A quick tip for anyone wanting to visit Oxford, to the south of the city is a great park and ride car park called Fastned Redbridge Park & Ride, it cost me about £6 for the day and I had my brother with me and we both got on the park and ride bus for free and a roughly a few stops later were right in the middle of the city, its a small fortune to park actually in the city. Also you just wait for the same bus back.

You could have got into Christ Church for free simply by attending Choral Evensong in the College Chapel (which doubles up as Oxford's Anglican Cathedral) at 18:00 hours (Oxford Local Time) or 18:05 hours (British Standard Time) if you are happy to listen to a world-class choir performing for fifty minutes. New College and Magdalen College are also Choral Foundations and, because their Chapels are managed by the Church of England, those of any faith (or none) are welcome to attend any of the services.

The Randolph - very nice. Very good food. Don’t stay there if all you can afford is the cheapest shared room - it looks out over a brick wall.

Did you guys go on a guided tour inside the Christ Church? Whichever case, how long did you have to film yourselves inside? And in the Bodleian Library, are you allowed to film and are you given enough time to roam inside?

How fun! We parked outside in a paid hourly lot right next to Blackwell's Art and Poster Shop which we felt was really central to everything. We didn't do a ton of research though, so there may be cheaper options if you hunt around a bit. Enjoy!

Strongly recommend you take advantage of the Park & Rides just outside Oxford, which provide frequent buses into the centre. I find the most convenient ones to be at Water Eaton and Pear Tree, but there are a couple of others. For £5 you get parking and the return bus fare for two people. Extra adults just pay the bus fare.

@@HSLR It's not a positive word in British English. But it is quite unrelated to "queynte", used by Chaucer to mean something very different.
