@@valery9178 this wasn’t in the manga, this is from the light novel „dazai’s entrance exam“, the anime sometimes adapts the light novels too, that’s why beginning with season 2, there are flashbacks at the beginning of each season. Season 1 did it differently by incorporating it in the current timeline, so if you only watch the anime it’s not bad, but the light novel is better and the stage play adapted it more faithfully ^^

Tawada Hideya - I would really consider Hideyan to be the best Dazai ever. I mean, it's only my opinion but him portraying as Dazai hits different may it be him as Dark Era or ADA! Dazai. I miss him a lot.

I meant that the adaptation of it in the 1st season was awful, they basically changed everything so it would fit with the current timeline and so Atsushi could witness the partnership beetween Kunikida and Dazai. I get why they did that, but they got rid of so many good scenes, like this one.

Namely because in the manga and play, it was part of Dazai's introduction into the ADA and as a result, Kunikida was suspicious of him
In the anime, it was incorporated in the present, so Kunikida's suspicions wouldn't make any sense
