Every day that passes, Putin and his willingness to send in helpless conscripts seems more virtuous than NATO with their endless spending, blackmail, political saber rattling, and stuffing of politicians' coffers with taxpayer money. As far as I have seen, the only people that have called for us to kill each other with nukes (not using them as a threat but wishing for destruction) have been those from NATO, especially Zelensky.

It's actually scary seeing how many people immediately actually wanted article 5 to go into effect without knowing anything. When I first saw reports of it I was actually pretty worried for all the memes I might laugh at about the war the last thing I want is for it to escalate to a global conflict the fact that there are so many who are eager to see that is pretty horrifying.
Even if they wanted it, none of it matters because NATO is too scared to do anything about Russia. Simply said, if they could, they would. So instead, they need to fight Russia through a proxy and lose like that.

That's what I personally found as the most concerning thing in this event. No diplomatic speech like "we are investigating" or "we think that it is...", no - straight up call to arms from Poland and the Baltic states. And they knew who is to blame from the get go, modern radar technologies are sophisticated enough. NATO is monitoring the skies closely and as members they get all the data.
Poland and the Baltic States want war, this fact should be noted and remembered just in case if any other accident or "accident" happens.

War with Russia is inevitable in the current trajectory, and Russia is already extremely unpopular especially in Europe. People want the current Russian administration gone before it tries to expand its influence elsewhere. Russia is definition fascism at the moment, and not the buzz word kind of fascism, but actual full-on fascism. By very nature, fascism is pro-aggression if it means furthering the goals of the fascist regime, therefore if Russia sees itself as equal in power to the European countries around it, it will immediately try and attack them to enforce their influence on them. That is why everyone jumped on the "fight Russia" train.

@@ivancar555 They are incompetent yes, but no one outside of a few could predict that the discrepancy would be so large. A large contributing factor in why there is such a discrepancy is owed to the technologically superior weapons being supplied to Ukraine by NATO members. Knock out NATO support through propaganda (mainly aimed at the USA, who is the primary enforcer of NATO power) and there would be way less of a discrepancy.
Also, the aforementioned superiority is the thing that keeps them from a true threat to Europe. Once again, make the US cut itself off from Europe, and it would be much easier to subdue.
Additionally, what Russia really wants right now is access to the microchips that it has to source from the west, and also warm water ports for its navy. Both of these would mean that Russia's military would potentially become significantly more self-reliant, which is bad news, because Russia is a fascist state in its purest form.
The reason why they attack now is likely a combination of factors. Joe Biden's weak administration, Russia's crumbling economy post-covid, Ukraine seeking to become a NATO member or join the EU around the same time, etc.
