All creatures has an extremely special place in my heart. I’m currently a 2nd year vet student. Just before my A-Levels results were released after the a level crisis in December 2020, the show aired and we literally couldn’t watch it since we didn’t know if I was going to get school. I remember hearing the intro for the first time and sobbing with happiness. As a vet, I can tell you this show encapsulates everything it is to be a vet as well as the highs and lows. The UK we live in now is a shell of how it was then, thanks to political correctness and the woke policy so it’s nice to look back. I can say for 100% that my job may be hard, emotionally and physically draining and exhausting, but it is by far the most rewarding, fascinating and pure job in the world.
Absolutely the best! My wife and I never miss it. The acting is brilliant, the scenery is spectacular. The story lines are never repeated but the show is pleasantly familiar. Call the Midwife is also amazing.
Thanks for pointing out the sound design. I love the transitions when you can hear a character’s gentle footsteps as they approach another character who is in crisis. Beautiful!
The narrator here could not be more on point. The sound is done superbly, so that you hear the sound of a jar lid being set on a wooden table after it's been removed from the jar. It's not an assault on the ears in any way; it is simply there as it would be in life had you been at table with them. I was afraid to watch this reincarnation. No need for my fear. It is superbly done on every level. Even characters that were less fully expressed in Wight's books are fully developed and believably in this new iteration.
Love this show and every person (almost) in it. I would say if you are so fed up with everything around you in the current environment, this is a place you would want escape to.
You say something about not using a Passport membership, I. suggest that you explore some of the content available thru PBS, look at Call the Midwife and many others, many British, that have quality you will not find in much American commercial programming. I suspect you might find something to watch! 0:04
I watch this show too and I enjoy it but honestly it's not as good as the original series from the 70's. That show had a higher level of drama. This new version is good but it leans toward being a little to sweet and saccharine at times.
I hate to be this guy, but if you like this show, go and watch the 1978 show of the same name, it blows the modern version of the water in my opinion. Both of my parents have been practicing rural vets for over 30 years, and that series taught them things they used throughout their careers.
It brings me such joy to whatch it. They have created something so beautiful, funny, touching, entertaining and charming with this series. They realy brought all figures, the spirit of the time, theire profession and the wonderful region to life. It will always stay a pure pleasure to whatch.
I 100% agree with everything you said. I love this show! It brought such joy when it first aired during the pandemic…I think. Don’t quote me I could be wrong. It’s so wholesome! I love all the characters. That’s rare for me to like every character in a show especially nowadays. I’m excited for the 3rd season/series.
I love ACGAS! The books are laugh-out-loud funny, too. I'm old enough to remember the 70s/80s adaptation, and loved it, but this new version is even better (and I don't say that lightly).
This one of the best programmes in years, I am so pleased that I saw the trailer for it and recorded the series plus season two. I did not see as much of the original series due to pressure of work, what I did see was not up to the new adaption of All Creatures Great and Small. Looking forward to recording season three!
I think the original was funny with a little drama. Lately, it is more drama with a dash of humor. Helen's pregnancy is spent with her hands over her belly constantly. Who does that? While I like Mrs. Hall, her love life I can do without. James needs a backbone. Love Tristan!!!

Thanks for sharing your life story!
This show is really nice. I’d kill for Helen’s wardrobe!
I love it - can’t wait for season 5 - missed Tristan in season 4
Sorry it doesnt touch the PBS show
Such a good show!
All Creatures Great and Small?
Yes It is!
I watched it all the time and listened the the audible books
Pretty sure I’ve seen this one…
The original is a lot better. Tristan makes the show great.
I watched the original decades ago, and I loved it. So, I have chosen not to watch the remake. I had read all of the books, too.
Absolutely the best! My wife and I never miss it. The acting is brilliant, the scenery is spectacular. The story lines are never repeated but the show is pleasantly familiar.
Call the Midwife is also amazing.
I try to never miss this wonderful show
I am currently finishing season one, and it is everything you said it would be.

Never seen? No way! This is the most popular show on PBS. I love it! It’s beautiful.

I prefer the original series.
I love this show and also Call the Midwife on PBS

Best show EVER!

I've bought both seasons and having a season 3 party. I'm obsessed.
I love ACGAS! The books are laugh-out-loud funny, too. I'm old enough to remember the 70s/80s adaptation, and loved it, but this new version is even better (and I don't say that lightly).
Thanks for showcasing this excellent show. Looks like season 3 will continue the quality.
My wife and I have watched from season one. We’re hooked!
"All Creatures Great and Small"
More like the best show I have seen tbh
My sister loves this show!
Love this show can't wait for season three it's such a well written show and so beautiful to watch
Only show I watch. Fabulous!
I am going to have to go back and listen to the audio.
Love. Absolutely love this program!!! I read the books years ago, and truly enjoyed them. Definitely worth your time to read or watch or both.
This is great!

The original All Creatures Great and Small was the absolute best
this is the worst content I've ever seen. I'm disappointed in myself for view botting it
Sorry 😔
I love this show- even if I didn’t love the characters -the scenery is gorgeous
The scenery is definitely a big part of the show’s charm
All shot around a place called Hubber Holme in the Yorkshire Dales.
His can you not love Helen - her dimples?
despite how much distaste I have for british people and their dental hygeine, they do make some incredible shows.
Huh?
SO you make all your opinions on stereotypes and memes? have you ever developed an independent thought fee of american influences
@@sammysterling I was joking 😭
@@totaltakeovergames7275 Ahh, the American "sense of humour" which neither contains humour or sense. (joking).
