beautiful. Before this, I didn't know who this song was originally by, I'd only heard the sublime version. I've been looking for the original since I heard the cover, thanks for posting!
Thanks for uploading. Amazing to hear the original. I love finding out new artists based on Bradley's covers and samples. 1967 that's amazing! Long Beach Dub All-Stars just covered it in 2020, that's 53 years later and still phresh! I like all 3 versions.
This guys lists 34 songs that sublime “ripped off” the farther down the list you go, they sound less and less like sublime songs. Did sublime steal some shit. 100% yes. But this guys list makes his argument weaker because half these songs are only influences at best. Sampling/influences are not the same as “ripped off”
sdohertysd I highly doubt sublime ever took credit for the songs. He was doing covers of songs he enjoyed and influenced him. When the beats are slightly updated and lyrics exactly the same he was clearly stating this was a song he loved and cherished, and wanted to spread it to a new generation. Sort of like nirvana’s unplugged...
Sublime brought me here. Great song.
Same

Sampling is beats. When every single word is the same save but for 2, it's creative plagiarism

If sublime never covered this , most of us would’ve never even known it existed .
Who's "this guy?"
N sublime never stole shit, just occasionally covered or sampled older reggae and ska (& hip hop).
