Beautiful drive, you cross 2 nice mountain passes on the way. Especially the descent from Plöckenpass in Italy is really spectacular, done also the drive 2 times a few years ago, but haven’t filmed the trip. Thanks for the video, greetings from a road tripper from Germany!

Quel trajet ! magnifique traversée de l'Autriche vers l'Italie, avec une conduite agréable ! Les sous-titres suffisent pour savoir où l'on se trouve. Mais quelle sale manie les conducteurs ont de s'arrêter juste un instant au bord de la route, on ne sait pour quel motif, puis de repartir sans aucune explication. C'est une attitude constatable sur nombre de vidéos "Driving". J'aimerais bien avoir un jour l'explication !

Nicht nur die Landschaft ist schön, auch die Kulturdenkmaler am Weg. Besonders zu erwähnen sind die beiden spätgotischen Kirchen in Laas (33:28) und Kötschach (36:42) mit ihren schönen Gewölbefigurationen. Besonders schön zu sehen ist die Mauthener Pfarrkirche, der heutige Eingangsturm war ehemals ein Chorturm (39:45).
Traumhafte Aufnahmen - leider wird der Plöckenpass in alter Strecke vermutlich nie mehr wieder befahrbar sein - mit welcher Kamera wurde das aufgenommen???

That is an impressive route. However the Austrian roads are looking a little stressed with cracks and poor surfaces on the mountains, despite the investment in kms of snow sheds. To put this road over Plockenpass must have cost a lot. I wonder if it follows a historic pack horse trail. The gradient is about right for a horse or 1940's trucks?

ist aber schon älter, der Plöcken ist seit 2.12.2023 gesperrt
"Nachfahren" kann man die zweite Hälfte der Strecke seit dem 1. Dezember 2023 nicht mehr, da durch einen Felssturz die Straße auf der Südseite des Plöckenpasses blockiert und diese nicht unerheblich beschädigt wurde. Bis wann die Strecke wieder befahrbar gemacht werden kann, ist wegen der Instabilität des Felses ungewiss.
