That's swell!
It looks like somekindof
you're probably one of the best unknown artists
Thanks 😄
Is he unknown if we know him tho?
who
@@vespid1709 really responded 2 years later lol
@@IDGs_space so did you👀
You can adjust the speed of the vibrato by going into Frequency Modulation mode, using the data entry +- buttons to speed it up or slow it down, then getting back out of Frequency modulation mode.
Other hidden functions: you can trim your sample by using the +- buttons in loop mode, and vary your sample quality/length ratio by holding one of the middle octave keys while you sample (low keys make a longer, lower quality sample while higher keys make a better, shorter sample.) It takes a little bit of practice with the timing to make this work.
Source: I grew up with one of these and spent way too many hours playing with it. I still have it around but it's very beaten up.
i use casio sa-1 or sa 10 if i remember correctly when iwas a kid
woah, thank you
I had no idea about the sample quality thing, wowzers
Hidden functions!!!???? WHAT????? Make a video.
Dude your voice is amazing. I don't know what's going on in 60% of your videos but it's worth it just to hear that silky smooth voice.
Thank you for that insightful feedback 😁
I love this type of music, reminds me of Locust Toybox. Some people may question why it doesn't have lyrics or say that it sounds unsettling but that's exactly what I love about it. It makes you feel things without any words being sung.
Locust Toybox of David Firth. Ah yes the memories.
any ideas some music like this?
The whole point of music is to describe what words cannot. While lyrics can add value, they often take away from the artistic value of music. If you need to describe what a piece of art is about (whether a painting, movie, or song) then it is not good art. Its supposed to be open to interpretation and the best lyrics are those that are vague enough that they can be interpreted in multiple ways. Kinda reminds me of Black Moth Super Rainbow / Tobacco.
I had one of these in high school back in '92. Made alot of loops with it along with a Realistic Concertmate 500. Recorded the loops with intention of reviving them someday. Well, 2mos. ago I bought a cassette deck, started resampling some of those loops into my MPC2000xl and gave them a little oomph with layering and adding an extra sound or two. I miss the keyboard but it lives in the loops created and resampled.
Just picked one of these up from local thrift store for $10 so excited to make stuff with it!!
Dude, its selling for $350 on Reverb
Ive made a bunch of legit tracks with this, as have Sigur Ros and other famous artists-its much more than a toy in the hands of any real musician
@@jeremyyamma4364 Most things in the hands of a creative person is far more than just what it was made for
@@victorkreig6089 yes I once used a sandwich baggie to create a magnificent crescendo
I found a SK-5 for $10 at a thrift store once. never really knew old synth toys could go for that much lol.
1:49 "for some reason, making music always makes me energetic"
i think he got a bit too excited
3:08 *ahghbleedeaaaaAAAAA*
*(ahem) sorry.
I just love every second of this channel, don't give up on it Posy.
Perhaps this is the highest quality that I have seen on UA-cam in terms of the quality of filming, the preparation of the material and the overall impression. The author has a divine announcer's voice that spreads in your brain in soft, enveloping waves. Divine, simple and obvious. If it's not difficult, tell us - who are you in your professional activity?
There's plenty of good stuff on UA-cam. You clearly haven't seen everything.
Posy's great. There's more out there that's great too.
@@orangejjay “u clearly haven’t seen everything” are u tryna imply u have 😭😭
He is a sound guy if im not mistaken
@@orangejjay tell me more about another great stuff on UA-cam
UA-cam typically promotes garbage that little children would easily eat up.
I wondered about the weird vocal in your songs, this explains.
Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing 😁
You have so many skills its insane. Beautiful sounds, beautiful images, inspiring ideas.
I really enjoy watching your videos about LCD‘s and old technology. The music is complimenting the content nicely. Keep it up!
I freaking love this channel, please keep making videos. I love this so much
This brings back some memories!!! I remember seeing this keyboard when visiting my grandma in the late 80ies. We always had to stop in the music instruments department when we were in the city. Nice to see it in action!! 😀
We had that amazing Yamaha keyboard in 1989! It's more than a toy! The sample option is quite pro! :)
I just discovered your channel and I really enjoy your calm voice contrasted with your zany off-beat humor :) Can't wait to see more videos
Heh, offbeat! Get it?
You have a new fan! Love your work, keep it up!
I've just finished watching all your videos. I cannot wait for more.
Wow this is great this video made me laugh and I enjoyed the music a lot
I’m glad UA-cam recommended your channel to me
Fantastic content!!
Posy you are an enigma... Simply one of the most brilliant minds today...
Such an inspirational video. You really have such a pure skill. Thanks for sharing
this guy is the best unlabeled producer
Just discovered your channel. Love it.
Great to know you’re still making music.
it’s so cool seeing his music come to life with these videos
Love your video lots of laughter made my day for sure!!!
I found one of these for $10 at Goodwill about a decade ago, it's my favorite little keyboard. And I guess now it's an investment too? Haha
I love you dude, never stop being crazy ♥️
damn these are great tunes. well done.
This is great Sir. I still have my younger sisters VSS-30 I still use to make starter beats. Its missing two keys but still works well. You just inspired me. I also still have my MPC 2000xl
You're a goof dude, love your videos!
Man... just... awesome. I love you.
Awesome video. I have had one of these collecting dust in my closet. Needed some inspiration
Omfg “Uuu” is so beauitful and harmonic and 🤌 *chefs kiss*
I don’t say this a lot, ur an artist make what you want, but I would sell every part of my body except ears just to listen to an extended version 😫😭🤩
Top job on the video, would love to see a video between you and Scruffy talking about music someday!
wow! this is insane, especially that second track!
1:53 - This sounded like something from Earthbound. It starts off so eerie, but I can't remember which track it was.
Are you thinking of "Welcome to your sanctuary"?
No, Blue Blue village.
Earthbound - 53 - Sanctuary Guardians
here you go ;)
I absolutely agree!
It was Giyagas' intro. It was on the tip of my tongue for 8 months. lol
The first song was the best one ive ever heard. Good job!
That was surprisingly funny, and melancholic.
I still have my Casio SK1 from 1985 (?)
I love that crunchy 8 bit sound.
Anyway, nice video again ;-)
Ah, the SK-1 is also one of those cult products now ;) I do have the SK-5. That's a weird product...
@@PosyMusic The SK-5 is more advanced than the SK-1 ;-)
The song is really good, i listened to it before seeing this video and I loved watching the whole process ,i just wish it was a little longer.
1:00 these 7 secounds belong in a museum
*edit : this whole video belongs in a museum
Thanks for the awesome content!
Your songs got some dope vibes!
Amazing video. I have this from when i was 10
The end song is EPIC!
The last track is pure genius. :)
I love you're content ❤️
I got one of these really marked down in price from Sears when I was a kid in the 80s. So many hours of entertainment were had. I can’t believe I lost track of what happened to it over the years.
Dude you have to find it
Wow this first sounds weirdly cool... second one is more... conventional. Both sounds great...
I had the casio sk-1 wich seems similar to this one and it was nice to play with it the same way as you´re doing in your video
Me too, then I upgraded to the SK200, I’ve still got them both as well as some more toy keyboards and some professional studio stuff. I still play them every so often for a bit of kid nostalgia😂
It really shows you don't need the best gear to make a good track, well done!
Also you have a Super 8 camera? Wow
Thank you for this.
This video is so inspiring
You get a subscribe just because you were being goofy and coughed on it. I loved that.
Awsome ! (Like always you do)
Sehr verspielt und verspult. Gefällt mir!!!
so glad you kept going with this channel!
can you please digitally sample your voice into my head?
so I can have all my thoughts in that glorious accent?
thanks in advance
If I could, you'd probably regret it soon 😁
You're such a cool person! ❤️
Underrated content
Excellent!
This first song named OUOUOU!!!!!!!!! was the result of a video atempt.
This was one of the most funniest videos you posted I spat out my salad on my screen when you did the "VIIIBBBRATO" thing xd
I like the U-turn function.
wait this is actually sick, now I want one lol
1:02 I love the song name
Top quality video vss-30 is amazing
prob coolest experimental music producer ever
Great song name!
For toys hell yeah its expensive but for an instrument that a steal
Hahahahahah so funny! Great video!! I bought one of those just cause your video. It will arrive soon...
Amazing video
I like that ending to song 2.
I remember once in a flea market, someone gave this toy to me. I have brilliant memories with it. si happy to hear its sweet sound again.
it's wonderful
Posy your videos are always a treat
my first track i ever recorded was on a tape recorder mic (before I had a pc), playing a guitar and stomping a synth with my feet.
Normally, people complain when they sample a fart. Congrats on bucking the trend!
1:02, best song title
I had one of these as a kid and wish I kept it.
awww this too good
Nostalgie is a powerful destructive energy towards time
Dude; you're the next PilotRedSun!
Only on mine vss30 is practically impossible to sample piano keys or other percussive sounds? Even voice has to be really loud to trigger the microphone! And frequently the sample is cut if the voice isn’t kept stable in volume while sampling
Same thing happens to me
Neat, someone other than Casio made those! Wish that was s standard feature since than.
It's wonderful music. Like first alboms of Jean Michel Jarre, but more fresh for now
I had one of these!
I bought myself a VSS-30 with my birthday & pocket money when I was 13. Sadly I gave it away a long time ago. It was great fun.
Mad as a box of frogs. Never change!
what cable is needed to connect this to an interface?
I like the contrast between narration Posy and mad scientist crackhead music-making Posy
can you connect an external mic to it or do you have to use the built in one?
It has a jack for sample in but I don't know if that works for a mic.
Hey it's my first keyboard! I loved it and it got me started making electronic music. By the way, the cap of your power switch is on the wrong way round!
Aaahhhh good content
so unknown so energetic
your music has a similar vibe to jackstauber. i love both of your music
4:46 "The keyboard has no drum sounds." >>> Hmmm...ok...but what about the 12 internal preset rhythms? What happens when you activate them and play some chords on the dedicated left hand area of the keyboard? Are these just playing arpeggios with the internal FM preset sounds (without any "percussion stuff")? Or what is the deal here?
I would like to see how you make your songs they are beautiful
nice!
This guys like the Mr. Rodgers of gadgets (:
