I just came over after watching GST’s video. After seeing the property and the amazing enclosures, I had to subscribe! I hope your channel blows up just like Chris’s. Y’all deserve it!
I almost did the same! Up here, I always look for a good concentration of oak leaves, and I know my neighbors have lots of oak trees, but this spot has ALL oak leaves :-)
Glad a legend in the turtle and tortoise community like yourself is on UA-cam! I do the same thing with autumn leaves for my Indotestudo elongata and Manouria emys emys
@jusTURTLES it's just refreshing to see an American channel using them ( or showing them on screen) In Europe we don't use that many common names since we have all these different languages. Keep up the good work, love the channel!
@@svenvalcke8640that sounds lovely, actually! Hahaha. But you have to also use the common names for the newbies. This is why, even though it's awkward sometimes, we have to use both, ugh!
Thanks so much for that! Chris is one of my best friends. Hoping this very new UA-cam experience helps some folks out there the way I have been helped by so many :-)
I'll make a video about that, I'm sure! I make turtle mashes that include maybe 15 to 20 ingredients. Protein, vegetables, fruit, and supplements are all mixed together so animals can't be picky :-)

I got leaves from my neighbor! All my box turtles are brumating now, but my tortoises are in the house.

I love how you're using scientific names, make life so much easier.😊
Thank you! I always try to use both, but it's not easy to remember and I sometimes make mistakes and only use one or the other :-)

Not Anthony taking the videos to the next level!!!! 🙌🙌🙌🙌🐢💚😝
Ya think!?
I have Sycamore trees that I get leaves from in the fall
Very cool! They are appreciated by the animals, I'm sure.
What is the plant in the McCord’s enclosure that looks like a pineapple top? I feel like I recognize it but just can’t recall. Thanks!
I think that's a species of Dracaena, if I'm not mistaken. The other two plants in there are an elephant ear and an umbrella plant.
Garden State tortoise sent me just subscribed
Thank you so much! I really appreciate this :-)
