I think there’s sort of a happy medium, there’s awful horror games from old and new roblox and wonderful horror games from old and new. I would say I do tend to enjoy older horror games more because there was so little to work with that if a creator wanted to make something really good they put in tons of effort. That’s not to say newer games DONT have as much effort in them, but i feel as though we see even less horror games with much effort in them. I’ll look up good horror games for roblox and i just see the same exact games with a different title. Those “the (place) experience” for example. And with the boom of Japanese mythology horror games since the mimic release a few years back, i feel like im struggling to not play the same thing over and over again. Even as someone who doesn’t care much for story, nowadays horror games are either a cash grab or a talent show on who is the best modeler. Going back to what I was saying about the happy medium in the beginning, i have seen more older horror games be revamped, like happy oofday and party.exe for example. Its nice to see the charm of these older games in a more polished light.

I wanted players to keep on coming back so I always added things that may be needed to be seen in the next playthrough. Love how you realized that's what I wanted at 2:56. Play however you want, but you'll be back... I really love at 3:18 you tell everyone to NOT use UA-cam to cheat my hardest badge! I feel like most people don't like that part at 5:55 lmaoo. great video! i think with all the improvements in roblox graphics/how easy it is to make games, we get a lot more diversity in the kinds of games produced nowadays, and also a lot more realistic scares and gore and stuff like that
there is the nostalgia factor for the old ones, but honestly i think theres so much variety in both old and new that theres no easy answer on whats better

This new horror games just depend on how much time you spend in the game so they can get their premium payouts which basically is when players are playing their games, they are able to recieve money if they play a certain amount of time. Though in 2023, there are still some good games, just as rare as it was back then

I'd have to go with old roblox horror games. Masterpieces like It Lurks and Silent Dark are the perfect example, it has good storyline and good quality. Most new roblox horror games can't compare to the old ones
Yes. Old horror games where better but some of the new horror games like residence masacre, Jim's computer,don't leave your TV on and some more are also good.
Honestly for me I’d say old, this is because I see SO MANY horror games go for this super realistic look but then that game never gets popular. But games recently that have taken an older style look have gotten a lot more popular (like Jim’s computer, A nostalgic Hangout Game, etc) I’m not really a fan with the realistic ones as many are too buggy to even play or make my computer lag like crazy so old wins for me
Edit: also the fact that many horror games now have SO MANY game passes that make the games easier like cmon I want a challenge! Not ads in my face for something that’s 250 robux

i don't play many horror games on Roblox but I've watched a few (im a bit biased because yk) and i say modern MAINLY because of residence massacre and doors. especially doors. one of the best games ive ever played.
