Mock Test Days Before His Actual Test | Experienced Drivers Make This Fault A Lot

- This is Malek, he has previously taken 4 test but had never done lessons with an instructor. This is his 2nd mock test with me and his test is coming up in 4 days time.
The has improved vasty over the last month, he’s previously felt overwhelmed with the number of hazards on the roads.
He does really well with an ongoing talk-through that keeps him alert of hazards and sticks to his MSM routine.

Just passed my test today with 4 minors so happy. Thanks for all the videos especially the mock tests as I never did any more tests before my test- risky I know but these videos have been great for learning. Guess I’m now just watching for fun but I must say I am glad not to live in London, seems sooo hard to have to be a learner in such a busy place.

He drove very well, give him credit. Roundabouts are really tricky, even for experienced deivers

13:33 Temporary traffic lights often have a stop board on the left saying "When the red light shows stop here" this is effectively the stop line. If you have already passed the board when the light goes amber or red continue. This set up has the board well short of the lights which are unusually on the right hand side of the road.

Whoever is trying to pass and it seems impossible, you will get there, just keep trying even if you have to go for a 100 tests! ✨

Talking through things out loud helps me aswell!
I also talk put loud as I struggled so badly also in terms of planning.i got told talking out loud is really good for actual test too x
Yes it’s a great way of keeping yourself alert and to scan hazards
It may sound daft but that is so true I felt wierd talking to myself but that genuine what got me a pass talking out why I doing the things I do and talk out what I see ahead then to show the examiner i checking my mirrors I would also say what car behind me. Boom passed.
Just failed my driving test today .. made a silly mistake at a junction.. but I’m not giving up just yet..thanks for the videos helping me see clear what I need to improve the next time.
It’s alright don’t get discouraged, it’s better to make the mistakes in your lessons or even on your test. Rather than to make a serious fault while driving alone
Some girl failed because she did not do any observation .
I also failed my first test, nerves got in the way :( good luck on your second one

I'm going to focus more on my driving lessons than talking about football ⚽ with my instructor next time, only had a few lesson's but because i lost track of his directions the other day i done a left turn right at the Last minute going really quick on the bend dangerous 😮 nice videos 👍
Always stay focused on the road, especially junctions.
We do have random conversations during the lessons but when it comes to a junction we do that in silence
Same goes for the test, the examiner will not stop talking when there’s a junction ahead

Really good awareness shame about the serious as it could have been avoided.. just boils all down to the day unfortunately.. I've got faith youl do it
My test is on January 14th 2022. Aiming for a first time pass. Lol

He did well, 💪he followed the sign and drove smoothly
I like to talk a lot of things through on my lessons, not as much as this driver but I’ve had to learn to shut up because I mostly vocalised what I was doing wrong and would have ended up giving the examiner a day off doing his job for him!
Good driving but in my opinion and the way I was taught, seat needs to go back knees too close to dash and arms should be straighter for more control.
The instructor is amazing. Do you teach in Enfield?
Good drive but bad luck and also his Instructor observation is very good.
Thats what annoys me with the driving tests we can fail for other behaviour I failed mine on a roundabout because someone else was in the wrong lane and then came into mine with no indication he was coming in my lane yet I was failed for it
Yes it’s annoying but in the long run it can get you it or trouble
As you want to be a defensive and proactive driver
So even if someone’s in the wrong, you want to show that you can deal with it safely

Since his last appearance here how much practice has he had? I have my test in two weeks and did my first mock test and failed. Im not letting it discourage me but just amazed how much he has improved and what kind of practice he has been doing to get here. Thank you!
Hey yes he’s done really well 😁 he’s has 12 hours of lessons since his last mock test
We worked on a lot of roundabouts and he’s been doing his homework in between lessons 🤣
We did a mock test around 4 hours before this and Malek did make a few more faults. Don’t let the mock test result discourage you :)
Always better to make the mistakes in the lessons than the actual test

I failed my test a while back just because I didn't check my right blind spot while parallel parking (it was the only fault by the way). I don't understand how this one here is not deemed as a serious fault.
Hey it’s because overall he did check his right blindspot at the beginning before reversing
No one was around as he was reversing so it’s not a serious fault
If someone had turned up then it’s more likely to be a serious fault
Even when he changed direction to correct his manoeuvre. He does look around before moving ahead

Yes but the examiner would have had a reason
So reversing and not looking over your right blindspot for ages would also be serious
Good luck with your test, just do the manoeuvres slowly and keep glancing around (stopping when vehicles are approaching close)

at 11:31 he indicates before checking his mirrors whilst leaving a dual carriageway. Is this not a Minor fault?
It was a very good drive but I felt that at 20mins when he was positioned in lane 2 at the lights, even though the road merged, he still forced 3 drivers to undertake while turning right, which would surely. lead to a serious fault.
as hes positioning to turn right and others are passing on the left thats not a major concern as long as hes not too slow

Hi during the exam are they asking for reverse bay parking?
Yes this is usually carried out at the test centre car park
They can ask you do this at the beginning or at the very end
But I’ve you’ve already done a different reverse manoeuvre during the test then it will not be carried out
Hi I have a question when moving off from the side park road do we need to give indicator please reply me I have my test tomorrow my instructor told me that just observe and check blind spots if u give me indicator that will b seriuos fault please reply me
Indicate if there’s junctions or vehicles around you
If it’s a completely empty road, then you can move off without it

No
Hey no it’s not a serous fault
As long as you don’t go into the pavement at speed
So a light touch is okay but it will go down as a minor as you will have to go forward to correct your parking
