  • Installed a 3 point hitch for trailer use and maybe a carry all at some point. I will also be using it for a hydraulic tiller. Ruegg hitches can be purchased here. www.rueggmfg.com/ No discount codes though, I'm not that big a UA-cam channel.

    Thanks man! When I got my cat 0 from Ruegg the box contained parts. No BOM, no destructions. Their site sends you to a tractor forum with broken pic links. I’m going to link to your video if that is Ok if I post my 332 mods. THANKS!!!

      Ruegg has good products, but yeah, that why I make videos, because sometimes the instruction provided aren't the greatest and if they are, it's still nice to watch a video going through it. Thanks for the future plug and as always, thanks for watching.

    Love your vid! Hey I have the same tractor, bought a new ruegg cat 1 3 point hitch! In your video when you begin to reconnect that hydraulic shaft at 10:58 through that straight slot which is different from the arched slot from the original rockshaft.. Well I cant get that shaft to move more than 2 inches up or down! HELP!!!!

      So it's possible you may have to adjust the threaded bolt that is above the hydraulic shaft attachment, the one that has the cotter pin at the end of it. I think that should give you more leeway in your movement. In fact, I'm pretty sure mine needs a little adjustment as well to free up more vertical movement. Let me know if that helps. Also thanks for the comment and as always, thanks for watching.

    Cool. I might look into getting a 3pt for the 316 i just got. I have cat 1 and 2 equipment for my b and 520. Definitely too heavy for 316. Gotta do some work on engine and full service then front axle bushing? and weld on my 50" deck to get mine in shape

      Yep, it sounds like you have some work cut out for you. All my 3 point hitches whether for my 1023E or 322's or even 445 when I had one were Cat 1. Of course, some Cat 1 equipment will be too big for a garden tractor to run. But 4' equipment can usually still be worked by a garden tractor, like a 4' tiller or 4' box blade, but with either, you would be on the limit of what a 316 can handle for sure. Thanks for watching.

    Hey I have a John Deere 300 and I was wondering if I could put a 3 point hitch on it

    • @FloridaDeere
      @FloridaDeere  Рік тому +1

      Yes you can, but it is a different style 3 point, here's a link for Ruegg. The one you need is listed under the 140. www.rueggmfg.com/hitchkits.php Thanks for watching.

    Where did you get this 3pt. hitch?

      Sorry I hadn't answered man, not sure how I missed this video until now. Ruegg is the guy who makes them. You can now get cheaper Chinese stuff for a few bucks less, but Bill is a good guy and makes a good product.

    Where do you pick them up at is there a sight that sells them or a store ? Been looking at getting one of these for my jd

      @FloridaDeere  2 роки тому +1

      You can buy super cheap ones now online or eBay that are clearly made in China or buy quality ones from Ruegg Hitches. Most of the garden tractor folks that have one either have an OEM or a Ruegg. www.rueggmfg.com/ Thanks for watching.

    Do you need a rear pto for a 3pt hitch

      @FloridaDeere  Рік тому

      Man, I would love one, but considering I don't have any attachments that would be run by one and that they are cost prohibitive, I don't think I'll ever get one. I'd like to find one on a tractor I buy someday. That seems to be the cheapest way to get them. Thanks for watching Kyle.

    What brand and model is the 3 point hitch you used? I have a JD400 with a Cat 0 3 point hitch, yours look like a Cat 1. Thanks.

    • @FloridaDeere
      @FloridaDeere  2 роки тому +2

      Ruegg and it is a Cat 1. He makes Cat 0 as well if I'm not mistaken. I got Cat 1 simply because all my 3 point equipment has always been Cat 1, so why get a different hitch. He will also sell you parts of one as well. Like if you just need to lower arms for a Cat 1 3 point for the 400, he sell you just those, you don't have to buy the whole hitch. I did that with this hitch, I had the rockshaft and the bottom mounts, I needed the yokes and arms. Thanks for watching.

      @@FloridaDeere At 7:37 it is on screen text, "Please hold all comments on my attire of tie dyed shirts and mandalls". It is not a big deal, I'm just curious what that was.

      @@artszabo1015 😂😂Yes now I know, sandals for dudes. Like closed toe sandals, my wife makes fun of me for wearing not flip flops but mandals, I probably should have left the extra "l" out. I was never a spelling bee champion for sure. Thanks for watching.
