Hey , it should be totally fine the roads are perfect and we saw many minivans and camper vans driving around , just be careful in the city it will be difficult in Vienna otherwise anywhere else in Austria it will not be an issue at all
Hey , thank you !! So we booked the car from booking.com they have a car rental section , and through that we booked at Hertz , it is one of the most reliable car rental companies in Europe
Hey , so all the rental cars come with toll tags , something like the fast tag in India , and at the end of our booking we paid the amount to the car rental service.
Thank you for the video, this was very informative! How would you recommend going about driving a rental car from Austria to the Czech Republic? I would plan on making the trip at end of February - beginning of March. Will the weather will be as snowy as featured in this video?
Hey thank you so much , driving from Austria to Czech Republic sounds like a great idea , in fact on our last day in Austria we really regretted not driving till our next destination that was Amsterdam , I think that’s a great plan. Also the snowy roads were only on the high passes and when we were higher in the Austrian alps , otherwise the drive is pretty regular and the road conditions are very good , should be even better in the first week of march for sure 👍🏻👍🏻
Hey , yes you can hire a manual car but what we saw was most of the cars you’ll find in the rental companies are all automatic unless you want a 4x4. However both options will be available if you book it and specify it in advance
Hey , Yes you would need an IDP to drive in Austria. The car rental company would ask you to provide them with a photocopy or picture of the same. Honestly we were not asked anywhere but I would suggest you carry it , just incase of insurance or any other damage it would help
@@AFestivalCalledLife Cool bro! I will also be doing a roadtrip in Germany Austria this oct. Bit concerned about the left hand drive thing. How long did it take to adjust ?
@@rounak_san honestly I was very concerned about the same thing too , but it only takes 10 mins of driving to get used to it , try booking an automatic car so you won’t have to worry about the gearbox being on the wrong hand , rest it’s really great just takes 2 turns to get used to it , also once you leave the main cities the roads are pretty empty , I always say this that once you’ve driven in India you can drive anywhere in the world ☺️
This guy deserves a medal for his well explanation
Thank you 😊
Great video. Thank you

Hey great help. But had a doubt we have not been able to get a 7seater SUV. So the only option is a minivan. Is that fine to drive around with?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the update
How can I get IDP online?
@@rishu6517 not sure about online , but I had to go to the rto to apply and got it within a week
You don't need an International Driving Permit, just your own nation's licence
Thank you for sharing that😊
They requested a deposit of 1200 euro just to cover damages
That’s too high , also if you’re insuring the car you don’t need to pay any deposit
which car did u rent ?
@@rounak_san hey , we rented an SUV , it was an Opel Zafira, very similar to any Škoda SUV
