I want to share three of my all-time favorite jerkbaits. Jerkbaits are incredibly popular in the fishing world, and there are many different options available from various manufacturers. However, these three baits I will talk about have proven highly effective for me throughout the seasons. Each one serves a specific purpose based on the type of fish you're targeting. Rapalas are my least favourite jerkbaits. There are so many better options. The mavrik is the only one I’m interested in.
My top 3, Jackall Rerange, Vision 110, Pointer 110. In that order.

I have all 3 and for me the 110 outproduces the others. Under what conditions does the Rerange out produce the 110? I really curious because I have 5 or 6 Reranges and I use them less and less each season. I haven't had any luck with them and I know they are highly regarded.

@@frankhunt5018 What makes the rerange great is its movement. You can really snap it and make it walk 180 degrees left and right. But with that, it has a lot of body roll. It excels on days similar to spinnerbaits. A little bit of chop, cloudy conditions, or even just dirtier water. Anytime you need some flash, throw the Rerange. The way it rolls makes it throw a ton of light.
I’ve had good success on clear, calm and sunny days as well, but I with a more subtle colour. Reranges also come in a 130 size that excels around bigger bait fish. I caught a ton of bass this fall fishing around big golden shiners.
I’ve had far more success when the water is cold as well. The small mouth in my profile picture was caught on a Rerange in 40 degree temperatures. That one was 5lbs. People hold the vision 110 in high regard in cold water, but the Rerange seems to always perform better for me. They also have a great hook on them out of the box. The Owner ST-36’s are sharp. Rarely do I ever lose fish on that bait.
If I’m reaching for a jerkbait, 9 times out of 10 it’s a rerange first. If that isn’t working, I’m switching to a 110jr +1. Is the rerange the best jerkbait? In my opinion it is. But, that may not be the case for somebody else. In my experience fishing jerkbaits, (and I fish them a ton) they work the best. For me anyway. I’m in Canada, so a jerkbait is an important bait for me for 6 months out of the year.

Ripstops seems to the in-between to the Scatter series & moving to the full-on suspending series like the Husky jerks.
