Considering the cop has just arrived on the scene, doesn't know what the heck is going on or why, and his adrenaline is pumping whilst he's also in a state of shock with what he's seeing, it must be extremely hard if not impossible to find any words at that given moment. It would be too easy for anyone here to say "Oh, I would have done that or said this" when the moment is that moment only, and not a retrospective one.

some people just aren't meant to be fathers 😂That's the most mild, flippant thing one can say for something so horrific, so common in domestic abuse cases, which is itself an epidemic- toxic masculinity, mixing with general misogyny- taken to the extreme and no doubt exacerbated by the lockdowns and the covid aftermath. I feel like there's a reason he targeted the sons and not the daughter and wife, he somehow twisted himself psychologically into thinking his sons were competition.

There’s a UA-camr named Dr Grande, he’s a psychiatrist, and did a review of this same case. His analysis said that this killing was done to hurt the mother. That’s why he didn’t kill the daughter. That’s why he didn’t kill his wife. Thats why he was so calm after it was done, because he got what he wanted, which was to see his wife’s life destroyed.

That's exactly why he did it , why kill his wife when this was the worst way to punish her.
His actions of sitting there waiting for the police shows sanity , he had a mission to make his wife suffer , then he sat down waiting to be arrested , so he could savour her screams , that's why he didn't turn the gun on himself, this wasn't about murder suicide.
The tears in court are for himself , some for his children , but that's only the fact they had to be sacrificed in order to hurt his wife ,, he will blame his wife for this , so he will be able to have tears for his kids , in that he didn't kill them in his mind , it was her actions in the marriage thar made him do it , that's how he sees it , to him he only did it to hurt her , he probably expected people to sympathise at what he had to do,, as his time in prison has gone on , and people hate him and blame him , then now he has to change his plea to not guilty and try for insanity.
Then when she sits in court he can savour her pain once again..

@@steve10 Okay so even if this asshole is off the rails crazy, that still makes so little sense. I'm not saying you're wrong, but something isn't adding up here. I know people like this rarely operate on clear thinking and/or common sense, but what's the context for the marriage? What was the slight or imagined slight that he had against her?
I get that he wanted to hurt her, but he still didn't seem *that far gone into crazy* to not think of how much that didn't make sense though. Maybe if he had little to no love for his children, but he seemed to love his children? So----why not make the wife suffer another way?
Not that I'm saying this would have been a better choice but---a very well known way that a lot of people will attack women for revenge without killing them is disfiguring them. Acid, cuts, scars.
So like....???????? Why make something he says he cares about a casualty? There are so many other ways to get revenge on someone and ruin their life without killing them. Yet this 'seemingly sane' man just chose to say 'I've tried nothing and I'm all out of ideas?"

imo it seems that boy children hold a very strange role in society and families in the culture we have. Before they're old enough to bond with their dad over "manly things" they're regarded as an extension of their mother. From that perspective it would make sense that in his mind he hurt "nobody" because they weren't people to him yet, just something hanging off their mother's apron strings. Also imo this makes it worse bc he didn't see his own sons as human beings ("somebody") deserving of love and respect.

God, hearing that mother’s cries is so heart wrenching 😖 I couldn’t imagine losing not one, but THREE of my future children in such a disgusting way like this.

This has to be one of the weirdest murderers I've ever heard about, he only targeted his own children and by his own will left his wife and step-daughter alive, nothing was preventing him from just murdering everyone, I can't imagine the amount of pain and the uncountable hours of therapy the Mom and teenage Girl will have to go through to try to keep going after something like this.

I distinctly recall seeing the police body-cam video of this incident. I've lived in America for long enough to be generally desensitized to violence, especially firearm-related violence since guns are a consumer-commodity here. This one was tough to follow from start to finish.
He was just so casual and nonchalant about the fact that he'd just murdered his kids, even trying to make smalltalk with one of the responding officers and I'll never forget the officer saying "You have the right to remain silent, fucking use it."

As a mom of two boys this story is THE MOST heart wrenching one I’ve ever heard. I cannot fathom being in that mothers shoes.

This is about the eighth time I've seen a channel cover this case and it remains just as infuriating every time I see it. My brain literally cannot process how this man could methodically round up his three young boys and assassinate them in cold blood, only to act completely casual and disturbingly passive as the police showed up to arrest him. Normally, I'm against police who are overly-violent and utilize excessive force when placing someone under arrest, but in this case... It's hard to watch that video of him being arrested in such a docile manner. If there was ever a time I could excuse the police puttin' a bit of an ass-whooping on a perpetrator, it would certainly be this incident. I simply cannot comprehend how a man could be so nonchalant during and after the brutal slaying of his three young boys. It doesn't make any goddamn sense.

A buddy of mine since kindergarten snapped shot his wife in the head his 13 year old daughter and his 8 year old daughter. Told police he snapped. Soon as the first cop got on scene he killed himself. It was so hard walking into a funeral home and seeing 4 bodies layed out in a row. It fucked me up for a while afterwards. The weird thing is I never in my life ever seen him fight or be violent in any way. Same as this guy. If ur goin through some shit which we all are... get help if u can't handle it. Please don't for the love of God inialate your whole family. Thats the coward way out and pure evil

This is beyond heartbreaking, I feel sick just listening to this. That poor mom and her daughter, the torment they will live with for the rest of their lives. I honestly hope he gets the shit kicked out of him in prison every day of his miserable life. I hope he gets everything back 10 fold. RIP to all her beautiful babies. Just tragic.
