Those buildings are amazing 😮. I thought Oxford is only Oxford university, but seems like entire town is amazing. And the fact it’s so accessible from London is great. I would go even if it was a separate trip. Great video!
Nice vid, glad you enjoyed it here in Oxford! I hope you don't mind a couple of friendly corrections from an Oxford resident: It's pronounced 'Maude-- a- lin' college (confuses everyone I know!). And also 'Bod-leian' library not 'bode-leian'. :)
Just back from Oxford, enjoyed every bit of it. We travelled by car and parking is way too expensive in the town. It’s about £6.5 an hour or so in the majority of parkings. We ended up paying £30+ the first day. Next day we bought a city bus tour which was amazing. First you have an audio guide which was very helpful and I’d recommend taking it straight away before you start wondering across the city. Also it allows you to hop on and off the buss any time so basically you get a free, well, nearly free, transport across Oxford all fay long. Busses run every 15 mins and you get a paper map with stops you can get on and off. But what seems to be the most convenient, buying a ticket you get a free parking somewhere not far from the bus route for 16!!! hours. We didn’t know and didn’t use it, but you guys have a perfect opportunity if you read this before the travel. Also make use of of a family ticket if you fit. We also missed it, but could’ve saved £20. Overall, excellent experience, highly recommended. For a slow paced travel and with kids 2 days are definitely better not to rush to see all places in one day. Hilton hotel was a nice place to stay, but if you are not travelling by car, not sure there is an easy way to get there.
Best Mexican food in UK - El Changarro - Authentic Mexican food. Tuesday to Saturday from 5 to 9 pm. Tally Ho Lounge, 42 Church street, Old Town, Eastbourne
I am Mexican 🇲🇽 & watching your video because I am going to Oxford the next weekend. Thanks for your recommendation, if you want, I can cook for you 😉😉😉
How funny I just walked by that place last week and was thinking hmm I should try it. Cuz I haven’t seen many “Tex mex” specific places. I’ll definitely check it out thanks for the rec :)
If you could only pick one from between Cambridge and Oxford, which would you recommend as a day trip? Keeping in mind free activities and Harry Potter sites to visit.
I actually haven’t been to Cambridge myself - but a few friends have said they are comparable but Oxford is bigger and nicer. So based on what they said I’d pick Oxford!!
It doesn’t stop at the train station in Oxford but there are 2 stops within Oxford itself and everything within Oxford is walking distance! The university of Oxford is spread out over buildings all over the town, but again, it’s a very small city! So very easily walkable from anywhere you get dropped off
Thank you for the response. I really like the three days itinerary in London, especially mark the attractions on the Google Map, learned. Is your three days itinerary is pretty physically intense and not going to work for seniors? My husband and I are pretty fit but we are 70 and 65. We can certainly use your itinerary as the baseline and do as much as we could. Thank you so much to share your travel experience. I subscribed.
Hi! Thanks for the video! The image you put in the video of Harry Potter's Hospital wing is not the Divinity School in Oxford. The Divinity School was featured as the hospital wing only in the first Harry Potter movie and then as the dancing room in HP Goblet of Fire (movie 4). The picture you put in your video is the hospital wing from the 2nd Harry Potter movie and later. I've not idea where this room is as I can't find any info online, but it definitely does not look like Oxford's Divinity School. Would be great if anyone had info on where this room is. I wonder if it's a set, since I noticed the stained glass windows look like the windows from the Hogwart's Great Hall, which is a set in Warner Brother's studios
Unfortunately there's a severe lack of legit Mexican food in the UK, but I have had some at a food stall in Camden Market. There's actually a huge selection of very good street food there.
Right?! I’m glad you agree!! Oh no way- what stall in Camden? I love eating at Camden so many good options. I haven’t tried any Mexican options there yet!!
It was quite a few years ago since I was last there so I don't remember the specific place (if it's even still there), sorry. Hope you can find some good Mexican food soon though!

Interesting, thanks for sharing. If I’m ever in eastbourne I’ll have to check it out!
Nice information. Can we visit Oxford on any Sunday? are the places of interest open ?
I believe the colleges and majority of shops will be open on a Sunday! It’s only smaller shops that close down

Try Mestizo, that’s the best Mexican place in London (I’m Mexican)
Ya I went to Mestizo in Chelsea, and thought it was ok! But wasn’t impressed, especially for the price!! :(
