Watching Blitz casually throw away Flint hurt a little. He's going to regret that later. (For those who don't know, most resources can be farmed eventually, but flint has to be mined from rocks which have to be bought.)
I'm pretty sure you actually do get flint rarely from the Quarry. On the other hand, it is in fact VERY rarely, and you will more easily get it by buying card packs, selling everything in it and then using those coins to buy a new one.
You don't need a lot of flint though. Iirc you need 2 for a smelter and other than that I think you only need it for the stove i.e. the upgraded campfire which isn't really necessary.
i'll show you the next two. the second pack- oh no wait, blitz got to where i am. also make sure your food stockpile's big! you never know when a villager exists (no wait, you can know. spoilers on a craft! avert your eyes! 2 villagers + house = 2 villagers + 1 baby)
Wtf do more of this. It was weirdly fun to watch and now I feel emotionally invested in your little villagers and want to know WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU FORCE EVOLUTION
picked it up after watching the vid it looked fun and it gets progressively challenging as you go. quick tips ive learned: 1. dont sell the poop they work the same as the soil for growing poop just stack the produce on them. 2. you can build an animal pen to stack the animals on it, but i wont spoil the recipe 3. keys are for treasure chests you get from mission cards like mountains, villages and graveyards. 4. if your villagers die, stack 2 corpses to make a graveyard, they can spawn skeletons beware! 5. build a farm as soon as possible for faster food growing. 6. the cow spawns milk, you can combine it with strawberry to make strawberry milk. 7. if you build a market it gives you more money for cards but it takes like 15 seconds and you cant stack different cards on it 8. traveling merchant will appear at random, it will give you a random card for 5 coins you have a low chance to get rare cards 9. all your ideas are kept on the same menu as you quests logs look at the tabs and you can see all your recipes. 10. build a smelter as soon as possible itll help with the advance building.
It's a very fun game that you can make more or less difficult or even no portal enemies. You can likely beat it in a day, but the Devs have said since it has gotten so much love, they are working on expanding the game and cards. I look forward to trying it again after they expand it, and would be willing to pay another $5 for more expansions from them, even if they continue to be free.
Great game and concept, wish there would be more. I had already reached the end and was left wanting more. Also, i made a stack of swords next to everyhouse. Once a baby walks and leaves a house, i put a sword in his hands.
Anyone else reckon that these types of games will have some relation to highly advanced tech in the future? I’m talking about world building tech that’ll be used to create simulated universes, I feel like this is the precursor to that sort of reality
How the hell did you look at a game about combining cards and think that's what advanced tech is going be based around? Quantum mechanics? Nah nah, it's all about sick card combining.
Stacklands is great but it's only a few hours long as long as you don't mess up and have to start over again. It's kind of a simpler and much more beginner-friendly "Cultist simulator" with more generic fantasy monsters instead of Lovecraft monsters.
i've just bought this game yesterday & it's great! (also, just to prove this isn't a spam comment, i'll put a spoiler for the game here: avert your eyes! stacking multiple (berry bushes, trees, rocks, whatever) on the same stack makes the villager go to the next one in the stack! also, here's a craft! 3 stone + 1 wood + 1 villager = lots of stone in the future. (the villager doesn't dissapear when you put it on this craft)

Hey Blitz have you heard of a game called Zeepkist? It's like Trackmania but soapbox, so no acceleration (and "zeepkist" is "soapbox" in Dutch). It also has a cool map maker and multiplayer. I would like to see you play it!
Not sure if you ever learn this, and I don't think it's been raised yet. But Poop actually has a use. You can use it as a single-use soil. It's not worth much unless you have got unlucky getting soil at the start, or have a massive population with not enough food production for some reason, but it can be useful. It's also a decent way of improving the worth of your cards if you've got the spare 'hand size' by using one of the crops which are worth two coins to double the sell value of the Poop card in effect.
I can confirm, it is. I got the game on a hunch because it looked cool on my Steam Recromended List. Played for 5 hours straight. Lost my first two games. My third game is still going.
@@highchaplainerebus Well, in the 7 months since I made this comment, I would say just remember not to let your people starve lol. My biggest problem at first was remembering to keep an eye on food supplies while progressing the little town. So my people starved out my first two games and I think on my third I fell behind in keeping up enough warriors and died to what would have otherwise been an easy fight if I had just two more militia.
I would really like to see some more people playground. Maybe using the new reactive humans. At least try the reactive humans they are amazing like if you want mor KEVIN!!!
This game gets genuinely INSANE later in the game and I definitely wanna see if you can beat it on your first try. Pro tip, keep a bunny or two you can use the poop like soil and grow more food, the cows drop milk it's a 1-1, and chickens spawn eggs which can be cooked into good late game food. No one seems to know what bones are for but it's just like Minecraft, you can feed one to a wolf and turn it into a dog which is one of the quests.
@@tinydiddumb If you know about pausing and survive your first portal, you should be perfectly fine for all following portals.
