I agree, this bass line is sick and he plays it with precision and the tone is perfect as well… But there’s definitely some crazier things I’ve seen on bass. Les Claypool, Victor Wooten, Jaco Pastorious, Evan Brewer, just to name a few.
This is the definition of a song that takes you back to a specific time in your life. I love the music, the band, and the memories they’ve help to create. I love that I finally get to see a video of the song done live!
Zach is my favorite musician cuz he makes bass guitar beautiful. Playing bass like flea isnt the only way to play. Flea is great and all, but so is this, and Im glad that someone out there plays his bass guitar like this

I was a bass guitarist with the same feeling and my introduction to Pinback has now forever changed the way I play bass and play music. I owe a lot to Zach and his musical abilities and I sure as hell hope that I can meet him one day.

Yes, zach plays bass guitar using full chord progression. Rob _usually_ plays guitar but they have a few songs where he plays bass guitar as well
