Fantastic feel. I studied that album and wore the grooves out trying to develop phrasing like Knoppfler but the drumming was just as inspired. You do it justice here ... so impressed!
Great Job!! I looked at other covers and this is best so far. Don't think you missed anything. Several of the drum covers skip the hihat work which makes this song's sound. You got the "time bell" rhythm perfect too.

N what about the neighbours are they hearing any thud of the kit or anything it's the only thing I gotta think about the neighbours

You plug your iPod/phone/laptop into the drum module using 3.5 jack cable (that’s a cable where both ends look like the end of your headphones lead) you also plug your headphones into the module. On the module you control the volume of the kit and the volume of the external music you’re listening to, the volume controls are separate so you can match them up to what sounds good. 2. Yes there are mesh heads on this kit but Roland also do the hard rubber heads too on certain kits, which I don’t recommend. Mesh feels more realistic to the stick strike 3. Although electronic kits are billed and sold as “practice any time you like” “never disturb the neighbours” and all this other stuff, while they do cause way less noise pollution than an acoustic kit, they are still incredibly annoying to hear if you’re NOT the one playing it, it sounds like you’re breaking up something with a hammer, it would be annoying to someone else living with you, and the sounds would travel, slightly, into an apartment below you. You could conceivably get the dreaded knock. BUT, I wouldn’t let that stop you, you just pick the right times to play, you just can’t sit down at the kit at 4 in the morning and think you’re being as quiet as a mouse. There’s a few videos on UA-cam demonstrating what they sound like to a person NOT playing them, go check them out

Does the TD-12 have the option to plug in headphones for quiet play??? I live in an apartment and I now have an Alesis Dm-10 kit. When I use the headphones neighbors never know I'm playing drums.
Wow! Thanks for the super fast reply! I'm about to pull the trigger on a used TD-12 kit for a pretty good price. It's only issue is one crash goes off randomly. Everything else is solid. I plan on replacing the crash. So this kit is pretty quiet with headphones??
Haha I spent most of my time on the computer :) I'm on my last cymbal out of three, I think I'm hitting them too hard. Even used ones on ebay are still very pricey, I had one repaired and it broke again, the cymbals are turning out to be a pain in the ass tbh. Quiet with headphones? I'd have to say no. There's an annoying clacking sound that would definitely piss off someone in another room in your house/apt and CAN bleed thru the floor to someone else's apartment. Your neighbors might be hearing you and are too polite/scared to complain :) My earlier drum covers were in an apartment, I was on the fourth floor but I was lucky because my apt was beside the stairwell and my cousin actually lived underneath so I never got complaints and with this drum cover here, I am living on my own in a cottage beside a bar, I picked the place exactly for this, so no-one would give me shit over noise. It also depends on how hard you hit them. If you're coming from real drums to electric most people smack the hell out of themm if you're starting on electric, people tap them like they're not trying to break them because you get the same drum sound regardless, I smack the hell out of them because I never want to sit down on a real kit someday and feel like the electronic ones spoiled me and make me lazy :) Search my videos for a video called: "How I make my drum covers" In that video I put a section where you can hear what someone else hears while you're playing. In the big picture, these are just minor quibbles, overall the roland drums are still very cool...so...Good luck with the kit!
