Wow!!..... Both Matteo Mancuso and Cory Wong are amazing guitarist! Just incredible playing, they can make any guitar sound great. Let alone the Bacci Baritone guitar which looks awesome!
This video is the clear example of the next level of ejecution in guitar for the future. No doubt probably this is the best natural video from the last 10 years in jazz improvisation, Mateo is above of some legends in guitar by mant reasons.
He was using a Line 6 HX Stomp I believe, so would have borrowed that from Yamaha (who own Line 6). If you’re travelling from abroad you try not to take anything as it gets complex with U.S. customs. Last time I did something at NAMM I had to borrow from a couple of companies, which involves a bit of form filling and trust. I was doing performances for Yamaha, Hartman and another brand and forgot Line6 were owned by Yamaha, so flew out my HX Effects.
I hear and I read that Cory Wong is a legend and I m thinking that ..wtf is going wrong in this planet ….why some of these guys are famous and some others are completely unknown that they are great musicians with amazing musicianship …crazy
U're right, this type of comment("the greatest","best of all time" etc) is ridiculous lol Matteo is a kid,he doesn't have a whole career already and he is the "greatest"?? He's a great improviser for sure and his finger technique is awesome but he has a lot to prove(which is 100% normal),his rhythm playing for example needs work etc I like Matteo's playing I hope he'll became a world guitar icon in the future(he deserves) but PLEASE,stop saying non-sense things and stay on earth when you comment videos on yt 😂
I probably didn't explain myself well. I was simply noticing that there is a huge difference between being good at your instrument and being a GOOD MUSICIAN. my comment was intended as a compliment to cory wong, who has a 360° musical feeling and is not solely focused on his instrument.
THIS ISNT EVEN MUSIC AND NOT EVEN GUITAR BACK IN MY DAY IF YOU WANTED A GUITAR THERE WAS ONLY 2 BRANDS TO CHOOSE FROM THIS ISNT BLADE RUNNER BOYS TAKE THAT FANCY NOISE STICK ELSEWHERE
Exactly! I don’t get the hype of a classical guitar player handed an electric guitar being “the greatest”. People are always jumping the bandwagon and shiniest new fad out there. He ain’t even the most versatile guitarist I’ve ever seen. Last time I checked, people were saying the same thing about Ichika, or Tim Henson, or Asato. And now it hasn’t even been a year yet and people just pull out of their a$$ that the greatest guitar player is electrified flamenco/classical guitar player 😂
@@jan_07 yeah for me its comes down the quality of his melodies. He can play classic stuff very fast but hes not exactly blowing my mind with his melodies like other guitarist like john petrucci or tosin abasi or guthrie govan
Disagree. Not many can shred like Matteo, but Cory is so friggin’ locked, rhythmically tight, and musical. He’s giving him a perfect canvas to solo over, like a perfectly tight backing band. He’s mining more ideas and bringing some variety to an 8-minute jam. Just my thoughts!
Erez - thanks for these videos - looks like you had a front row spot!
These guys should to make a collaborative collection of improvised tunes like this….. we need it and would love it!
agree!
Excellent work on these videos. Thanks for posting them.
Il grande Marco Fanton sullo sfondo !! ❤❤❤
Two different styles. Amazing!
Mateo is amazing!

Those wear marks on Matteo's fretboard are just from this session.
Hearing and seeing alone is still not believing!
Matt is using line 6 hx stomp XL and Cory is using the quad cortex. 🔥
How'd you know?
@@craigdanjyou can see it in 8:17
If hx stomp is good enough for Matteo it's good enough for me lol. I feel validated.
@@latemnftrue haha
Matteo wasn't wearing a hoodie. I barely recognized him! 🙂
Ha 😂
Jammin'
The guy in the middle of the crowd looks like he was forced to be there until he finally claps at the end
Not a competition. Only an exhibition.
Please, no wagering.
David Letterman
Grande Marco Fanton
Of course I missed it. 😢
Todos juzgando, mas que disfrutando. Musicos...
Guitar brands and prices please?
C.WONG'S guitar is __________.
M.MANCUSO'S is ___________.
Thanks!
Bacci
around 5 grand, those are expensive guitars.

Look at Marco Fanton how bored he‘s watching them performing. 😅
4:50 is like playing god
I guess MM wasn't repping Yamaha at this show.

One is the greatest guitarist today BUT the other one is a Musician.
Cory has proven himself to be a true master band leader & musician. His rhythm chops are equal none.
Greatest guitarist? 😂 lol stop the overhyping please. He’s one of the modern greats BUT NOT the greatest yet 😂
Nonsense. Both are great, period.

To some in the comments, do you not realize that music of not a sport?

Matteo is good but he is very overrated. Not the best guitarist in the world like some people claim.

The strange person in the hat and mask is an awful distraction.
Are people still have those dirty stuff on their faces? It was popular years ago, never like that type of clothing.

Spoken like someone who has no clue.
