They then locked him in an underground prison,chained up but still the port mafia leader. Chuuya summoned Atsushi, and he told atsushi to join him in getting revenge for dazai's death. He said even if dazai had foresaw his rage fueled revenge plan, he'll do it anyway, because that way it'll be as if dazai was still there Chuuya was acting just like the old boss of the port mafia, with no other thoughts than destruction. So he's not dead, but mentally he's in a pretty bad place 🤧
it didn't happen in the lightnovel/manga but it was added in the movie along with the beast!skk at 16 fighting shibusawa scene and the fyodor scene at the very end
