those blow over 400-500 CFMs but they draw a lot more amps.
If you've ever had a basic window fan with climate knob, you'll know exactly what he was talking about. All he did was adjust the fan's thermostat to just above (for AC) or below (Furnace) the point where it would stay on all the time.
Trailer houses my y0. Nothing you can do about having 6 vents within 15 feet of a unit, and 2 vents 45 feet away. by the time it gets to my master bath and bedroom it has the air pressure of an asthmatic with COPD.
had this for 2 years and STILL can't get it adjusted right? Why did you make it so complicated. How about this, when the heat or ac is on YOU turn on?
I watch the video twice, I am still not understand what they do for the setting? no explanation for every step ?

I'm going through the same exact problem in my house.
Insulation is key
does the furnace or ac have to be on to make the proper adjustments?

No it does not reverse airflow.
Why not have a booster that is controlled by the ac. I'd like to see one that doesn't have to have a separate power source

What is the maximum CFM on this unit?

What in the hell are you talking about? ... turn this turn that, press 3 times here wtf

this guys mouth sounds swollen but good video
beware alot of people don't understand simple things on this page
This wouldn't be necessary if the duct had been designed and installed correctly.

I just had all my ducts replaced. Apparently my air flow is a lack of return air. I can't so anything about that unless I remove a drywall. Sooo.....
This looks unnecessarily complicated
yeah what the hell is this thing
WHAT??????
