man i played my first run without making any sheds since i didnt know what it was and just casually got to moon 36 with 20 capacity lmao,i dont know if thats impressive or impressivly dumb, either way this is poggy content my man!
Don't miss the sequel then, I get myself a dog. The dog bark is not my favorite thing in the world though lol, not sure if they've changed that in recent updates
There are foils?? I love that mechanic, literally doesn’t change what the card can do, only how much it sells for lol. I’ve never seen a foil, can any card be a foil?
I agree, it is a cool mechanic! It seems to mostly be resource cards and soil from what I've seen, maybe it is only cards that you draw from packs. I've never seen a foil come from villagers interacting with cards, only from buying card packs.
Gah, just looking at all the ways they made this game harder. I’ve only played the more recent versions, and I still had a blast, but reusable soil in farm construction.. damn
I can see that, but didn't they also make it so you can move cards while paused? I haven't played in a minute, but I mod for the Stacklands speedrun.com page and people there talk about it. Thanks for watching, hope you enjoyed :)
@@dead3y3_YT Yeah, lots of trade offs. It’s just interesting to see all the differences since I didn’t know that there were any. It still doesn’t like having a bunch of cards next to each other, but I’m curious if it still forces them all into the corner of holding
I made a sequel to the video called "Stacklands | Beating the Game", got myself a canine companion lol. I like the dog, but I hope they updated the bark sound since I played
Yeah sort of, I think the game is meant to be more casual with food management being the bigger threat. It works for both casual players and speedrunners though, spending time moving cards around takes away from time spent gathering resources and focusing on quests. Plus, beating the demon requires you to build an army either way.
How to exit? I believe you can hit escape and quit game, but if that fails you could always open task manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc), click on Stacklands, then click "End Task".
True! Coins were so crazy when the game first came out. It was pretty funny how every card would get sucked into the corner though, not sure if that still happens
Garden is so much better than soil. I'd do that early. It's cheaper than a farm for early game. I'd also suggest prioritizing means of production early game so you maximize your villager's efficiency.
Have you considered speedrunning the game? Not sure if that's your thing, but the speedrunning community for the game is growing and there are some pretty cool runs out there at the moment.
The coin chest is a great addition to the game, really solves the issue I had here. I'm excited to see what else they add to the game, especially now that it is on steam.
Coin bank wasn't in the early updates of the game pre- steam release. Coin bank is great though, so glad they added it. There have been a lot of changes recently, I've heard the game lets you buy and sell while paused now even. Super curious how that will go in standard runs.
Thanks! I had a lot of fun with this game. The devs that made this game also made a game called Guardener that you might like. I put out a video on it recently in a similar style to this one.
Coin chest got added when the game came to steam, but it is a great update and helps a lot with card management. Still, I thought it was pretty funny how cards would get sucked into corners in the earlier version :)

Just got this game and love it and hate it. Lol I try to organize all my buildings and then cows and chickens start moving around and messing things up. Lol
It is tough to organize, the coin chest has really helped since it came out but I definitely see what you're saying. There is also some sort of animal pen now but I haven't tried it out yet, maybe that could help

If I could make a suggestion, this is quite hard to follow. Perhaps instead of commenting live you could break out the key points and use recorded footage and narrate over that.
Noted! I think in particular the speed up thing may have put people off, I wanted to sort of show off how long it took to make all the sheds in an entertaining way. Not sure it really came out that well and having a voice over during that at least would have been cool. I will definitely work on how I present, thanks for the input.
Thanks, I will try that out. It feels like there is still a lot left to explore in the game, there are still a lot of cards I really haven't used for much. My board is also such a mess lol
@@dead3y3_YT yeah its a cute little game, I beat it now - like - did "all" the things there are to do. Needs more combos and cards for sure and some sort of score or end game or whatever. I am enjoying the little game (sok-stories) they made that lets you make your own games - pretty easy to use and people have come up with very clever ideas with the limited things you can do with it. :)
I put out a sequel to this, you won't want to miss it!
I think there is a coin chest or something where you can put your coins in so they don’t go everywhere, i may be wrong tho
You're right, they added it after I played but it is super useful. Although it was funny to have all the cards getting sucked into the corner lol

All cards from a pack can be foils. Including cards you cannot sell like animals and enemies.
@@dead3y3_YT I wish that any card just had a chance to be foil, it would be neat to collect all of the foils.

Excellent video.
Thank you very much! I had fun with it, it's nice to see high quality games from smaller development teams like this.
If you drag the bone atop the wolf it turns into a dog and can do what a villager does but a little slower.

I feels all the threats are useless if you can body block monsters and wild animals with cards...
