PedalPCB Spirit Box | Build Review & Demo

- Welcome back to Pougnet Pedals! This week we are reviewing the PedalPCB Spirit Box reverb pedal. This is PedalPCB's attempt at reproducing the EQD Ghost Echo. The effect uses a digital Belton brick reverb unit along with some analog electronics to provide vintage to pretty warped reverb sounds. It also has the added ability of slapback delay. Two knobs control the Depth and Dwell of the reverb, while a third controls the delay's latency or Attack.

I agree that they are quality pcbs. They are a thicker board than lots of others with better traces.

@@pougnetpedals hey young man,,, I,m very curious on how to dual a pedal,, try and do a dual zen drive or something like that and explain what's involved. I saw somewhere that a pedal clone designer had like a coupler board to join two into one but I don't remember where! But that pedal is a perfect match for your vibrolux! Sounds great.
Hey Russell. Are you just thinking two effects in one pedal? It's pretty straight forward, but I was thinking of doing a video on offboard wiring. I could probably add it there
@@pougnetpedals great. Yeah i think doubled up pedals are called dual pedals but. Yeah,,, the king of tone is two blues breakers together,, byoc dual klone is the clean circuit of the klone and the klone in one pedal and i know zen drive did a two in one of the the zen. Great hobby! Especially in these stay at home or get sick days!
Really great review! Quick question - did you use the BTDR-2H Short (S) or Long (L) as your reverb unit? Just curious since your overlay pic at 2:35 shows the Short model.
Good catch! I used the long delay. That's what I get for using a stock photo.

Working on this build now (and I’ve done quite a few PedalPCB projects). Quick and probably silly question, but how did you determine where to put the reverb IC? I see it marked on the reverse side of the PCB, but since it’s a 6 pin circuit, I wasn’t sure which slots it should drop into and the plans don’t make it exactly clear
How did you do the white graphics on the dark background?
White sticker paper and black ink
