Actually the 2007 is based in PS2 version, and saddly that version is the WORST in terms of textures and details even some gameplay... 2014 is more based in Gamecube/Wii version with some texture modifications to see it better in HD resolutions but still with some issues but not a problem in comparison with 2007 version, the "remake" is just a texture and models mod of the 2014 version with some fixes.
@@SirpixelAnimations As a owner of both Ubi and Steam versions i disagree. And this is from vanilla perspective how i prefer 2007 textures over UHD. The first being the cabins fireplace, where in UHD looks plain brown pricks while in the Ubi it has yellow greyish textures that make it more believable 1:22 Of course we can mod both games. 3:09 is another example how i prefer the transparency of the blue fire in the 2007 version while others are like a floating plasma ball.
the art style of sounds and animations in this game still gives me goosebumps, i love the atmosphere so freaking much. I hope remaster wont let us down...

Just go in with the right expectations. If you are a long-time RE4 fan, then it will never touch the original. We have too much nostalgia for every detail of that game, nothing can touch it. But see this as a new take on a classic game that we all love, a gift for the fans, and you shouldn't be disappointed. You (probably) won't prefer it over the original, but it's gonna be an awesome experience for fans.

I love 2007 RE4, i still have my DVD-ROM, i intalled 3 days ago and i'm playing it again, it supports PS2 USB controller too and it works like a dream !

I just finished playing the 2022 HD project on 4k HDR TV.
Man it's even beyond the HD project in this video.
On 4K HDR its impossible to believe that this game is almost 20 years old. It feels like 4-5 years old game.

8/1/22 installed HD ReWorked Project mod into 2014 Pc RE4 ReMastered + Console tweeker mod ….. Made my favorite game of the Series look Fantastic !! Cheers to all the Modder’s Out there doing Tremendous Work 🥂
The hd project still needs a bit more polishing but they are working on the final 1.1 patch. After that, the 2022 one will without a doubt the best re4 port to date. The re5 like mouse control really does it for me, best addition for me.
more polishing? It looks phenomenal for me. Take into account it was just made by two guys within 7 years with no relation at all with Capcom dude
@@faustovii1085 i know its great but i see a lot of issues and crashing when i played it along with some inconsistencies with models. The devs are working on it and they will release a final patch. They even said so themselves that there are tons of stuff that they will update

@@streeterarp but even with those things the game is flawless from start to finish. Even the original steam version looks “glitcher” than this. The qte issue forces me to switch back to 30 fps. That doesnt happen here and you have no idea how much convenience that is to me.
@@marksantiago9841 were you on unlimited fps? I had no issues even with 60 fps except for rifle reload animation being slowed down. I don't think they can do much for that though.

The 2007 version actually have the graphic mod called Albert Marvin mod and it was good enough to enhance the graphic.

In the 2022 ver. they were cleary adding stuff from the remake. I read that the remake was in development since 2018.

I see you're running the 1.0 version of the 2007 PC port. There was an official patch that fixed the lighting so that it's mostly identical to the PS2 version.
Which by itself, was already broken.
The PS2 version had a bunch of lighting issues when compared to the original GameCube version..

Of course it's a downgrade from the gamecube original version but it's how I experienced the game for a long time and it reminds me of God Hand
This video it's kinda wrong cuz, the 2007 version in this video is the 1.0 version and was fixed with 1.1 PATCH that make the game looks MUCH BETTER, don't get me wrong I like the video and the comparsion but that's what I said it's kinda wrong.
hello, I downloaded the hd ultimate edition version, it works fine for me at 30 fps, when installing this hd project can it lower performance or does it not affect anything?

Somehow Capcom managed to make the 2014 HD edition to look worse then the original PC edition in many cases.
Btw if u add a reshade to the HD Project it will look even better. I use the HDR bloom effect which makes the game beautiful.

Is there a good trainer for the 2007 version? This is the only version my pc run, version 1.1.0 has PS2 effects that takes a lot of performance away.

The story is typically what you wouldn’t want to spoil, however this games story is garbage. The gameplay, atmosphere, and soundtrack are what makes it worth playing. I would say there’s no reason to skip it, unless you can’t handle the old graphics.

Why 2007 and 2014 versions look so drastically different? As if they are 2 separate games.
The 2007 was an infamously bad port that used the low detail models from the PS2 version and also didn't carry over the shading and color grading from the GameCube version. The 2014 release is far, far more faithful to the look of the GameCube original.

where can you get the original 2007 version legally?
Unfortunately you have to buy the retail copy of the game, all 2007 versions of the game is not available for digital purchase anymore. So your other option is pirating, but if you find a physical copy then go and buy it.
The 2005 ultimate HD edition is on steam and it looks way better than all three versions shown in this video

2007 port goes so hard
Unless you are very observant, you do not notice the difference from Ultimate HD to HD Project. I tried and with the movement and action, I did not even stop to observe the improvement in details.
hd project makes the game look uncanny and over sharpened , the ultimate hd edition fits the tone much better
