This is the main reason why I'll be always team hurrem❤️ The way she understand people, she struggled alot but never gave up! Strong people live and weak people die! She's a beauty with Brain ❤️
Aaaah this is such a great scene for Hürrem. While some of her motives for doing her charity work were for personal gain, she did also genuinely want to help people for altruistic reasons because of her own experience. And that is in and of itself so important both thematically and in terms of her characterisation. While in some ways she tried to bury her, Alexandra is still very much a part of who she is.
One of my TONS OF FAVORITE scenes of Hurrem!!! she acted like mother to her nation, especially to the slaves! Proud of her! While the sultanas in the drama only looked down on others below their status, including Hatice.
This is why Suleiman never left her, why he kept her with him all his life, why he married her. It's why she was given the name Hurrem, joyful. She made those she loved smile and laugh. She was genuinely kind and compassionate and did her best to make friends with others and keep them happy. I don't claim she was an angel. She did terrible things but most times she was forced to in defence of both her and her children. People who turned against her were the ones she would destroy completely. In the start, she always tried making peace
This scene always gets me. So beautifully written and performed; this show has its campy, overdramatic moments (arguably more than its fair share) but every so often are these moments of incredible insight, tenderness and humanity. You can tell that the people making the show truly cared about the story they were telling.
Almost all characters in the series have good and bad sides. This applies to Hurrem but also to Ibrahim. He didn't forget his roots either and was a different person when he was with his brother or with cute little Esmanur. No one is born evil, neither Hurrem nor Ibrahim.
I think the issues of enslavement and conversion, along with clinging to Suleiman as their lifeline from it, are part of what make Hurrem and Ibrahim such perfect narrative foils for one another. Even in the first episode, where Ibrahim is considering the consequences of his own conversion, it interposes with shots of Hurrem in the harem, clutching to her cross.
@@chykim1 what was so special about the Sultan apart from being born to the right family and not dying? I feel like this is the first time we really we get to see the real Hurrem. Behind all that anger, entitlement, and bravado was a scared little girl in pain and fear after watching her entire family be murdered. Any good thing she got, she seized with both hands because it could get taken away tomorrow, and any threat to it she wouldn't stop until it was gone.

I've always said that Hurrem's story reminds me of the fictional character Katerina Petrova aka Katherine Pierce from tvd. They were both only 17 when they lost their families and left alone in the world. Katherine had to run from Klaus and Hurrem had to survive in the palace. They both had to do bad things sometimes because if they didn't they would have been dead. No matter what they did, Hurrem honestly loved Suleyman and Katherine honestly loved Stefan. Hurrem was a great mother and Katherine would have been too if her baby wasn't taken away from her by force.
@@jayasmitasmakeup3376 I'm my opinion, Katherine did also things that weren't selfish. She returned back to save damon in 2x22, she really loved Stefan, she went to see Nadia even if she knew she was going to die and she seemed to like Caroline. She just had to put herself first. Anyway, that's just my opinion like I said before.
But, you don't understand the concept of slavery. Katherine was a free woman while Hurrem was a slave. If she didn't end up in the palace her life would be so horrible. She was lucky that Sultan Suleiman didn't drift apart and valued her. Also, she was a kafir so she'd be treated like a non-human.

It's good because Mahidevran forgets that she is also Slave. She always acted like she is born in Dinasty and insults Hürrem for that. Also Ibrahim forgot. He even called himself "Kanuni Sultan" This is why he was killed.

Thought she did many bad things but one thing about her is she never forget her root though she wanted power but she is the only woman who love sultan Suleman holeheartdly thats why sultan lover her so much
Whatever Hurrem’s intentions maybe it is still not right to force a lady to sell her beloved husband’s home which had so many memories. It’s not right to emotionally black mail someone. If she wants to keep it let her.
Intentions were pure, not whatever.. She told her intentions and then left it to that lady to decide.. Obviously no one want to obstruct something that is beneficial to so many people.. When the lady realise how her place will be beneficial to many she decided not to be selfish about it.
@@sadafrafiq5006 regardless of Hurrem’s intentions the lady still has the right to keep that house. It is not selfish it was the late husband’s house. Calling it selfish is not fair. "If You don't look back to where You came from , You'll never arrive to your Destination."
Hurrem Not forgetting where she came from was one of the reasons Why she was loved by the people and how she managed to become a powerful and influential Sultana, that up to this day is still remembered in History as a Powerful figure during the Sultanate Of Women.
Well played Hurrem. Well played.
This dress of hurrem is MAGNIFICENT❤👑
Even her daughter will not never know her pain being slave.😢
When I will saw hurrem sultana... I little bit hate... but to see this scene I felt hurrem sultana not only intelligent but wonderful..... beautiful.... kind heart ..... sultana.....
girl she manipulated that woman 😂
Hurrem ❤❤❤
But still she never misses a chance to taunt Ibrahim and Mahidevran that they are slaves.
You realize it's because of their previous misbehavior with her, right?
And what did Sułtan sisters? They always reminded Hurrem that she was a slave, even after her liberation
It's good because Mahidevran forgets that she is also Slave. She always acted like she is born in Dinasty and insults Hürrem for that. Also Ibrahim forgot. He even called himself "Kanuni Sultan" This is why he was killed.
I cried every time i watched 🥺
The scene is very touching I felt her pain.
Sometimes I think people say she was wrong but they forget this is just a tv show they couldn't really portray the horror and disgust of the slave Industry
Oh god this episode is so emotional❤
This scene makes me cry every time
Daye Hatun; "not a tear in my eye."
😭😭😭😭 *Tear, Tear* 😿😿😿😿
Selalu nangeess terharu lihat scene hurem yang ini 😢😭
❤️❤️❤️ hurem sultana
Thought she did many bad things but one thing about her is she never forget her root though she wanted power but she is the only woman who love sultan Suleman holeheartdly thats why sultan lover her so much
Ah Zavalli kimsesiz Alexandra.. 💔
That's how to be a real Queen.
If the Queen is sharing her personal journey and requesting a common woman do you think she would have a choice? It’s called emotional blackmail and pressure.
@@TheSak7171 may be its your opinion.. But to me personally i would have loved to be part such deed where hundred of ppl are being benefitted..
Meryem Uzerli acting are in another level of hollywood star
She's not a queen.
She's THE QUEEN, in every possible sense of the word! ;)
Love you Hurren
Believe me hurrem was not the villain 💔
Magnificent? No my friends... I would rather call it an empire of sin...emerged out of the cursed system of slavery.... turning so many innocents (like Hurram) into sinners...
4:24 🥺💔😭
I love how most commentators here are trained psychologists😂 it makes the comments' section as interesting as the movie itself
I watch this scene many times 😭😭😭
she’s not evil but ruthless! nevertheless, they’re the one who responsible with Hurem’s acts. they treated her badly just because she’s concubine especially valide (mil) but she prove them wrong and that was epic! from concubine to A Queen.
That wasnt Hurrem speaking it was Alexandra
What a terrific actor she is! ✨
Love this scene 💗💗💗
Hurrem was the ultimate FIRST LADY in a Palace, pitied, admired, hated and beloved for all her good works
If this was in English, she would win an Oscar for this scene.
I don't think MHi reslly loved the Sultsn. I feel like she loved the power he had. People forget she was a slave, too. They treated her like a dynasty member. She chose to ruin Hurrem not for love or loyalty, but for greed.
Real hurrem...
Which episode was this plzz
Can anyone tell me which episode is this
Hurrem taught Suleiman to love and lessened his sexual appetite for other women.
What episode is this on
The poor director is struggling to do some reaction shot. 😂 I think it’s obvious everyone was willing to do a good job. The drop in the script quality paralysed everyone. What reaction shots can he do in an unemotional cold scenario?!
Episode?
The best part ever
