That's part of it HE didn't explained it properly. IF you start with 1 Health Bar and Megaman Unable to move then the Password WORKED then you press Reset on Snes console or Emulator then Get into the Password Screen AGAIN just press Start and NOW you Will have access to the game with all power ups.

Yesterday I learned that you can take a hit in wheel alligator stage (MMx2) then jump on the spikes whilst you have the 2 second immunity to grab the heart tank on the ledge. Every other week I learn something new 😂

I played the first few times back in 93/94 without that knowledge too, but somebody had a magazine which explained that. It also explained how to get Ryu's Hadoken too.

The only glitch that was fixed in the X Legacy Collections that im aware of is the one from X8 that lets you get infinite metals

My favorite password is one I learned from a friend back in the 90’s, that I haven’t seen on websites since. You fill all the rows with 2 except for the last number, which you leave at 1. You start with penguin defeated and the dash boots as well as the buster upgrade, it’s great for dropping in for a quick session

My favorite game for snes
It and the original MegaMan both came out on December 17th but their release years are different (1987 for Classic and 1993 for MegaMan X)
Not new. I saw this posted on the gamefaqs forums in like 2009 or 2010. I remember trying it out on the GameCube collection.

The first glitch password also helps you get the Hadoken a lot faster due to starting the game with your health bar maxed out already although you would still have to get all of the sub tanks and armor parts
There is another version of this glitch where if you enter the intro logo fade out black screen prior to the demo, and then quickly go into pass word, then enter the password, you will start with an extremely small health bar with 10 HP. It's difficult to execute but it's very cool if you want a challenge.
Something really weird happened to me tonight while I was playing Megaman X (SNES). I would play a little part of each level and hit one random enemy and I would suddenly beat the boss and get the boss weapon. Like I hit the mega robot in the beginning, one of the knights in the Hard man level, a jelly fish in the underwater area, a lightbulb in the laser area while on the stairs. I got to the last level (which was really hard) and then it suddenly put me at the beginning of the game. I glitched through the whole of Megaman X without meaning to, I don't know how it happened??
I have had this happen as well. I've only ever noticed this while emulating the game (not playing it on a real SNES). I believe it's a weird emulation bug. I'm not sure why it happens. 🤔
I got something even weirder and wackier than this. First, enter the password that allows you to obtain everything in the game except the hadouken. Obtain the hadouken like you’d normally get it, and exit the level. For some reason, you get sent back to the beginning stage like this password glitch, retaining all of the upgrades (besides the armor), and the hadouken. The funny thing is, since you’re meant to have all armor pieces to use the hadouken, X just vanishes every time you use it since there’s no sprite to use.
Never have I thought that a single password's effects depended on the timing.

Something you should have mentioned is that you don't have any armor with this password. Normally the leg parts are required, as you can't go over their capsule. However, using this password means you won't have the password which means you can't dash
Essentially a no armor run
And from what I know if you beat the game, it shows X with the leg part in the ending cutscene
@@ajaxmaxbitchactually no he doesn't have the leg parts in the credits and when he does the dash at the end his legs disappear since there's no leg dash sprite with no armor.
You’d think Capcom would want this to be patched on the Legacy Collection
It's too out of the way to bother patching. You'd have to do it deliberately for it to be in the game

I only remember the Second version mentioned with no health or control. If you do that method, you just have to reset the game and I think starting a new game will give you all weapons

There's a variant that leaves X with some health but a bit less than he normally starts with.
I saw it in a TAS of this kind of scenario, which natch helps with the Invincible Vile battles at the ends of Central Highway and Sigma Palace 1

That actually is quite similar to the last password I ever got that I committed to memory...but now I'm going to have to dig up my SNES to confirm because it's getting a bit rusty and I haven't played it in awhile.

So it probably passes "check" in the memory allocation for weapons, armor and items, but because it was probably meant as a beta code for the devs in the playback recording state, it gives very low health in a valid state outside of the playback mode.
So in the default state while it recognizes the code, it cannot find any valid progress markers and is at default (intro stage) so it resoles by using default values.
Since playback isn't actually gameplay, it would make sense devs would partition it this way.
TL;DR the source code is structured such that playback mode will fool the memory into generating results not possible through regular gameplay with the glitchy code;
try to use this code in the password without playback and it will generate valid but undesirable conditions.
I use to that all the time i had a turbo controlled and it work all the time even in x2 and x3

As someone who reviewed it said, it looks like looney tunes. I also remember stage effects like flame mammoth's level freezing over if you beat chill penguin first, doesn't happen.

There's normal passcodes for all bosses defeated, you don't need to use the glitchy one or beat the highway

Not entirely. I did it once, but never got a "100% no armor", since the leg capsule (dash) can't be jumped over, skipped or anything.
Also after zero dies he will give the buster upgrade if you didn't have it there.
