In this tutorial, MusicTech Logic Pro expert Jono Buchanan shows you how to quickly re-shape your arrangements in Logic Pro X without having to use the loop tool or copy-paste functions. If you want to add a new drop, duplicate or remove a section of your track, it's as easy as selecting and using the section editing tools.

Top Notch Presentation - Nice Funk Guitar Song - Super Helpful 💯
so helpful!!!
Glad it was helpful!
My life just became more efficient!! Thanks! I'm wondering if I can insert a measure right at the beginning of my mix and have the automation pushed over with the rest of the data? -About to try it.
Useful! Thanks
You're welcome!
Yeah! I like how you explain this, short and very clear!
this sound goes hard
Did you used to do the video for Future Music a while back? Regardless, I don't think that anybody knows Logic better than you do. Bravo! And thanks
Great info so I if I have a Renate section for my sax tune I could insert a 7 bar gap and then duplicate the part again correct ?
Hi, nice tutorial but also very good music! Is it possible to know where did you find those sounds and the name of the instruments please?
Best from France.
Any tips for inserting blank measures when the song has a lot of tempo/time signature changes from measure to measure?
Never clicked that button! Lol. Are there keyboard shortcuts for those functions too?
Q - How do i get a full screen like yours so i can see and edit all tracks? ty bra
hi, amazing very helpful for me right now. Whats name of the controller with 3 faders in front of you?
Great to hear! The controller is called a Palette - you can build you own kits with it! Palettegear[dot]com is the website.
what key does he use it to cut the audio to the beginning of the track? he just says cut
I find you go a bit too fast at the crucial bits eg.insert as a beginner I don't follow first time round...but after pausing the video to see what you're doing with the mouse I get it.
Overall, truly helpful and exactly the technique I wanted to discover!
Give that beat to Dua Lipa, what a banger, great tips too.
Thanks, ;-)
The thing we've come to learn, you do so quickly it lasts --maybe-- a millisecond.
CMD L will select all within the loop section.
🔥🔥🔥
Did NOT know that was there
Using brand new Logic Pro and nothing I do unlocks this toolbar... Help!
You may have to go to preferences and enable all Advanced Tools. Then, click the box with a downward arrow in the top left, next to Quick Help button. Once the extra toolbar appears, if tools you desire are not there, Control-click in a blank area of the toolbar. This will show a Customize Toolbar pop-up. In there, select the tools you want to see.
@@MusicTechOfficial Got it! Thanks.
@@MusicTechOfficial The only issue now is that when the advanced tools are enabled, the mic opens and I can't figure out how to close it, unless I turn off the advanced tools again.
Hey, I'm only here because your blogs that appear on my Google feed don't allow me to send you a message or email or anything. You recently stated that shure sm7b is notorious for having been used on Michael Jackson lyrics. This is untrue. Michael used the original sm7.. not the 7b. Bruce swedien actually talks about that in his book. I have no idea why everyone believes it was 7b.. it just wasn't.
Great spot! We'll amend the article.
Logic is much more powerful than Audacity but horribly poor ergonomics. Copying & pasting audio files into any section of an audio file in Audacity is as easy in a word processor. Unfortunately it crashes on my Mac so I'm stuck with Logic
How about we don’t listen all the way through
